View 2 RepliesNormally Table data bind from top to bottom with column headers at the top of the table.Is there way to change the data binding from left to right and headers in the first column of the table?
View 1 RepliesWhen I try to edit the Identity Specification from No to Yes there isn't a way to do so. No drop-down arrow or any way to edit the text. How can I change it so that I can actually change the value to 'Yes'?
View 2 RepliesI'm using SSRS 2005 and I would like to change the text weight of a textbox (in a table) dynamically based on a condition from normal weight to bold.
View 1 RepliesI have a report and in the body are a series of list to group the data. I can change text color no problem based on the value, but what I would like to do is change the Border Color based and values. I have gone to the Border color property and added an expression, but it does not alter the border color based on field values.
I have = iif(Fields!AmountOfContribution.Value < 70, "Green", "Red")
and regardless of the the vale in AmountOfContribtion it always gives me a green border.
If I put the same code in a text box of the list I do get the proper text.
I have a question that probably is the easiest one but can't figure it out, this is the deal; I have a table in reporting services that shows the names of employees and their position in a company, but what I want to do is to make the background gray of the entire row when the position is equal to "supervisor", do I made myself clear.
View 3 Replieswith fluent nhibernate, is there a way to dynamically switch the table of a mapping at runtime?
public class XYClassMap : ClassMap<XY>
{
public XYClassMap( )
{
Table("XYTable");
Id(d => d.Id).GeneratedBy.Identity();
Map(d => d.Value);

I need to have the most left column repeat on all pages of my pdf report. My report is dynamic and is coded by xsl and is displayed through the reportviewer. I have tried KeepTogether and RepeatonNewPage and nothing happens.
View 2 Repliesi have n ASP .net page containing a HTML-control Table (LoginTable) with a background image, i want to change the background image. the Asp page has have a masterpage also. the code i am using is,

HtmlTable htmlTable = Cphmain.FindControl("LoginTable")

HtmlTable;

"./images/eventmanagement.jpg");
The find control method is returning null value
it possible to pass the query dynamically to sql server report from .net or from any other source.
View 1 RepliesI have a page which is LTR direction, and now I would like the page to work also with RTL direction. I care the most about the content in the middle of the page, that it would look nice.

I'm creating dynamic table which having more than 20 rows and number of columns can be change according to user input. first column is header and other columns need to bind using data returning from web services. And there are few rows which can editable. when user click on submit button need to validate the changed cells and process the data.I have created ASP.net table and added rows and cells one by one. but this is not reusable way of doing, is there any alternative to create editable dynamic table with left column as header?

I am trying to disable history and properties tabs from my report manager for some users.
I've been looking for advice on the internet but did not find anything about this.
i want to delete data from two table using left outer join..
here is my query:
delete from projects p LEFT OUTER JOIN emp_project empp on p.serial_no=empp.projectid where p.serial_no=7
but i am getting error:
Incorrect syntax near 'p'.
I have a gridview, and I set the datasource in page_load to a linq query. I have delete linkbutton in the grid and am writing code in gridview1_rowdeleting event to delete the record from the table and all its records in child tables. Works fine, except when I databind() after the deletes to refresh the grid, it thinks there are no records left in the table and goes to the <emptytemplate> . There are in fact many other records that should appear. When I go out of the gridview and come back in, everything is fine. The proper records have all been deleted, and the remaining ones show. Here is the code. the table being displayed is Schedule. It has child records in the two other tables.

How I can determinate width of some asp.net control, that was created dynamically?
For example I have such code:
<asp:Content ID="Content2" ContentPlaceHolderID="ContentPlaceHolder1" runat="Server">
<encosia:HighslideManager ID="HighslideManager1" runat="server" FadeInOut="true"
OutlineType="RoundedWhite" ControlBar="false" />
<table style="width: 100%; padding-left: 15px; padding-right: 15px;">

I need to calculate width of imageTD. I've trying to calculate its width in pages events, but this property also like other styles property is empty.
I'm struggling once again to get something centered on a page, and fighting with recalcitrant browsers. I can fix the problem for one browser by adding a style. I can fix it for the other browser by NOT adding the style. I can determine which browser I'm using. If I can change the properties of a div in the code behind, I can create a class and apply it to the div as needed. I added an id to the class:
<div id="alignLV2" runat="server">
but in the code behind, alignLV2 doesn't seem to have a class property. Is there a way to add a class or change the style?
For example, let's say I have a HyperLink:
<asp:HyperLink runat="server" Text="Foo" NavigateUrl="foo.aspx" />
How can I set the NavigateUrl on the server side, without having to go the code-behind?
This doesn't work of course:
<asp:HyperLink runat="server" Text="Foo" NavigateUrl="<%= urlString %>" />
(where urlString might be a string I created earlier in the page)And this doesn't work because the HyperLink is not within a data bound control:
<asp:HyperLink runat="server" Text="Foo" NavigateUrl='<%# urlString %>' />
I guess I could just use a standard anchor element:
<a href="<%= urlString %>">Foo</a>
But I'd rather not mix up HTML and ASP.NET controls, and it would be handy to be able to do this for other controls.
I have created a control with two standard asp controls in (a label and a Textbox).I want to have access to the controls within but also be available from the designer so that the label properties can be prefixed with Label_ etc for example

How can I create a property from this reflection list?
<Bowyer:FormTextbox runat="server" ID="FormTextbox2" required="True"/>[Code]....
I have a SQL Table with 2 columns, a type and a value, how can I set something up where the property is the type and the value can be set by the user? Do I basically just go through every item in the table (only 20 rows) and make a property for each one such as:
[Code]....
Is this the right way to do it? is there a better way? what about performance?
I am building a library of asp.net user controls which I am deriving from a custom UserControlBase class which further derives from actual UserControl class. Hierarchy looks like this :
ASCX -> UserControlBase : UserControl
I have this requirement to put a border around all the ASCX's. So, I thought if I can modify UserControlBase it will apply to all ASCXs. I tried following code in Page_Load of UserCOntrolBase but its not working
Code:
this.Attributes.Add("style", "border-color:#FFFF66;border-width:4px;border-style:Dashed;");
What should I do to make it work?
I am saving the file name list in the specified folder into the database. But my code should detect automatically if any new files have been added or any files have been deleted from the folder, then only the changed file names should again saved into db. I am not aware of the features of Folder properties.
