can you please help me to brainstorm the possible causes of this error. I've got a paged repeater with localisation bound programitcally to an sqldatasource using a stored proc. View 7 RepliesI'm having trouble managing how to call upon databind from clicking on a row over an already populated repeater that will populate data regarding the row clicked TO another repeater on the same page.
I've succeeded doing that with postback, calling a jquery click event of that row, taking the data of the specific row and passing it onto a "Querystring" and after postpack, it will be pushed into a Session which the ObjectDataSource of the secondary repeater will recognize and populate the data tables accordingly.
The problem is, I must do it without a postback or in other words purely on client side.
I am having a File Uploader. In that, I am trying to assign the file uploader value to the text box. I did this in java script. But when I tried to hit the update button it leaves me an java script error saying Access is denied.

I have a link button embedded in a repeater but I can't figure out how to get the exact postback reference of the control so I can access it in JavaScript. Bear in mind this code is a little pseudocodish/partial anyway and I am fixing someone else's code.

My user control has a public property to retrieve the object (setobject)
How do i pass each object through to the user control and not just the object property value? What is the syntax to do this?

I am building a website whereby people, before checking out of the shopping cart (and transferring to the payment iframe) can select which items from the shopping cart list to delete. The results from the shopping card are listed in a Repeater control. There is a Button in the Repeater which deletes a record from the database (used LINQ to SQL to do that.)
THe problem is that the ItemCommand event doesn't fire when i click the button. I tried 'response.write(test)' and it still would not work. It is as if the repeater cannot interact with the commands. It does render the results tho.

How can I access my lblUpdateConfirm and turn its Text state to visible from inside the ItemCommand, so that when the user sees the newly updated ITemTemplate, the label is showing the "Update Confirmed" message?
I have a user control that contains a repeater. We have added some paging and sorting into the user control and it all works well.
What I need now is a nice way to catch the OnItemDataBound event of the inner repeater and then bubble it up to be accessible directly from the user control from within the page.
We have tried catching it and then declaring it in the user control but it just won't work.

I have a panel which has a repeater within it. Within the repeater I have a few controls. One of those controls is a Drop Down list which has an OnSelectedIndexChanged event. I can get this to fire without issue but I cannot find my DropDownList control within that repeater within the SelectedIndexChanged event . The repeater has an OnItemDataBound event and I can use the RepeaterItemEventArgs to find the control using e.Item.FindControl("ControlName") without issue but when that event occurs is NOT when I need to find the DropDownList.
What I want to do is have another control's Visible property be set to "true" when the value of the DropDownList meets a certain value. As far as I know I can only do this during the SelectedIndexChanged event and I can't change the signature of the event by trying to use RepeaterItemEventArgs.
