I have a ListView which is filled by generic list of type MyClass. I can easily bind data from this list into ListView. But I have problems with reading data in opposite direction. This is my class:

I have also generic list of type MyClass:

Finally I bind data to ListView this way:

How can I read data from ListView into my List list?
The operation of reading ListView data into List generic list should begin after clicking the button "GetData".
I saw the following advice:

but it does not work - the DataItem property of each Item of ListView has null value. The point is that I have generic list with data. I am binding this data into ListView which can be edited by user. After that after click Save or GetData data from ListView is read into generic list of MyClass type.

I have ListView control on my page, and i bound it to Dictionary<string,DataTable> generic.Now i'm trying to put DataPager on my page to support paging, but DataPager doesn't work properly, in particular, I have to click twice to move to next page, or first few records repeating thru every page. What's the problem, what am I doing wrong? I used ListView control before with ObjectDataSource and it worked just fine. Now I'm using Entity Framework to retrieve data frm Db.

I have a problem i just cant get around...I'm trying to sort the contents of a gridview that gets filled from a List<T>.
(working in DAL, BLL & Presentation layers).

I have a generic list of a custom type. The custom type has a string and double.I'm binding the list to a gridview and it outputs everything fine.I'm trying to format the double column into a currency format. It is in a template field as I'm calculating a running total. I pass the value to a function that returns a double and adds the current value to a running total which I will show in the footer.
The format is not changing to currency as expected when using String.Format("{0:c}", GetTotal(Convert.ToDouble(Eval("Amount"))))

i want to check my collection so i can add a new customer as long as the username does not exist in the collection i do not want 2 customers to be able to have the same username.
i have been trying many different things to try to get this to work but i am not exactly sure what i should be doing I have a aspforum and collection C# class of the list.

I have a ListView that contains a lot of editable items. Every item has some values, like; item name, item price, item size and so forth. I would like to add another editable column which should be a drop down list. This should list which sizes the item is available at, like S, M, L, XL. Some item are only available in S and M, while other items may just have a standard size (meaning none of the above sizes). So for example if you are to add an item called polo shirt and its only available in sizes L and XL then you should be able to do that. And then at the front-end where the users surf the items it should be like that when a users sees this Polo shirt he should be presented with a drop down list where he is only able to select L and XL
I can't figure out how to implement this in the Listview and the database. I have mentioned that I want a drop down list to appear in the back-end, this is not a necessity, anything will do as long as the front-end is showing a drop down list with the choosen sizes.

I have two listviews. The inner listview (InnerListView1) is in the SelecttItemTemplate of the outer listview (OuterListView1). Both listviews are bind in the code behind. The outer listview displays correctly in the ItemTemplate. Neither Listview Listview displays in the SelectItemTemplate. Both should display when I click the Select button. I just get a postback (flicker). The display should include the selected record of the outer listview and the inner listview.

I have a ListView that populates and displays a user's data (via a profile system in VWD 2008) during Page_Load and also when I go from the EditItemTemplate to the ItemTemplate. Then when I go to the edit screen again, my DropDownList and RadioButtonList controls display the first items in the corresponding tables instead of the correct profile values. I don't understand why the controls populate correctly the first and second times but not on the third time (that's right, the third time is NOT a charm).

I have a list box in a list view control. I want to access the value of the listbox. I have fixed the height of the list box and the box has scroll bars. If i change the number using the scrollbar and then click on the number (turning it blue) everthing works fine. If I simply change the number using the scrollbar the system throws the error below. Can anyone tell me how to get this to work simply by using the scrollbar to select the number (without having to also click on the number itself) This is the error that is thrown

I have a listview that is displaying records currently based on a dropdown.. works great.. now, within those results returned, i would like to filter down some more.. How can i add a dropdownlist to the page that is populated with data from the listview(only 1 field would be used to create the list ) and if you chose to filter by that drop down, then the listview is revised to display only records with the selected value.
Example..
Currently you pick from a drop down.. Report#1, Report#2 or Report#3 Say report#1 returns 100 records.. and the field im going to be filtering on is my "Vendor" field.. so once my listview displays my results, a dropdownlist is populated with all the vendors that were returned with the query.. could just be a few..
Now you are sitting there paging thru all the records.. and realize you really just need to see out of the 100 records, records that belong to Vendor#3, so you pick #3 from the drop downlist and the procedure is called again now filtering on that vendor..
