View 1 RepliesI've been working on an usercontrol with a jquery timer in it. At first I had the jquery within the usercontrol. But when I add 2 of those controls to my page the second usercontrol isn't showing it's data very well.Now I've put the jquery into the mainpage and the usercontrol only uses the id's of the jquery.

I have a usercontrol that wprks fine as along as one instance is on a pageut as soon as i have two instances of it nothing works. I figured out that it could be the pageload function that adds handler for keydown and other that is the cause.As each instance is reproducing the same javascript in the viewsource.So can you tell me how can i make the usercontrol that it can have multiple nstances that have their own javascript pageload
View 4 RepliesI have a web page that contains a couple of button controls. The page is pretty simple, just trying to add a record to the DB. When I click the Submit button, every function/procedure that is supposed to be executed does execute except the Button Click Event. I've checked to make sure all occurrencs of the control are named correctly in the code-behind as well as the javascript. I've set the debugger to debug every function/procedure as well and nothing happens. Why this would occur.

1.) Have created a div with a dropdown list and ok, cancel button
2.) On document ready - registering div created on step 1 into a jQuery dialog
3.) on a javascript button click - I am opening this dialog box.
4.) Now, the problem is - the jQuery dialogbox which I have created, needs to be used by other button clicks as well on same page. Now, my div's (which is a dialog at runtime using jQuery) ok button click is already engaged with a javascript function (button1 click) and I can not associate other button's click events with it - thus stuck up here and have no clues or hit to resolve this.

I am trying to add an instance of UserControl each time on button_click event, it works for the first time only. I am adding IDs to user control by appending integers from ViewState. Why does it not add work for subssequent clicks. Here is the simplified version with the same behavoir.

I have a usercontrol which has few textboxes and associated validators. (This is for holding common form fields which i include at multiple place.)
This usercontrol doesnot have any buttons.
The user control is included inside a page. The page has other textboxes and a submit button.
How do i ensure the the forms in usercontrol is valid when i click the submit button outside on the page?

1. When executed I have a "Add Building" and "Click here to add tower" on the page.
2. When clicked on "Add Building" a editable gridview appears when I enter the text and say update.
3. When I click on "Click here to add tower" another button "Add Tower" is displayed on the

4. On this "Click here to add tower" event I have called the usercontrol, where the usercontrol has a editable gridview and a button called "Add Tower".
5. When I click on "Add Tower" a editable gridview should be displayed but the editable gridview is not displayed ,it disappears.

ABC user controls Yes button Click it executes some serverside function.But I want to close/hide this user control after the Yes button Click ( like confirm box in javascript).But its not hiding after setting the visible property to false. i am currently developing an asp.net project. there is a previous, next, and cancel button that the user can utilize, but the problem is that everything is broken into controls so that if they hit the browser's back button it will reset everything and take them to the very beginning. i would like to capture the onbeforeunload event and trigger the previous button click event (i.e. treating navigation like clicking the previous button).

View 3 RepliesI have a textbox with autopostback=true and a button to save the data in the form. Functionality works fine when entering a value in the textbox, tabbing out of the textbox and clicking on the save button. But issue comes up when entering a value in the textbox and directly clicking on the save button without tabbing out of the text box. In the second scenario, only textchanged event fires and save click event dosen't fire. What I was expecting was after exection of textchanged event, save click event should also fire. But this is not happening.

View 2 RepliesI have one Button (Refresh Button), One ComboBox (containing DEV and UAT as its items) and a GridView on my asp page.
I am filling up my Grid with values from database on the ComboBox's 'TextChanged' event and Buttons's 'Click' event.
First time when page is loaded, there is no information in the grid, but when i choose DEV/UAT from the ComboBox 'TextChanged' event is fired, the grid is filled with the relevant data. That is what i want.
When i click the Refresh Button to refresh the data again, first comboBox's 'TextChanged' event and then 'btn_Click' event is fired.
I want then when a button id pressed only 'Click' event to be fired and not the ComboBox's 'TextChanged' event.
