I have a textbox in asp page wherein it should take multiple values separated by comma's to select command as input. The same I have done using C# page, but now trying to have the entire query in aspx page itself.

Is it possible to have multiple conditions in an SQL select command. I have an SQL Table with the follwing filds.
Image1
Image1Approved
Image2
Image2Approved
Etc
Image1 is a varchar(50) and stroes the picture name. Image1Approved is a tinyint (0 = Pending, 1 = Declined & 2 = Approved) I am using the following to query the SQL database.
SelectCommand="SELECT Image1, Image1Approved, Image2, Image2Approved, Image3, Image3Approved FROM UserProfiles WHERE (UserId = @UserId)"
The part that I am stuck on is only returning the images that have there associated approved condition set. I know how to do this with a seperate select command for each image but can this be done for all image files in one statement.

I have a textbox that I want the user to enter an integer in.1) I have created a required field validator, to ensure it is not left blank.2) A compare validator, to ensure the value entered is an integer using datatypecheck.3) A range validator to limit the range of the entered integer.If a letter is entered, instead of an integer, errors from both 2) and 3) are displayed.Is there a way to only show the error from 2) if a letter is entered and 3) if the integer is out of range - rather than both?

I have 3 tables as follows:
1 - Members containing the following fields:
MemberID int
MemberName
2 - Companies containing the following:
CompanyID int
CompanyName
CompanyType (S=Supplier, R=Retailer, C=Competitor)
3 - Member_Company_Link containing the following:
MemberID int
CompanyID int
The Company table contains any Company with a potential relationship to a "Member". For example:
Companyabc = C (Competitor)
Companyxyz = S (Supplier)
When a new Member record is entered, the user selects from two dropdowns: CompanyType (Supplier, Retailer,Competitor); and CompanyName. The CompanyName dropdown is populated depending on the value selected for CompanyType so if the user selects "Supplier" for CompanyType then only those Companies with a CompanyType of "S" for Supplier will be listed in the CompanyName dropdown.
The use can enter up to 10 CompanyType/CompanyName combinations. When the record is saved, these CompanyType/CompanyName combinations are saved in the Member_Company_Link table. One record for each CompanyType/CompanyName combination is entered in the table.
The problem I'm having is in the retrieval process. I have a "search" screen in which users can select certain criteria to list Members by and one of them is CompanyName. For example they want to see all Member records with "company xyz" as a Supplier and/or "companyabc" as a Competitor. Because each Member can have multiple Supplier and/or Comptitor records I can't figure out how to loop through them to match on the value entered by the user. If Member1 has 5 corresponding records in theMember_Company_Link file and 4 of them contain Companies that are Competitors (Competitor1, Competitor2, Competitor3 and Competitor4) and the search criteria is to find records containing "Competitor3" how can I loop through the values in the Member_Company_Link file for each MemberID to see if there is a match for "Competitor3"?
I know this post is too long and most of you will have ignored it by now but I'm hoping someone will have a clue because I've already spent more than a day trying to figure it out. It seems I have to store multiple values in an array but I have no clue how to do this.

I have gridview. some columns are data, and some are link buttons. now, I need move these link buttons to a hovermenu. this is done. but I got a javascript exception, and it is because if there is no row was selected in gridview, it will pop this.
so, the question is: how can I select a row in gridview without select command? simply by code?

i'm trying to issue a select command in my app soi could execute the command and retrive the data into a string variable.the problem is that this command is overloaded with DataSourceSelectArgument and i can't figure out what it is.i'm using sql server express and when issue a n insert command for example sq.Insert(); i have no problems.this the command that's holding me:

I've recently started working in ASP.NET and RDBMS.I'm making a test form where I can do basic add,update,delete operations.I'm using OracleDataClient to do the DB operations.I was able to populate a listbox using OracleDataAdapter.
Now after clicking on update button,I intend to Update in DB.I've Dataadapter with it's update property.But the update query is not happening.The examples I saw over net all have Select command before Update.Is it actually like that or am I missing some point.
How does Oracle DataClient work with Insert,Update,Delete Commands.

When I want to get the output values its okay but I also want returning a table as a result data.But Datareader has no rows.is it possible if I want a returning query result and multiple output values togather ?I wrote a test above.I can get output values as sqlparameters. But Datareader attached to a Gridview is empty.can you detect whats wrong here and it doesnt return a query result.So stored procedure is not standart or ı am doing something wrong.this doesnt raise any exception.but not returning any data.

i used the following technique to Select multiple items from DropDownList into TextBox with No duplicates, however i dont think it is the most proper way, any ideas. pressing again with same value selected choose another value from DDL and press button

So far i've populated my grid view with my roomID. however using data reader I don't seem to be able to get more than one column to auto generate even though i'm now looking for three values : SELECT tt_roomEquip.roomID, tt_room.roomCapacity, tt_equip.equipTitle is my select bit of the sql, though it's only putting roomID into my grid view.

I'm trying to update a db record via a business object, based on a users input.
In my button event handler, I check for a null or empty value like this before I set the object properties:

But if the textbox is empty, I get the "System.FormatException:
Input string was not in a correct format." in the line:

How can this be?

Since I'm new to coding and I'm trying to understand why here is a little more detail on the question.If you have a text box and you are limiting the input to say 2 charactrs do you really need to validate the input further? What I have is a text box that has a max length of 2. Is there a security reason to add a validator to the textbox. I should add this is in Asp.net.

I am using a gridview in (Visual Studio 2010) to display records from a SQL 2005 database. I can filter my date range successfully but it does not include the end date. I have tried using the between expression as well as >= <= to return the dates from the beginning and end dates. I have search and found that this is due to the time portion of my datstamp in the SQL column (02/19/11 01:03:36 PM) where I am filtering by short date (02/19/11); therefore leaving the end date out of the records returned.
Now the solution I have read is to add a day onto the endate like this: 02/19/11 + 1 but I get a conversion error returned from the SQL server. I have tried to use convert in this matter to convert the textbox.text in the selectcommand to datetime 101 formats to overcome this but I must still be missing something because it comes back with another SQL error unable to convert nvchar to datetime.
In the end I would like to have my two textboxes StartDate - EndDate filter the dateStamp column in my Transactions table and if both textboxes have the same date return records for that date only and include the EndDate if the range is more than one day.
I have tried many different variations of the below code using $,#,+ and & symbols to encapsulate the EndDate controlparameter to add a day to the EndDate and have failed at all attempts.
This my markup that filters fine excluding the EndDate;

I have an inventory page with a gridview that shows 1 item per record, each item starts with a checkbox in the gridview. Currently users can select multiple records and hit the order button and everything has worked well. Now I have multiple pages in my gridview, and if a user selects a few records from the first page, and then goes to the second page, all the records (checked checkboxes) disappear from the first page.
