VS 2008 Sql Doesn't Return Any Data From The Database?

I have a Gridview control on an .aspx page. what is the first gridview control event, that gets triggered/fired.
The gridview control that I have have boundcolumns. I have configured the selectcommand in the .aspx page to pull the data from database as shown below:

Question: Where the sql doesn't return any data from the database I would like to display some message on the .aspx page saying "No records found". To do that, I need to know the gridview event that gets fired.
I have an update function in my data layer which is defined as:
public int UpdateRBTable(parameters ...) This calls a SQL Server Stored Procedure to perform an update function on the database.
The process does its job for updating the table. However, the stored procedure has a return value (which indicates how many rows were updated), but this return value is not returned to the application. The application always shows that a zero was returned from the stored procedure.

I have a little problem with a query. I'm selecting data using the between command, But when I select the initial date equal to the final date the query doesn't show data.I know that the problem is the format. In my database I got something like this:2009-05-22 15:32:52.000. But when I send the date parameter from ASP.NET Page I sent only the Date (2009-05-22).So, I want to fix this thing. I cannot change the Datetime inside the database.I was thinking adding 1 day to the final date, So when the user select the same date I change the range behind the scene and then show the data. What do you think?
I'm using membership and roles in a Silverlight Business Application. There is a RegistrationOperation_Completed event in the RegistrationForm.xaml.cs code behind file with:
where I would like to obtain the UserId that was created for the newly registered user so that I can use it as the key to populate a userdetail table. How do I get it? All I have is the UserName that was used to register the new user.
WebContext.Current.User does not appear to return the UserId.
In my asp.net page I pass paremeters to a stored procedure and then inside a try blog the foloving line: affectedRows = ssqldbsorce.insert
never returns expected result from stored procedure.
Inside stored procedure event if I explicitely write the following line "return 5" for example, it never returns 5, only -1, 1, 2
For example here a very simple one without output parameters(I still should be able to return a value without output parameters, right?):
ALTER PROCEDURE [dbo].[createUser] @regCode varchar(10) AS SELECT * FROM dbo.reg_code WHERE reg_code=@regCode .... ---other statements, and for the sake of the example lets return 5 RETURN 5

Is there another way maybe in the assp.net page to capture the value in the variable from a stored procedure.
The following code represents an EditItemTemplate in my ListView. My problem is that when I click the Update button, everything updates but then the display doesn't go to the ItemTemplate. According to Microsoft: "By default, theListView control returns to read-only mode after an update operation."
We just moved an ASP.net application to a new server and are now getting this error when we try to return to a page: Http/1.1 Service Unavailable
In testing, I find that the address of the page does not include the SSL designator. It is trying to use http:// instead of https://. This value is coming from the Context.Request.Url property of the page.
why Context.Request.Url would not return the "https" for a page under SSL?

I been trying to attach a database in sql 2008 express created in VS 2008 Professional. I have been getting error message and codes which there is no support for once you click the link in the message whats up with that? to my most recent memory it had something to do with permissions... but I was logged in as adminstrator so that confuses me.
Using the Web Platform installer, in installed both the Visual Web Developer Express 2008 and SQL Server Management Studio Express 2008. Next, I connected to my local SQL Server Express 2008 and created a simple database and table using Visual Web Developer Express 2008 where the database file resided in the app data folder of my website. I can connect and explore the table from both Visual Web Developer 2008 as well as the full blown version of Visual Studio 2008.

When i tried to attach 2008 database in sql server 2008 it is throwing the error-

when make buakup to my data base and open the database digram this error appear : Database diagram support objects cannot be installed because this database does not have a valid owner. I have been handed a program written by someone else, that has been deployed and doesn't work correctly after deployment.
Basically we have a button with the following:

in Dev the print button works everytime. I noticed that this references System.Drawing and that wasn't being deployed as part of the solution. I changed this so that this dll gets deployed as part of the solution into the bin folder for the app, however it has made no difference.

I don't know what I am doing wrong here, but the database doesn't get updated when I press the button.
