I have built an ASP.NET (.NET v4) application in VS 2010. It is working just fine. But when I try to create deployment package (so I can deploy it in our test IIS 7.5 Server), it gives me error like this,
Error 1 Could not open Source file: Could not find file 'C:11-2 estobjDebugCSAutoParameterize ransformedWeb.config'. 0 0 test
Thing is in past, I had deployed the SAME application using the SAME method.
I am working on a website that draws fractals on the screen. It was my intention that with a right mouse click the picture could be saved to the visitor's computer. But that I get an error message "filetype blocked".The file is called test.jpg and is drawn to the screen as a bitmap. Could anybody tell me how to 'unblock' the right mouse click so that a visitor can save a picture he or she likes?Maybe it would be possible to let people download the image? But how would that work?

I've followed these very basic steps and I'm stuck with this error:

I am trying to add a RequiredFieldsValidator control to the page. Here are the steps I followed...
1- Menu options: File -> New Web Site
2- ASP.NET Empty Web Site
3- Website -> Add new item
4- Select Web Form with Place Code in separate file checked. Master page not checked.
5- No changes to the web.config file
6- I added a couple text boxes and labels to the page and a button.
7- If I click the button now, no problem. The page submits and is displayed with the information entered in the text box fields.
8- Add a RequiredFieldsValidator next to the first text box.
9- I set the ErrorMessage to some text
10- I set the ControlToValidate to the first text box's ID
11- I save then run with CTL + F5
12- The page is displayed in IE 7. I hit the Submit button and I get the popup error described above.
I used the Web Platform Installer for the installation. Everything went fine. All other aspects of my development and testing have been fine. This is the first major roadblock I hit. I think it has something to do with a configuration setting in the web.config file, but I do not know what setting to add/change.

At first, I thought the problem is with the source code and we were thinking the source code we have is different with the ones deployed on test and prod servers. But when I tried to upload it on the test server, I don't get the specified cast is not valid error.
I have .sql database that I created in Visual Web Developer. I have uploaded the .sql file to the host company and they have successfully imported it. When I try to test the database on the server I am getting an error page (listed below). I have inserted a connection string in the web.config file (see below) and isnerted the relevant fields.

i have to do some message exchange with a 3rd party (in a website).When the client posts a page, i start the message exchange. When that doesn't succeed for some reason, i report this to the client by rendering the page with a message.On the background, in a separate thread, i start a process to send abort messages to the 3rd party. I can't do this while the user is waiting for the page to come back, because it might take a few minutes.But in a test project, the test ends when the message to the 3rd party is sent, and after the new thread is started. But it seems that the new thread also ends, when the test is done.
Is that normal behaviour?I do start the thread in a new class with a reference to 2 objects from the class which tries to send the message in the first place, may that be a problem?EDIT: it keeps running when the whole process is started in IIS
i Have upgraded my Reports from Report server VS 2005 to VS 2008 .
My reports works fine in local, development & test server.
After Ugrading to 2008 it works fine in local server & devlopement serverr.
When i deployed to Test server i am trying to access my reports i am getting below errors,

I am doing Automated coded ui testing in asp.net 2010 for web application. I am testing site and i need to know how can i create the test which will work with all browsers. Right now i created test in IE 8 but its not working in Firefox. So is there any way i can create one test and will work in all browser.
View 2 Replies I was having trouble getting my shopping cart to connect to paypal. So I wrote a simple webform that has one button and one label. If I comment out the response.redirect(url) and look at the content that get written to Lable1.Text it looks find. Also, if I copy the content of the label and paste it into my web browser it goes to Paypal and displays correctly.
However, if I uncomment the response.redirect(url) I get the following error: ERROR: Unable to Send to PayPal - Thread was being aborted.
I am testing from localhost??? Should I be able to test this from localhost?
I have put ??? where my Sandbox email address is.....I don't know if letting other see that or not is an issue....otherwise I would have left it in for someone to try this code.

I have a folder called GUI. Inside GUI thers another folder called PDF and inside this folder, there are some PDF files. This folder (GUI) is uploaded to the server too. Then I have a WebForm with some ImageButtons. When I click one of these ImageButtons, I want the file to open in a new tab. I tried with the following code:

As you can see, I build the path using the tooltips of the different ImageButtons. The ToolTip = File Name I want to open. When I try this in debug mode, it works. It opens the pdf file in a new tab. As indicated in the method decoration attributes, my Excel spreadsheet is on my local C:/ Drive. In it, the sheet where all of my data is located is named "Sheet1".I've copied the Excel spreadsheet into my project and I've set its Build Action = "Content" and I've set its Copy to Output Directory = "Copy if Newer".

whenever i m trying to upload more than one file i m getting this error "Cannot access a closed file. ". The file size is very small, the format is also .doc, .xls. The first file is uploaded correctly, no problem at all. The problem arise when system tries to write second file. Any ideas? On upload button event, I have taken all the files in httpfilecollection which i assign in session so that after attaching i can upload it later on save event. Problem occurs in save event that too on remote server. It's not happening on my local system.

I have a website on visual studio 2008 on my local machine. When I run through the debugger I get the following error, however when I browse the same website through the IIS manager (running IIS7.5), I can browse it. I have created an application which runs fine in VS2010.Now i am trying to host that application using inetmgr.When i try to browse the page from inetmgr content view then i get the "Parser Error Message: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified".If i browse the page from VS i am able to do it.I am not able to host the app. may be the reason is the above stated error.
