I have a .aspx page (it is a content form). When I click on a button on that page, I want to invoke another .aspx page in a small window. I want to display a grid in that small .aspx page.
View 4 RepliesHere is the general idea of what I am trying to accomplish.Upon page load of the aspx, I am dynamically creating a table (that is populated by database information), one of the columns in the table will display a "NotePad" image. When selecting this image, I need it to make a borderless small window pop up with a blank text box inside of it. The user will be writing notes and information in this text box and then selecting a close window button below it to return to the main page. I need to make this as seamless and fluid as possible, so much so that the pop up needs to look like it was still part of the main page when launched. I also will need to require that the user must close the pop up window before returning to the main screen as well.
Using VB.NET, Is there any way to create a pop up window when a specific cell is clicked on (On Click event) , that will display a small (set size) pop up window with it's border but no titlebar, status, menu, etc. That requires the user to click the close button (provided below the textbar) to return to the main screen?I have found numerous posts on pop-ups, title bars, etc, but none have been much help when I try to put it all together.
I want to open a smaller internet window to show some data that is to large to go in the calendar control. I found the code below, but it says the following error:It puts a blue line under the last part: </script>" and says the error below. What am I doing wrong and is there any other way to accomplish this task?

I have a webpage that I would like to add a onclick event, that when a "add" button is clicked, a new, but small window pops open. In that window will be a few text fields. And when the user clicks save, the data entered in the text fields will be inserted into my database, the popup window will close, and the original page will post back to reflect the newly entered data. I know I'm not the first to want something like this, but I can't think how to do this. Is this part of the Ajax Control Toolkit?

i have a need to display the each row in a separate page,
example: if a Grid view contains the 10 rows,each row should be displayed in one page(only that row only),when ever second row comes, first row should be removed from grid and second row should be displayed as a whole in that, like wise..when ever 3rd row comes 2nd should be erased and 3rd will come into Grid view.

I want to display these results on a web page via the grid view. However, I don't want to show the user 6 times! I want to show the user name once, the contract type once and each Job! What is the best way to do this? Is there a fault with the database design already? I assume the easiest answer is to not join them in a view but query each section 3 times from the website but I'd rather 1 connection only!
Currently i'm saving pictures to our sql server db. A user can go to a clients info page and click an id card image to open a new tab or window and see the picture saved for that client.
What I would like to do is when a client info page opens a small version (thumnail) of the picture to display and let the user click the thumbnail to open a bigger icture in a popup window.
I am working on VS 2008 ,asp.net 3.5. In my project on image button click Pop Up Window is open(not ajax Model Pop up Extender), when I click on save it saves value and on Page Load of Parent Page in Dataset Updated value is shown but it is not bind with Grid view .
I try it by giving Post back Trigger to grid, but it gives me error.

I am hoping someone has experience with this, but I am loading a window from a link on my main page. The window loads an ASPX page via the window's loadmethod of iFrame. The aspx page has its own update panel on it and I was wondering how I can call the window's "spinner" / process indicator while the page is processing. I have looked at the documentation on some online information about it but I am not sure how to implement it.

I can insert the little one content to the big one, but it means some info I don't need to update with Ajax at all will be init two, because of UI issues. What is better for performance? One big UpdatePanel or a small ones?

The Add template is located outside the grid view and if user clicks on the button, it will load the grid view that is populated with data as there is a row of empty fields at the bottom. However when I click on the Add Template button, the grid view does not appear.

I had developed mobile web page in asp.net 2.0. This page is displaying with small font in safari on ipod touch and in iphone. for this i had copied iphone.browser definition file in

View 2 RepliesIn a ASP.NET application I have a paging RadGrid which shows up textbox in each row. Outside the grid, there is an OK button to save the content of all the textbox. If user changes text in any one or more of the textbox and without clicking on the "OK" button, tries to move to a different page number (of the grid by clicking on the page number), he should be prompted for confirmation of save or cancel the changes.
I am guessing that one can write a Javascript function which would look for any form input control (textbox in my case) and detect changes and If there are changes, would prompt the user. However, I am not sure where I can call this function from?
I am using RadGrid but I guess this should be applicable to GridView as well.
