Security :: Keep User From Clicking Verification Link Again?

I'm using the following code to send an email verification link (from the security tutorials). How would I modify the code below so that if the user has already clicke the verification link, it will display "account already verified" and redirect them to the login page?

when a user registers himself on my website i send a confirmation email to the user.when the user clicks on the link in email he is supposed to be redirected to a verified page.but instead he is redirected to the home page of the website.but when the user copy pastes the link then it is working fine.the above scenario is working fine on my local machine but not on the server.

i have popup on my webform with name and email id submit button,So when u click on submit button the name n email is entered into SQLSERVER database.As user click on submit a verification link should be sent to him table named "SUBSCRIBE" in database having columns :Name, Email, Date Time,Validated,ValidationEmailSent,Validation code.where name n email will come from as user entered....but others has to b generated. where
validation=if clicked on link den 1 otherwise 0;
validation Email = if email id is proper value is 1 not proper value should be 0;
validation code is ramdom no;
values of this 3 columns will b updated in database as per user response. How to write code for this problem as i have never used database sql server???

I'm using asp.net's built-in membership provider with security question-and-answer enabled for password recovery against a SQL Server 2005 db. For some users, this works fine and they're able to receive their passwords. For others, and it's not clear what separates the two groups, the security answer is never properly processed. It doesn't matter if the answer is correct or incorrect, the page merely reloads without confirming or denying the request.As for events, VerifyingAnswer is being triggered, but not AnswerLookupError (if answer is incorrect) or SendingMail (if answer is correct). I ran a SQL trace during one instance, and the aspnet_Membership_GetUserByName stored procedure is being called, but nothing else gets called after. I would expect that aspnet_Membership_GetPassword would be called, which passes the security answer as a parameter, but it isn't.

There used to a lot of tutorials on the asp.net site and I can't find any of them anymore. Anyway, I'm looking for a tutorial on how to send out an email to the newly registered user for verficiation. After the user checks his/her email and click the link in the email, it automatically unlock the user's account and allow him/her to login to the site. Below is what I have so far:

The user does receive the verification email and when he/she click on the link it does come over to the verification.aspx page; however, the user still can't login. When I looked at the status of the user, it's still locked.

I am using the register.aspx that came with VS2010 when I create a new website. When a user is created, the user is automatically logged and NOT send in a verification email. I thought I've modified that but it's not working. Here's what I have:

Doing password recovery, after a user enters their user name a verification page appears. The page seems to appear from out of nowhere as I did not create it.I would like to have controll over it and reformat it.PS: I have a number of small issues like this with Login. Could anyone provide guidance about the common technique of sending an email to the new user -> new user clicks the link in the email -> and then the account becomes activated and ready for use?
Currently using the CreateUserWizard control in .NET v4 and a Membership db in SQL Server 2008. If I need to do this via custom code and not the CreateUserWizard that's fine. Would be nice to see expert thoughts on this common, enterprise quality, new account validation technique.

I have a site on which members can select from a list of links (from a ListView in profiles.aspx) in order to view details of another site member (in profile_detail.aspx), using this code:

I would like to do the following tasks but need coaching:From a completely different page (in other words, not from profiles.aspx this time), the user clicks on a photo of a site member; the program picks up the UserID associated with the photo from a database table and saves it to a session variable; completely bypasses the profiles.aspx page; goes directly to profile_detail.aspx and displays the correct person.
My problem: I don't how to bypass clicking the link on profiles.aspx.In other words, I want to go directly to profile_detail.aspx and apply the UserID session variable in displaying the person who matches that UserID. You could say that I need to programmatically "click a link" found inprofiles.aspx.

I have noticed that many new modern websites (and templates like themforest templates) are being built without any page flicker.What I mean by page flicker is that when you click on a link the hole screen flicker and then the new page is retrieved and viewed.Here are some examples of these new sites (templates) that do not have any page flicker.

I have a UpdateProgress that trigger fine when I click on stuff inside my UpdatePanel. However I have some regular HTML link ("<a href>") outside of the panel. How can I reuse the UpdateProgress so when I click on those link, it will show my loading screen?

My client wants to pass values through the query string, but they don't want the query string to be displayed in the browser's address bar. The values being passed are for tracking purposes. I know that postback doesn't happen after you click on href link.Is there any way I can get the value out of the query string without displaying it in the browser's address bar? I think this may be impossible, but I may be wrong; I'm hoping to see if anyone has any answers.
