How can I get SiteMapPath1's Current Displaying Text ?
It renders to page display,the full path from root to current .I can see at page like this "HomePage>>Blah>>Blah" but I cannot get this text.
should I write a for loop to get parent node till to rootnode ? or is there an ready property that I can get this displayingtext value ?

Now i would like to represent the data in to the corresponding to text boxes when i open that text file.
I have a form where users enter information in a multi-line text box. This could be anything, such as bullets, carriage return line feeds, etc. Think of anything that you might copy and paste into a multi-line text box from Word Pad, or Word. I then store this information into a SQL Server NText field.When I retreive this information, I need to display it as the user entered it into the text box field into a Literal or Label control (or something else if there is a better alternative) to display it. Problem is that when I display this text into the Text
property of a Literal control everything is jumbled and all characters (bullets) are lost, no carriage returns, etc. One big mush of stuff. If I display this information in the Text property of Label control, I get the bullet characters, but no carriage returns
Why is it that when the src for an <img> is not found, asp.net raises a 404 error instead of displaying the "alt=" text from the <img>? How do I get it to display the alt = text?

Basically I have a form view table connected up to a SQLDataSourceControl and what I want displayed in the form is only data that has been assigned to the user that is logged on now. I have a "ViewAll" page, which lists EVERY field, regardless of who it is assigned to, but the "MyTasks" page should only retrieve the data of the current user.
I have two tables in my DB, the "Users" table, with user data (including an ID number) - this is used again in the "Tasks" table as a foreign key called "AssignTo". Therefore if user Joe Bloggs with ID number 5 logs on, whenever someone assigns a task to him, they will select number 5 in the "Task" table, as this relates to his User ID.
I want to fill in a text box with current date when the page is loading in the format of:
dd-MMM-YYYY
eg.
today is 11 October 2010
fill in as
11-OCT-2010
I would like to get first date of current month to bind the FromDate text box regardless the date may be 3,4,5.
View 1 RepliesI got one web page which is developed by using Asp.net. and in that page I have got one tab control which developed by using Ajax control toolkit (tab container). In that tab container i have got three tab pannels. In the first tab pannel have got two drop down list boxes and one image control box. wat I was trying to do is that by using calendar extender control in ajax control toolkit i was trying to display a day in the first drop down list box and month and year in second drop down list box. when user click on image control during run time a small calender will pops up and then user will select the propective date according to there choice and when they have finish selecting the date from the calender a day will display on first drop down list box and month and year will display on second drop down list box.
I was keep trying to do that but i was failed. then i took one test box from the toolbox and i was got success in displaying the user selected date in the text box by using ajax calender extender. How to display that date instead of one textbox into two separate drop down list boxes from which a user can select manual date from drop down list as well and from the calendar as well also when the page loads, the two drop down list boxes must show current date ( by default)

View 4 RepliesI'm very new to ASP.NET, how would it be possible to have a complete form with, let's say, 10 text boxes. Once the page is displayed, the user would only see the first textbox. After the user has input data into that box, the second textbox would appear. After data is input into the second textbox, the third textbox would appear and so on. I know it probably has something to do with Postback but I cannot find anything on this scenario.

This would all go in a box or table, the bold text is the column names from the table, but id be quite Happy to just have them as text and not display the coloumn headers. whats the best control to display data in this way, ive messing about with different controls but cant get this layout
i use asp.net and c# to build my web application.i'm trying to display message dynamically using ModalPopup extender.I add the event inside a loop and the message is selected according to my logic.My issue is that the label stays empty, it seems that the set does not take effect, so the popup comes up empty.

I have a section of a page with a repeater control on it, taking information from a database, to display the latest information available to users. However it would be preferable to be able to format this information, so that it can have line returns, bold and underline in it. Rather than just single line plain text.

Is it possible in VB.NET to change defaults settings on a page? For example I have..

This is my code on the page load, now I want to give the user the ability to change that to whatever they want after clicking a button. So someone types "Hello!" and presses the button, how can I make it save the file with "Hello!" instead of "Hello World!" so that everyone else who comes after that user will see "Hello!" and not "Hello World!"? View 1 RepliesI have gone through my DB and code so far, I have hit a problem. For a particular enrty in my DB I pick up descriptions and tags (both are strings)for japanese language. Now, in a ASP.NET page,the description is shown fine but the tags which are japanese as well, are replaced with ? marks, what am I doing wrong here? The same page displays description fine but within a <div>, tags are replaced by ? marks. The code is as follows
