I have enabled trace in web.config which shows any error occur in my application on production by accessing trace.axd page. It shows very useful information.
My question is where trace.axd page retreive data so I can use some of the information on my gridview to organize it.

I have a remoting-type set up within my application where I avoid TargetInvocationExceptions and grab the inner exception. I invoke the internal PrepForRemoting method on the Exception class to preserve the stack trace from the invoked method.

Calling Server.GetLastError(); on Application_Error in Global.asax shows the correct stack trace. Where is the yellow screen stack trace coming from?

is it happening in the Repeater1_ItemDataBound sub routine, or in the Timer1_Tick sub routine? Is the last thing that happened before the error occured at the top or bottom of the trace?
i have published asp.net mvc application on iis 6 on the server(windows server 2003) from local machine. On server i have set the default page to default.aspx. but when i try to browse the site on server, it gives me exception "The incoming request does not match any route" One thing i noticed is that. Stack trace on line 5 is shown below. it has one weird thing that exception is still pointing to my local machine path

For this I tried to add a textwritertracelistener object to Trace.Listeners.Add but I can't see Listeners Class in Trace.ie When I put Trace. the Listeners class is not popup. Also I am unable to add System.Diagnostics.TraceListener namespace to the page.

I'm attempting to deploy my new MVC 2 app to a windows server 2003 box (IIS6). The app is on it's own web site, scripts and executable rights given, asp.net version set at 4.0.30319. ASP.NET MVC was installed via the web platform installer and server was since rebooted.
I've used this technique in the global.asax to put ".aspx" in the URLs:

No matter what i do I still get an error on Browse: "This Program cannot display the webpage." Times out in Firefox. This is constant if i do wildcard or .mvc mapping, suggesting it is an IIS problem.
Nothing in the event viewer that displays any info or any error.
Is there anything extra special that needs to be done to get IIS to recognize MVC?
I've been searching for some way to open a pdf file on a web browser control and then read the content as text to search for a particular string. So far, I found out that I can display the pdf file on the browser quite easily but I have not been able to read the content from code.

I have a VS2010 project that I want to move back and forth between an x86 and an x64 machine. On the x86 machine, several assemblies are located in Program Files, and the path of the assemblies are shown as c:Program Files...... When I move this project to the x64 machine, the same assemblies are located in C:Program Files (x86).... Is there a way that I can confugure VS2010 so I don't have to manually change the path when I move the project from one machine to another?

I am developing an application to allow parents to book appointments to meet the child's teachers.
It is compulsory for parents to meet child's mentors, hence Appointments to meet class mentors are already pre-booked in the Appointments table.
Parents could still book appointments to meet other subject teachers. I have a column in my gridview to show parents the list of booked appointments. Parents are allowed to change the Appointment timeslot for an appointment they booked and are not allowed to change appointment time for pre-booked appointments.
Under the Remarks colum, it is stated that the following appointment is pre-booked by class mentor.
How do I make only those pre-booked rows read only since all the appointments belonging to a parent is under one GridView.
I found an example, but this is to only make the 1st 3 rows read-only and I don't think this is in VB coding. I'm usingASP.NET VB coding.
