I have a rectange that has some printable elements. I want everying in the rectangle to print on one page. I don't want a new page ALWAYS before the rectange prints, I only want a new page if the entire rectange wont print on the current page

View 1 RepliesI have a rdl report for displaying letters. When the content of a letter is very long(say 8000 characters), naturally on printing it will be printed in multiple pages. But when I do a preview, all the content is shown in one page only with vertical scrollbars. Can I have a page break here, so that I know the amount of pages my letter is going to consume on printing.?

My ASP.Net application is running on a server.
My MS SQL server is running on a separate server
My Report server is running a separate server
I tried installing the report viewer patch from [URL] and installed the same on all the three servers ... and have restarted too!
It is not working on production environment and the same is working in development environment
I am having an issue where if I click on the print icon in the report viewer embedded in an application, I get the error "unable to load client print control". However, when running through report manager, this is fine. I am running SQL Server 2005 SP3 and report viewer 9.

Not sure if that has anything to do with it. We did add the I.P. in the Local Intranet Zones but still nothing works.
Upgraded to IE 8 and received the "Unable to load client print control" msg researched this a bit and everything pointed to the Killbit hotfix. However we did not install this hotfix so this can't be the problem. Uninstalled IE 8 and went back to IE 6 still get the error msg.

I have the following code that will take the report from the reportviewer and on a click of a button, export it to PDF. So now, I can hide the reportviewer and just have the button click events generate my PDF's. I do not know how to tweak this code to enable me to print directly from another button's click event without the reportviewer being visible.

So here is the situation. We have a very simple report on a report server, which is the same server as our application server. When viewing the report directly on the report server, printing works fine. Also, when running my asp.net application locally in debug mode printing works fine. The only time we have a problem is when we deploy to the application server and access the reportviewer embedded in the page. When pressing the print button in this situation, nothing happens at all. Then when pressed a second time, I get a javascript error saying "Permission denied." with no further information. Then the page automatically refreshes and that cycle starts over.

I have the following code that from a click of a button will create a PDF of a .rdlc report. It works great but I have to have a reportviewer setup on the page in order for it to work.
Is there anyway via VB code to PDF the report without having to incorporate a reportviewer on the screen? What happens if I have a report with more than 1 tableadapter configured in it?
Also, how can the code be set to Print the report without a reportviewer?

Initially after deploying SSRS 2005 report on server, the client machine could not avail print functionality because of the error "Unable to load client print control". Inspite of allowing ActiveX installation, the print functionality was not working. Googling on this issue I found that rsclientprint.dll needs to be registered in C:Windowssystem32.successfully registering this dll, print functionality started working on some machines. However on some machines it started giving the error 'Error loading resource library.(0x8007007E)'.

View 4 RepliesI have this rdlc report which i created in visual studion, set it's datasources, etc.. when i publish the web application to the local iis on my machine if i print the report i will see a print dialog(correct behaviour) but then when i published the application to a hosting server i cannot at all print the report, at first i used to get a javascript error with "access denied as error message" and on top of the screen download active x control,was able to donwload the atcive x control but now when i click print dialog i get internet exploer has stopped working.
