I have an aspx page with two buttons, one of the buttons has an OnClick attribute to a function that should be run when clicked. When the other button is clicked there is an if statement checking if the page is a postback, if it is then I run some statements that need to be run when that button is clicked. That postback button works fine. However, the other button, when it's clicked the function it's supposed to call never executes, and the statements inside if (Page.IsPostBack) get executed instead. What can I do to fix this? Is there a way to make the button that calls a function not do a Post back?
I am creating a page which contains an updatepanel.
In this update panel there is a grid view in which there is a button. on click of this button i m showing a dialog box which takes some inputs and submits data.
However this all is working very fine untill and unless I use some requiredfieldvalidators to validate the input.
when i use validators, these validators works very fine bt the submit button on popup does not work.
I had tried to use validation group but it still does not work at all.
I have a webform where I have validators and submit buttons.WhatI am looking for one of my button is1. When its clicked, if all the validators are satisfied, 2. If all the validators are ok, It should disable the button for postback so that user cannot click it again during its process ( means during postback )3. it should enable back after postback if possible otherwise I can do it from code behind at the end of my process,
i created a "create" view for creating a new record of my used model. The View includes partial views with the editor-fields. But the "Create" submit button doesn't work. When i copy the editor-fields to the create view without using partial views the submit button works. Here is my code: Create.cshtml

I have a web form in which I create many controls including a submit button dinamically.
I want to check a condition in the button's click event and if it comes true, call a javascript funtion to show an alert. but the problem is when I use :
I need to call a javascript funtion, on the click event of buttons(asp button or html button) in my gridviw. Also I need to pass the ID from the gridview(datakey value) as a parameter to the javascript function.
ie ,All the rows in my gridview has a button field,on clicking each of the buttons ,a javascript function is to be fired ,and the ID of that particular row from gridview(datakey value) should be passed to the javascript as a parameter.
I have a content page (<asp:content>) where I am using javascript and normally I am adding the attribut in the code-behind page. however I now need to add a javascript function that will cause when the body or panel loads. I have a test javascript function that simply shows an alert box but I cannot get it to display. Is there a special way to do this in a content page?
I added a Button and a LinkButton to same page and set same properties to both of them. LinkButton works fine but Button's PostBackURL not work after executing javascript (Clicked "OK" in message window). it posted back to same page instead of second page. following is the code:
I have a form that occassionally submits more than once per user. I am assuming the problem is that the user gets impatient and clicks submit multiple times. I have a bunch of asp validation controls on the page. There is multiple validation groups, the submit button belongs to the "main" group. How do I validate the "main" group, then if the page is valid, disable the button and submit it? I tried adding this.disabled=true; but that just disables it and doesnt submit or anything.
I have a page with an update contentpanel, with 4 panels inside. Image buttons outside the update panel control control which panel is visible. I am trying to call an animation from a javascript function, but the animation doesn't work, everything else does.
Button1 works fine, it causes the validator to work. Button2 works fine, it doesn't cause the validator to work because it's CauseValidation=false But, Button3 in Repeater1 items doesn't work as I want, it still fire the validation of the validator.
Now if I dont insert any text in the TextBoxHouseNumber field, and push submit, the FieldValidator fires as it should. But if I now click a button that automatically fills the TextBoxHouseNumber with text from a Jquery/Ajax function, the field validator still shows. Itīs like "Hey, the user hasnt made any changes to the textbox, so I wont bother check it".
