Button Click Doesn't Call Function Even When Button Attribute OnClick Is Set To That Function
Mar 19, 2010I have an aspx page with two buttons, one of the buttons has an OnClick attribute to a function that should be run when clicked. When the other button is clicked there is an if statement checking if the page is a postback, if it is then I run some statements that need to be run when that button is clicked. That postback button works fine. However, the other button, when it's clicked the function it's supposed to call never executes, and the statements inside if (Page.IsPostBack) get executed instead. What can I do to fix this? Is there a way to make the button that calls a function not do a Post back?

Feb 3, 2010I am writing my first AJAX enabled page. Basically I am trying to expand out the lines of a Purchase Order (PO) using our company database. What I want to do is have a button that will that will call on a javascript to update a div field with a table for the PO lines of that PO and at the same time change the function that is called by the button to a function that will collapse the list. How would i do this?
I have tried the line in javascript:
document.getElementById('Button ID').onclick=CollapsePOLines(POID)
However it doesnt seem to change the onclick event for that button, it doesnt throw an error though.

Visual Studio :: Adding A Server Control On Aspx Page Does Not Add Events In Aspx.designer.vb File?
Oct 5, 2010I work in VS 2008. Whenver I add a server control(Label) and set it properties in aspx.vb and build the solution, I get the error "Label1 not declared". While analyzing this issue I noticed that the event handler statements for the Label1 where not added in the designer.asp.vb file. These statement would actually be added automatically when I drag and drop a control to my webpage.
I would also like to inform the scenario after which this problem came to me. I was working in VS 2008 , VS 2005 and VS 2003 in the same machine.Could this have caused the issue ?
Now each and everytime when I add a control, I am adding the "With Events" code in the designer page to make my build succesfull which makes me to spend more efforts.
C# - ASPX FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage Function Is Not Working Anymore
Mar 23, 2010I have an ASPX web site and I have code in there to redirect from the login page with the call to
"FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage(username, false);" This sends the user from the root website folder to 'website/Admin/'. I have a 'default.aspx' page in 'website/Admin/' and the call to redirect works on a previous version of the website we have running currently, but the one that I am updating on a separate test server is not working. It gives me the error "Directory Listing Denied. This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed." I have this in the config file:

under the "authentication" option and...

for the location of Admin.Also, there is no difference in the code between the web.config, Login.aspx, or the default.aspx files on the current server and the one on the test server, so I am confused as to why the redirect will not work on both. It even works in the Visual Studio server environment, for which the code is also identical.

Sep 22, 2010I Simply drag a button from the toolbar onto a new page with a master page and a title, double click it so that I enter the Button1_Click function and sets a breakpoint and add some random code. The breakpoint nor the code never fires. I've tried this on several different pages and controllers, but with the same results: The page reloads, but no code is run. I Have Tried:
Ive tried with three different webbrowsers with all plugins disabled. I've tried to turn of Causes Validation, - Nothing changes. I've tried to clean and Rebuild the project, - Still nothing. I've tried to create a whole new project, -Does'nt work there either. Other Information: A RadioButtonList OnDatabound Event works, but whenever i try to do a Button or ImageButton click event the code for the event never fires. Ive programmed several webapplications in other versions of visual studio and ASP.NET but I have never encountered this problem before.
Breakpoints work in other parts of the code and the compile settings is set to DEBUG.

Am I supposed to file a bug report or does anyone out there have a solution?
