Web Forms :: Change The Link Button Image On Page Load?

I have a form in which user select the number of policies.say 1 or 2 or 3..
When user goes to the next page, based on the number of policy selected in the previous page, i hav to change the link button's image respectively. ie if user chose 1 the button should have 'Continue' or if the user has chosen more than 1 then button should have 'Next Policy'. I am aware that this has to be done on the page_load. Basically how to change the link button's images at runtime based on a condition.
1. I need to load a user control on link click event of a link button during postback of aspx page.
2. On button click event of a save button on that aspx page, I need to read the selected values from that user control on further postback.
If I write the loadcontrol code in link_click event, the control is not recognized at all in the button_click event. When I shift it to page_init and execute only during not postback, the user control loads with default values.
I am using two data list one at the bottom & another at the Top to display paging. On Page load, I need to access link button placed inside Data List. Actually I had got two Datalists. I can access one Datalist Link button like this:
In my gridview i am returning values from database in which 'filelocation' is containing location of pages over my server and i want to use coustom linkbutton in templete field to raise a event and set session variable and then redirect to that page .
My question is how to get value fron 'filelocation' coloum in gried view when a linkbutton in clicked and onclick is fired and also set session value at taht point.
I am trying to change the image url of an image button in my gridview. I cannot seem to be able to do this in the code behind. Is there a way I can do this through the image buttons controls?
I am using link button in li and when i click on link button its color not changing i have applied the css so when i click on some link only that link color must be white others must be black. Which is visited that must be only color changed others must be white.

i am using one gridview with linkbutton when i click the linkbutton it should sending a mail to respective email id , i write sending mail method and called at onCommand of link button in the gridview. it is working fine, my problem when i successfully a mail is sended then clicked linkbutton should change the color that indicates that mail are sended.
I have used caching in a page that shows user name[lable] and a linkbutton[login/logout].
When user logs in this text has to be changed from code but due to caching on the page none of them is changed.label I can replace with substitution control. Is there any way out to change linkbutton text now.
I'm trying to get a link to load a new page that passes a value to the new page. To my dismay I've found out (or im doing it wrong) that this doesn't work in the repeater.

i have a partial view which iterates over a colection so at the end of the day i have several partial views on my page in a long list.within each partial view, i have an actionlink..on clicking this link, i want to refresh that particular partial view and change the link to an image.how can i do this with jquery and MVC 2 ?i think i have seen something like this on the facebook and twitter interface.
I have a text input to get a 'roomID' and an ASP button that calls an 'enterRoom' function:

Now when I click that button it essentially goes to the right page in all ways but the URL stays as my default.aspx instead of changing to users/room.aspx?roomID=23423. I've tried it in IE and Firefox with the same results. Is this something I'm not understanding about Server.Transfer or why is this happening and how do I fix it?
This link button is used to import/export data. I have added an attribute on click of this link button(AddNewRunLinkButton) to display a progress bar using javascript - SetInterval function. If I remove this attribute, the image and label is getting displayed, otherwise only link button is getting displayed.

I have an issue that I've spent quite a bit of time trying to solve. I have a Detailsview and a Gridview that I have linked using the ID field, It has now been decided that they want to have individual pages for each Unit. I have this working for the most part, however the detailsview is not being displayed until I hit select the row in the gridview.
How do I get this to automatically display on page load?
I was trying to design a web page using radiobuttons and images. I have 3 radiobuttons(Tiger , elephant, Imphala) and 3 images of those animals.
Now I need to display only tiger when i check tiger. and only elephant when i check elephant. I have put all 3 radiobuttons in one group name and enabled Autopostback.
i need to write in the RadioChanged event handler.
