I download ajax extension from microsoft but in VS 2005 the extension is version 1.0.61025 and i install .net framework 3.5 it will install ajax extension 3.5.0. how come i switch or update my extension to version 3.5.0 script manager error occur? i did remove 1.0.6 from reference the same error occur again.

1) Should I change the iframe to a User/Server control? or just a div?
2) I currently just have HTML links with load my iframe based on the page the user wants to see. How should I load (1) from the main links?
3) I have multiple levels of user controls. So control A could dynamically load Child controls...which each of those could load child controls. Do All these controls get a scriptManagerProxy? WHere should the original scriptManager go from (1)?
visual studio 2010 has Extension Manager to install some extensions from online.
When I try to go to online gallery, it gave me the error:
Cannot search for online exensions because an error occured while trying to contact the server
but my internet connection is fine. Not sure if it is MS server error or some configuration need to be set up in Visual studio 2010 for proxy?
It is fine for trail version of ultimate, but not working with premium.
Also can not get online template when adding new item.

It did enabled in Extension Manager Tools/Options page. Internet connection was fine.
I have a HTML editor embedded on a page based on a master page, and I can't switch between the different views, Design View or HTML Text.
Actually, I can switch to HTML View but it won't switch back to Design View. Tried IE 8 and Firefox 3.6.
Is something like this possible?

I am new to the concept and feel like there must be something really easy that I am missing.
I have two Main Tabs and in a TabContainer.I have 5 Second Level Tab Panels under Main Tabs.Two MainTabs work as mode: find and work:The default is Find Mode with First Tab visible.the user selects some field and the result is displayed in the same Panel in a GridView.When the user views the result it is displayed in the second TabPanel of the Second Level Tab which is then set to visible while other 3 tabs are still invisible.I want to go back to the Find mode and have it in the orignal state.Same thing with the Main Tabs:
When I am in work mode: the other 3 tabs are visible and the previous two Tabs are invisible.When I want to go back to Find Mode. I want to retain the what the user had selected in the 2nd level Tabs before moving to the Work panel.
I have developed an ajax enabled website BUT before deploying website to the production server i want to be sure whether Ajax extension (system.web.extension) is installed or not? Because i don't have access to production server physically specially to the ..windowsassembly directory, so is there any programmatic approach to determine whether ASP.NET AJAX is installed on production server?

I tried this tutorial [URL] .... It doesn't work with and vs 2010, and ajax control toolkit 4 ( I downloaded from link belowand vs 2010) and It doesn't work with ajaxcontroltollkit 3.5 I downloaded from same link.but when i put Your AjaxControlToolkit.dll in bin folder of my project it works fine.
I downloaded the same version of tolkit.dll as yours (3.0.30930.0) and I worked for me.
but I'd like to use version 4.
Got some small(Basic) doubt on update panel. Using Update Panel, Is it possible to stop updating a part of Page? The problem is, I have a very small portion of page, in which I'm updating some data using JavaScript, Which I want to retain(in ASP language Maintain State) for any post back that will occur in Page. I thought placing update panel will solve the purpose, But as per Update panel principle, It will updates only that part of page based on the Triggers conditions. I want it exactly in reverse way (It is very difficult for me to place Update panel for the entire page excluding the small part).
View 8 Replies I have to update a gridview inside an updatepanel in a button click.The thing is i'm having gridview in contentpage.I have placed scriptmanager in masterpage.when i clicked on the button to trigger the updatepanel,no update is happening in gridview.Moreover,after placing updatepanel control in contentpage,i saw a redcurvedline (which is an error basically) below the updatepanel control's text which is showing an error as "Element 'updatepanel' is not known element.This can occur if there is a compilation error in the website" in .aspx page's source view.I have attached the screen shot here of that page here for your reference.

Have spent hours trying to create a Dynamic Data Field Template holding a DropDownList which is extended by the AJAX Cascading DropDown extension.Final form holds multiple cascading dropdown boxes. User selects Country (Land) then Postcodes, Counties (Provincie) are populated. Once postcode is selected then towns (Plaats) are populated. The problem I am now facing is that the viewstate for the dropdown lists is not being saved/restored after an insert action or custom validation error. Everything is working fine but when page expires(means session ends) and I try to uupdate(edit,delete record) it fadeout the grid but donot fadein and shows following javascript error as image. I want if session ends it should redirect to login instead of fading out and showing javascript error message

View 3 RepliesWe have two update panels on our webpage. Now first update panel is having button cancel. While second update panel is having a file upload control.
Now if the user uploads a file that is going to upload in about 2 mins, and in between, say after 30 seconds the user clicks the cancel button, the upload taking place in update panel 2 should stop.
How do we achieve this ?

I use this user control in more than 1 location on the same page.... problem is, when ucA posts back, I see the update progress control for both ucA and ucB. I assume this is because it is a user control and the update panel and progress are named the same?
Either way - how do I make it so that the update progress only displays for the proper user control?
I've exempted the irrelevant bits of code. Essentially, I am trying to change the URL of an image control inside of an update panel inside of a custom user control from a function called inside an update panel from my main page. Using UpdatePanel.Update() isn't working: I end up waiting for the next full page POST to occur before all the updates I make to CustomControl from buttons within the main page's update panel are visible. I verified that Update() was being called via the debugger: there are no issues in that department.
Here, you can see Custom Control and the Button declared. The button is in an update panel to avoid giving a full POST and causing the whole page to reload.

This control stores images within their own seperate update panels because rerendering the images is very slow (it requires processing arrays of millions of datapoints) and the user only ever needs to modify one image at a time. I'm using Image1 as an example.
