Does anyone know if it is possible to create a vertically scrollable Checkboxlist WITHOUT using a DIV
I have to build my controls using server code, hence cannot use a div.
I have an html table. I want to set table header as fixed and table body as scrollable.. How can i do this...?

First, I use vs 2010 and asp.net 4.0.
I have a page, there is a pre-created checkboxlist, for certain people it should be possible to add new checkboxes to the list.How should they do that? Here is what I have in mind.
Next to the checkboxlist there is a button (Add new items), when clicked a popup should be shown, there the name for a column (in a pre-created table MSSQL) can be entered (this column is only a text column), column is created and when clicked ok, the checkbox is added to the list (checkbox binded to the just created column).

I need a headstart, the usercontrols should have all the Even Handler implementation, setters and getters. Also,i will have a table which has the control properties(width, height, cssclass, etc) stored for that control. HOw to dynamically set the properties from the database to the usercontrol. This is required, because the requirement is for the Dynamic Form creation, I store all these ascx controls in the database and all the properties of the usercontrols in another table and map them dynamically.

View 1 RepliesI tried to have a grid with the fixed header. I implement this using the jquery plug "ScrollableGridPlugin.js" and the following script:

But the problem is that, when the grid is placed inside the "Update panel" and if some button action fired, the scrollable grid with the fixed header is changed to the normal grid.
I wonder how it can be possible to "Flip" an image vertically and set it to a control. The code compiles fine but no image is set to the control, setImage1b ?

I am porting an ASP.NET 2.0 project to VS 2010 and ASP.NET 4.0. I have the asp.menu set up to go horizontally across the top of my master page. This works pretty good, but I have a couple of pages that take a long time to load a lot of data (that is another issue though). The problem that I am having is that when these slow pages load the menu is initially vertical and then switches to horizontal. This looks so bad that I had initially thought that it was displaying my sitemap page. I just want it to draw properly (horizontal) to begin with.
Also, the content page has a script manager with CDNenable set to true.
The menu is defined as:

I wonder how it would be possible to vertically center this hyperlink in this panel? Is there a property in the panel for this somewhere?

I lost the links that someone posted me how to make the gridview to have scroll bars.
I restate my question:I have a gridview to show about 20 records. Now put the gridview into a <DIV>.
Would like to know how do I make it scrollable but keep the header stay in the same position?There is a header for columns in my gridview.
I'm also looking for scrollable Grid with freezed header, which is working in IE8. In above solution fixed column width is used. Is it possible to have a such grid where grid width is changing together with page width (when changed)?

View 3 RepliesThe menu control when used on the newly released VS2010 with ASP.Net version 4.0 renders vertically briefly, then renders horizontally. This causes a 1/2 second annoying flash of the menu in vertical form before it disappears and renders horizontally as intended. If you choose to render the menu as a table this problem doesn't happen, but if you choose to render the menu as a list (using <ul><li>) then if happens every time, but is hidden on development systems where response is quick enough such that the rendering vertically is not visible to the naked eye. How can I cause the rendering to be horizontal (without the brief vertical rendering)?

It works fine but upon rendering, it is a very long and skinny two columns which requires the user to scroll down a lot in their browser. I'd like it to be more user friendly and not require so much scrolling. tried to repeat it vertically by adding additional checkbox and databound column but just ended up with duplicate data, not continuing data from the bottom of databound column 1 to the top of databound column 2.Is there any way to repeat the columns vertically and have the data continue?
