SQL Reporting :: Export To Excel And Sort Merge Cell
Mar 25, 2010
I am using three headings and one image in SSRS's Header Section. in Details Section I am using Table Control when I Export it into Excel it Export Successfully but when I want to Sort the Excel it Shows Error due to Heading (Merge Cell). How Could i achieve it in SSRS using C#.
I have been working for a bit with exproting to excel and have almost come to the solution, but have come to a problem with exporting a cell with date/time.
I am using local reports(rdlc) files for reports generation in Asp.netI am getting following error. Excel Rendering Extension : "Number of rows in the excel sheet exceeded the limit of 65536 rows" How can i solve this error.
I have designed a report in RDLC. I am using Visual Studio 2008 and C#. Below is my code to export the report in excel. It always export the report to xls format which is Excel 2003. Excel 2003 has limited rows upto 65000. When i get rows more than 65000 for example 90000 then the export fails. Excel 2007 has power to handle more than 1000000 rows. I want to export the RDLC report to Excel 2007 to overcome the issue. how by modifying the following code i can export the report to Excel 2007.
byte[] bytes = null; bytes = viewer.LocalReport.Render("Excel", null, out mimeType, out encoding, out extension, out streamIds, out warnings); Response.Buffer = true; Response.Clear(); Response.ContentType = mimeType; Response.AddHeader("content-disposition", "attachment; filename=Rendered Services." + extension); Response.BinaryWrite(bytes); Response.Flush();
I am using the ReportViewer control in Local mode on a web form in an ASP.NET application, and everything is working well. However, I need some expert with something. My app generates certain reports that cannot be exported to Excel. Therefore I would like to either
(1) preferably NOT display the "Excel" option in the Export dropdown list.
(2) detect when the user clicks the Export linkbutton, and then use code to determine what type of export is being done (Excel, PDF, etc).
I have a report that has authentication set to domain users and users can view the report. However a few of the users are getting permission errors when they try and export the report to excel. They are able to view the report, but cannot extract into excel? Has anyone ran into this before? They are getting this error:HTTP 401 ( You are not authorized to view this page).
There is difference when I view my report in report viewer 2010 and PDF/Excel/Word.In Report Viewer the alignment is correct which align left . But when i export into PDF/Excel/Word the alignment are justify . How to solve this problem?
I have a report which is working fine, but when exported to excel sheet. The columns are extending in the excel sheet upto 2 columns like Country column includes A,B cells.Likewise all the other columns are also displayed in two columns. removing this column extension.
Iam using the VS 2008 Report Viewer Control in my project . Iam using the Sub reports in many cases. when ever i export such reports containing sub reports to Excel format which is the major client requirement in our project , the exported excel file shows 'Sub Reports within table / Matrix cells are ignored. If not possible in reporting service then is there any other way to get data in excel format?
i have done one small report viewer page i simply use RDLC file to bind the data from database..in this there is one columns for photo to display the images..all the data are disply very well include images also, when i export the report to excel format its downloading, but when i open the exce file its showing below error
File error : Data may have been Lost...
i have tried all the possible but i didn't got the solution..
I have a GridView known as GV_R001 with IssueType, ActID, IssueID cells. I want to Merge the similar IssueType cell accordingly. How do i merge and also sort the IssueType cell accordingly. The following is my codes:
Protected Sub GV_R001_DataBound(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles GV_R001.DataBound For rowIndex As Integer = GV_R001.Rows.Count - 2 To 0 Step -1 Dim gvRow As GridViewRow = GV_R001.Rows(rowIndex) Dim gvPreviousRow As GridViewRow = GV_R001.Rows(rowIndex + 1) Dim cellCount As Integer = 0 If gvRow.Cells(cellCount).Text = gvPreviousRow.Cells(cellCount).Text Then If gvPreviousRow.Cells(cellCount).RowSpan < 2 Then gvRow.Cells(cellCount).RowSpan = 2 Else gvRow.Cells(cellCount).RowSpan = gvPreviousRow.Cells(cellCount).RowSpan + 1 End If gvPreviousRow.Cells(cellCount).Visible = False End If Next End Sub
Apart from that, after sorting i want to calculate the amount of IssueID are in a particular IssueType and display in a cell called "Total". Is it possible to do so? By the way, I am using Web Developer 2008, VB.net.
I have a web form that contains a GridView, which impliments Search in Grid with a TextBox and Button control in the footer. This works as I have it now. I have also implimented a Export to Excel function. The Export to Excel works by itself if the Search in Grid function is not included in the footer. The Export to Excel function errors when trying to render the Grid for the export. Is there a better way to incorporate both functions and accomplish the same thing? Am I missing something simple?
How can I export data from a Gridview to excel and once exported the data should be formatted in right to left (arabic) manner. How can I achieve this?
I've got an .rdlc report which I print from my .net app (C# Visual Studio 2005), where I use a RemoteReportPrinter object. I give it as parameters the server name, report name, report parameters, etc. Works fine. My question is, I would live to do an analagous export of that report to Excel. Set it up exactly the same, but have it export to Excel rather than print, probably using some other type of object than RemoteReportPrinter.
We have the requirement to export the data from the grid excel. We can't install the Excel on the server. The excel generated need to be in the printable format. The excel generated needs to have custom headers, footers, repeatble rows, columns and landscape / portrait orientation style.
I am exporting a gridview in MS Excel as mentioned in the following link:
[URL]
I want to set orientation of excel pages as landscape. Is there any way to do that? Any header information to be added for file being exported to set orientation of pages as landscape?
