I want to open a smaller internet window to show some data that is to large to go in the calendar control. I found the code below, but it says the following error:It puts a blue line under the last part: </script>" and says the error below. What am I doing wrong and is there any other way to accomplish this task?

I have a webpage that I would like to add a onclick event, that when a "add" button is clicked, a new, but small window pops open. In that window will be a few text fields. And when the user clicks save, the data entered in the text fields will be inserted into my database, the popup window will close, and the original page will post back to reflect the newly entered data. I know I'm not the first to want something like this, but I can't think how to do this. Is this part of the Ajax Control Toolkit?

Basically a Master-Details type of view, but in a new window instead of the same window.
I have a requirement to open a new window from Internet Explorer, but the new window should be in new asp.net session. It should not share the same session of previous opened window or the parent window. How can it be possible? Any thoughts? I'm using window.open('mywindow.aspx') from parent page javascript to open new windows.

Situation:The user is logged onto their computer with something like Domain1John and is running Internet Explorer 7 as Domain2Mike using the "Run As" option.
Domain1 is the user's local domain. He is accessing the application over the Internet using the Domain2Mike credentials where Domain2 is the domain that IIS knows about.
I'm opening a new browser page with Javascript, and the window contains a PDF report; the problem is that it is not showing correctly. It shows a gray screen, without even the Adobe reader toolbar.
On the other hand, when IE is run as Domain1John everything works nicely.I think it has something with the local computer rights. I added Domain2Mike to the Administrator group on the local computer, but it still fails to open the new page correctly.

View 3 RepliesHere is the general idea of what I am trying to accomplish.Upon page load of the aspx, I am dynamically creating a table (that is populated by database information), one of the columns in the table will display a "NotePad" image. When selecting this image, I need it to make a borderless small window pop up with a blank text box inside of it. The user will be writing notes and information in this text box and then selecting a close window button below it to return to the main page. I need to make this as seamless and fluid as possible, so much so that the pop up needs to look like it was still part of the main page when launched. I also will need to require that the user must close the pop up window before returning to the main screen as well.
Using VB.NET, Is there any way to create a pop up window when a specific cell is clicked on (On Click event) , that will display a small (set size) pop up window with it's border but no titlebar, status, menu, etc. That requires the user to click the close button (provided below the textbar) to return to the main screen?I have found numerous posts on pop-ups, title bars, etc, but none have been much help when I try to put it all together.
