I want to define a DataList in the code behind but i don't know how to do it.
I just just know how to do it in the ASP.NET:

When i am running my Visual Web Developper, the result is a list of x numbers of three values:
I must create a few DataLists programmatically. All of them will share the same ItemTemplate. Is it possible to define this ItemTemplate in .aspx file, using wizard etc, and then create DataList programmatically and assign this template? There is information in the internet how to define both ItemTemplate and DataList programmatically, but I want to define the ItemTemplate statically and only DataList programmatically and then assign the template to it.
The problem that I encounter is that ItemTemplate tag only works inside some control tag. It looks like it is impossible to define an ItemTemplate (like e.g. resource in Silverlight) not associated with any DataList, using the wizard and design tools, and then reference this template in code during runtime.
What I am looking for is to dynamically create two textboxes from the C# ASP.NET code (either normal textbox or html input text, I don't mind)And then I tried (and failed) to define an event that fires when the first textbox looses the focus, so, what is written in the first textbox should be copied to the second textbox.I tried to use onblur() event, Since the body of the function of onblur event should be written in javascript, so my two textboxes that I created in the C# ASP.NET file will not be known by javascript code
I was doing some web scraping and i was looking for some div elements with particular class names and markup. This is my objective , i have to extract everything within the div having the class s_specs_box s_box_4 Could someone provide the regular expression in .NET terms (i.e., which can be straight away passed into Regex's constructor)to match one such div (given below)

I want to move some parts of the html page containing this function to a new web user control. now "form1" is not defined and it is not working correctly without any error message!
I've got a label in the item template tag of the datalist control. The label is bound to an integer column in the data source.
What I want to achieve is to retrieve the number from that label and change its text according to what number is retrieved.
i.e. if number retrieved = 1 then
lbl.text = "SomeText"
My problem is that I don't know how to code that label as it is found in the <ItemTemplate> of the datalist and intellisense cannot identify the label.
Is it possible for me to code that label using code behind? or is there any other way to do this?
Works find on initial page load, but gives me "Object variable or With block variable not set." on this like "ColourHex = e.Item.DataItem("ColourHex")" on postback?
I have Table named PRODUCTS , that have 4 column productid, productprice,productname & discount( type numeric(18,0)) .. i am using datalist with itemtemplate that have 4 label to display all ..
I am binding datalist on pageload, now i want that Label4 with "discount" should only visible for those product that have discount , otherwise it remains hidden,
Problem in my code is that when i run it , label becomes invisible for all products whether they have discount or not. Here is my code i am using for it:

The Datalist is being databound via an ObjectDataSource and everything here works fine. I have a label which I've added to my datalist and it's unbound to anything. Depending on the message information, I want this unbound label to display a certain phrase but it has to be next to a bound label. But if I try to change the text of the label in the code-behind, VS2k8 reports that the label is not declared. How do I do this?
Am building a Form for out intranet that runs on ASP.NET and C#, it is to be a survey from a SQL database. I have the connections setup can pull informations/Questions from the database. I am having a problem with setting up radio buttons within a datalist, ive never done this and i know they require unque names.
It is to be 4 radio buttons per question where only one can be select, i know how to group just not via a datalist with unique names

I am trying to place a datalist inside datalist. I managed to place a datalist inside gridview but not datalist inside datalist.
Below is the code I am using to bind the datalist into the master gridview, I am trying to change this code in such way it will be right for datalist inside datalist but so far I did not succeed.
i have a datalist . that is contains 7 columns in repeat layout .when i have more from 7 columns , datalist style is normal .but when i have smaller than 7 columns ! data list style is not normal,
because there are some empty columns without specific schema.
How i can make a datalist > when i have 1 columns in my datalist my first layout width be 100% ;
