May 17, 2010i am trying to install SQL Server R2 on my windows 2003 server (I downloaded the x64 version) but on the installation directory, just before i click next, to get the error, the path is as follows: C:ProgramFiles(x86)Microsoft Sql Server im not too sure if thats the problem though, just guessing, since i dont know anyother problem, and its a new server. I also tried multiple server restarts and still got the same error.

Getting Service Unavailable Error When Browsing IIS Website?
Jan 28, 2011I have a website in IIS 6.0 using an application pool with a custom service account. when I browse the website, I get an error "service unavailable" and the error in event log says "The identity of application pool 'SampleAppPool' is invalid, so the World Wide Web Publishing Service can not create a worker process to serve the application pool. Therefore, the application pool has been disabled". I think the utility "Aspnet_regiis" can be used to grant access to an account to IIS metabase according to the article [URL but is that the right way to fix this issue? because this utility is used for multiple things and may do more than just granting the permissions to the account, or should I just add the account manually to "IIS_WPG" group?

Sep 13, 2010I have three folders , which original is build by vistual 2003 , recent ly I install vistuall 2005 on Win 7 and succesful covert one folder from vistual 2003 t0 2005 ( I forget how , I am new on win 7) , when I deat with my second folder I always get Test2( unviable) under the Solution Exporer ( vistual 2005) But I can access this folder by brows( when I try http://localhost/test2/) I get all the files under this folder , why I can see them on my vistual studio 2005???

Sep 14, 2010We have an issue with a .NET 2.0 web service application that is generating a module not found exception when we try to load on server 2008. A second server running the same 2008 version loads the service fine.As part of the investigation we have taken the default hello world .NET 2.0 web service and deployed to both servers and have exactly the same issue with it running fine on one but not the other. The issue is trying to track down the module in question. Running process explorer and dependency walker doesn't seem to give us a clue.

1. Create a new website in IIS with a host header.
2. Browse to the directory where the asp.net website is and setting it as home directory.
3. Stopping the website and starting it.
I am using Visual studio 2005 to develop my Asp.net website.

Oct 31, 2010I have built my site using VS.Net 2010 on my XP machine. I would like to deploy it to my server which is a Windows 2003 Server. I have tried to do it with FTP, but it keeps failing with the error that "Front Page Extensions are not installed on the web server". When I check the server the extensions were installed and I also checked IIS and the service for the extension is allowed.
