I have a text file named gisQuery129.json that is created using Json.NET - [URL] There is an example on how to create a JSON file and I have done that successfully, but I want to read the file on a page load event and add the values to .NET textbox controls for input values in a query. The created file looks like the following:
{ "myData": { "randomNumber": "129", "Application": "MyMapApp", "FeatureId": "ALL", "Feature": "ALL", "spatialQuery": "FEATURE_ID= '11111' AND REQ_SEQ_NUM= 1 AND RAND_PARAM= 129 OR FEATURE_ID= '22222' AND REQ_SEQ_NUM= 2 AND RAND_PARAM= 129" } }
I want to read the data in the above sample JSON data and then populate my textboxes something like this:
txtRandParam.text = "129" txtApplication.text = "MyMapApp" and three more text boxes after that.
I'd like to read data server-side from a web service that outputs in json format. I haven't found any good examples that don't use jquery and are server-side.
Specifically I'm looking at the "weight" field from this api:
I have read about desearlizing a json file into class fields which I understand. But what I cannot find in a tutorial is how to read in the json data. Everyone just adds the data to a variable and uses it. I will be passing in a json file from a mobile app. I know I should use a web service but for now I want to use an asp.net ASPX page to do this. I will be using the newtonking json control.
have this site that has an api that can provide city name if I send my zip code as a parameter. http://www.postnummersok.se/api?q=16447the result is returned as a json object. Now i just want to read the result in my js function.I have tried the following but it always returns null:
I use the JavaScriptSerializer class of ASP.net to serialize my object and return it to the client side. How can I deserialize the string using JavaScript?
I've been tasked with implementing a JSON feed on an asp.net website that will be consumed by 3rd party apps (such as IPhone, Android, etc) and I'd like to follow best practices.
An example of what I'd like to achieve would be something similar to: [URL]
I've chosen the JSON.net api as this seems to be highly recommended.
My Google-fu must be failing me as I can't find a single full example code for an Asp.net web application with JSON.net implemented on it, so I've no real concept of where to begin.
My question is fairly simple:
Should I create this sort of feed as an ASPX, or ASHX file? Or even a .NET Web Service? (Remember that the tools that will be using this feed are on external apps like IPhones, etc)
I created a test feed in both ASHX and ASPX format ... here is the code (I'm using Subsonic to populate the collection) ... are either of these along the correct lines?
I have an Infragistics WebDataGrid on a user control. I add that user control programmatically to an UpdatePanel on a Content Form. Everything works great. I get data in the grid just fine. However, when I go to click any of the grid functions (Sort, Filter, Page, etc.) it throws a Sys.ArgumentException in one of the ScriptResource.axd dynamic files.
Here is the error:
"Microsoft JScript runtime error: Sys.ArgumentException: Cannot deserialize. The data does not correspond to valid JSON. Parameter name: data"
It stops in the following function:
[Code]....
I read about other people having this issue and they said it was due to dates or due to double quotes ("") being in strings? I am binding this datagrid to an Entity Data Framework object query like this.
I am displaying selectable rows in a gridview. The selected row uses a stored procedure to display all the fields in a formview when the Select button is clicked.
Only a small subset of the fields in the selected row are editable. When I click the Edit button only the EditItemTemplate fields show up, the read-only fields from the ItemTemplate disappear. I want the read-only rows to remain visible with the editable rows.
If I include the read-only fields in the EditItemTemplate, I get an error when I click Update on the FormView. The error states that there are too many parameters being passed to the stored procedure to update fields. How can I continue to show the read-only fields with the editable fields on the FormView and avoid getting the input parameter error on the stored procedure for the Update command?
I am reading data from Excel file using oledbdataadapter and binding to gridview.Every thing working fine.but if the cell is having some text along with bar sysmol ( | ) [Ex : 12345 | 789123] that cell data is not reading from excel file. All fileds in excel sheet is text format only. Some times it's reading correctly & some times it not reading(empty). Is there any problem with bar symbol ( | )
How to read this file and bind data to gridview control.
Right now i am using the following code but it stores whole data in a single column and a single row but i need it in four columns named NC, WC, PRC,ETAC and it's values in respected columns.
how to get data in four columns in Gridview as a tabular format. I am using technologies Visual Studio 2005, ASP.NET 2.0,C#.NET 2.0 and Windows Xp Operating system.
I have a database containing a table with about 700,000 images so I recently enabled Filestream. However, I can't figure out how to render the images.
I have an Imagefield control within a Detailsview which is using an .aspx file to render the image through the DataImageUrlFormatString (which is typical). In my select statements I tried changing the binary field containing the image from objectdata to objectdata.PathName() per the Microsoft documentation but this does not work. I get the red X image box.
I have a ListView which is filled by generic list of type MyClass. I can easily bind data from this list into ListView. But I have problems with reading data in opposite direction. This is my class:
[Code]....
I have also generic list of type MyClass:
[Code]....
Finally I bind data to ListView this way:
[Code]....
My ListView template:
[Code]....
How can I read data from ListView into my List list?
The operation of reading ListView data into List generic list should begin after clicking the button "GetData".
I saw the following advice:
[Code]....
but it does not work - the DataItem property of each Item of ListView has null value. The point is that I have generic list with data. I am binding this data into ListView which can be edited by user. After that after click Save or GetData data from ListView is read into generic list of MyClass type.
If I have in my db a table called User with name, Id, age fields and I want to get these data and put it in a var as a JSON serialize, then I want to send it to javascript page to reform it as I want . I need to know how to put these data in a var as a JSON, how to read the data in the javascript file (how to deal with each one. for example : array[name]?
which thing is more better to deal with these data in asp.net code then send it in the javascript or to send it to the javascript and then to deal with ?
I have an object datasource which is using Business object as a myconnection
The method i have defined under myconnection is
Publicstatic DataTable getfn(String dtype, String did, String dprefix, String dname) { datable table = new datatable(); then declared stored proceedure and defined parameters and assighned values
In the stored proceedure it has a query like select column1,coloumn2,coloumn3 As Call from table where I need to take data from Call and display it to the gridview through object datasource .
I want to read the data from the grid view(Default1.aspx) for a particular row. How do I achieve this?
After that I want to redirect to another page(Default2.aspx) and display the data for that row in different controls of another page(Default2.aspx). how do I achieve this?
