Satellite Assembly Is Not Picked Up By App?

I have a web project called "TestResourceApp" with Labels.resx in App_GlobalResources folder. I want to add another language by creating a satellite assembly.
Here are the steps I took to create the satellite assembly. The default text always get displayed. What did I do wrong ?
1) Create Labels.fr.resx in a different folder.
2) Generate resource file:
Resgen Labels.fr.resx TestResourceApp.App_GlobalResources.Labels.fr.resources
3) Generate satellite assembly:
AL /t:lib /embed:TestResourceApp.App_GlobalResources.Labels.fr.resources /out:french.dll /c:fr
4) Copy french.dll to TestResourceApp/bin/fr
I have uiculture set to auto in web.config and I have change the language on the browser.

For what purpose do we need satellite assembly? We say that compiling a resource file will generate its satellite assembly. Whats the purpose of it? Can satellite assembly converts data from SQL db which is saved by default in English to any other language we specify? Whats the role of it in dynamic data.

Well,at http://www.mail-archive.com/mono-bugs@lists.ximian.com/msg71529.html they say the work around is to create a global policy assembly and redirect the assemblies that way since it is not read from the web.config.
How do you actually do what they describe there? There is a huge documentation gap in that area with Mono.Also,I can't just recompile the assembly to use the new Mono assembly versions because the assembly is closed source.(but it does work with Mono.)

My application is written VS 2008 and .net framework 3.5. Sometimes when a user picks a value in the drop-down menu, this action closes the whole window. I cannot repeat this error on my box, but one of my users gets it consistently. Have anyone ever experienced anything like this?

Why is it Intellisense only seems to show a file when it is directly in the app_controls folder:

tagPrefix="UC"
src="~/App_Controls/footer.ascx"/>
If the file is put into a subfolder:

tagName="footer"
tagPrefix="UC"
src="~/App_Controls/BaseControls/footer.ascx"/>
it will not show in the Intellisense list.

I have a web.config in a sub directory with an appSetting in it. It does not seem to be picked up and added to the appSettings collection? what I'm doing wrong or how to get round setting directory specific settings?
The directory has this config file

And its picked up (or not) by an ascx control like so

I am developing web applications using csharp. How can I ensure that some records are not picked using sql. I have a table with records and its content differ from each other dot ".". Table is as follows
Student1 Details2 Details2
1 Musol School Books
2 Musol School Books.
3 Golpp Temo Books
4 Golpp Temo Books.
How can I select records without dot "."at the end only. For example
1 Musol School Books
3 Golpp Temo Books
I have used sql but I am not getting it. My sql is as follows
select * from studentDD where Details2 !=".%"
It is not working.

I'm running a website on a SQL 2008 database. At the moment most of my data is in cache but what I want to do is be able to update the data on a regular basis, say every 3 hours, maybe more frequently. Obviously I can set the cache to expire and pick up new data, but how can I replace part of the database (because some tables are populated by the user) in the background, so that when the cache expires the new data is picked up?
I notice when I upload data through VS, it wont let me upload if the DB is in use - so how do I get round issues like this?

Before using any class in your website project/page we have to add it's assembly reference to our project. Right?
Now, when I am using SmtpClient class from System.Net assembly after adding the System.Net.Mail namespace in namespace node of application's web.config file but without adding assembly reference to the project, it still accepting and running the code. Why?
I enquired the machine's web.config file located at C:WINDOWSMicrosoft.NETFrameworkv2.0.50727CONFIG but didnt find assembly reference for System.Net there also.
So bit confused how it is working and where the assembly reference has been added and how?

I just want to create Shared Assembly and use that assembly in our application.I am using VS 2005.
Step 1
I am trying to build a dll.
Create class library project <TestDllHell>.
Under that project add CalculationArea.cs file.

Then TestDllHell.dll add into GAC successfully.
Now I want to use it in my Website project so did the following steps but unable to view that dll in .Net Reference List Box.
•I go for Run regedit to edit the Windows Registry.
•Navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoft.NETFrameworkAssemblyFolders key.
•Right click on the AssemblyFolders key, then select New > Key. Enter the name of your assembly (without the .dll extension).
•Double click on the key's (Default) value. The Edit String dialog will appear. Enter the full path of the folder where your assembly resides. Note that all assemblies in that folder will appear in the Visual Studio list.
•IMPORTANT! You must exit and restart Visual Studio to see your assembly in the Add Reference dialog.
My question is that
How can I get that dll in my add reference assembly List .Net section?
And if I modify that dll(TestDllHell.dll) then again register in GAC then version will be different,So how can I told my client application that which dll you choose?

There are two instances of this control in the page. When running the client side version it hits the wrong one (the version of the control which is disabled). You can see from the generated HTML both are correctly specified. I'm not sure how .NET works out which clientside function to call given they both have the same name.

Can anyone tell me if its possible for a site or application that is running against .net 2.0 to call an assembly that was compiled using the 4.0 framework?
I always thought that this was possible, however when I try and add the reference to Visual Studio, I get an error saying that its not happy with the difference in versions.

I created this website and it work fine on local machine but when i upload it to remote server then it throws error that it cant find assembly....
The assembly is not in my Bin folder and i can not find it in my machine or at least don't know where to look.
Parser Error Message: Could not load file or assembly 'MySql.Data, Version=6.2.3.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=c5687fc88969c44d' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

I need to compile a class library (DLL) from an ASP.NET source. Now when I try to build it says this:

Now I know that I have to put it in the web.config file. But there is no web.config file it's just the source of the dll that needs to be compiled.
