Is it possible to have it in asp.net.?

Mar 27, 2010I'm developing a website for a company. They want the website to be in Arabic. So, a lot of things need to inverted in a classical website. The menu control has arrows indicative of child items. Now, I know that the menu control renders as a table. Also, I know I could change the shape and look of the arrows with a custom image by modifying StaticPopUpImageUrl & DynamicPopUpImageUrl properties.
What I need is to make the arrows appear left of the menu entry. I tried wrapping the menu control in a div with the attribute dir set to "rtl", but it didn't work. So, what could I do to fix this? Also, if I couldn't do that in the menu control and needed to create my own menu control. Are repeaters practical?

Apr 2, 2010I saw a horizontal menu bar on CNN that used scolling images. The bar had arrows on eithe end to scroll the imagessmoothly to the left or right. Additionally clicking on one of the images filled a dsiplay area below the bar with information relatinh to the image. I prefer CSS only but if I must use JScript then I will.
I haven't been able to find any code to do this and don't have the knowledge yet to write it myself. I saw one site that said I could get code similiar to what I need but then it never gave a link to download it. My boss wants it on our web page if I can make it happen.

Sep 27, 2010I have a datagrid that has photos and a description of the individual in the photo. I have a procedure that works and if I execute it with the correct parameters it changes the rows in the table. I have a datagrid with two image buttons, MoveUp and MoveDown. I just want to be able to reorder the photos when needed.
In my proc called "MoveMember" I have these parameters that are passed in. The column that gets swapped in my table is the "OrderBy" column, they are just numeric numbers 1,2,3,4 etc.
So in my procedure 2 and 3 can be interchanged.

May 23, 2010I have an .aspx Page with dropDownList, where you can choose State. The list contains 50 States. Then I have a GridView displaying all the stores of this particular state, which is dependent on dropDownList through the SQL Data Sources WHERE clause.
But the problem is, every time I change the State in the dropDownList and subsequently refreshing GridView - the page URL stays the same dealers.aspx.
I don't want to create 50 pages for 50 States, but now I need to have 50 different URL's. Is there a way to change URL's dynamically, based on dropDownList choice? And so people can get directly to URL of choice. For example dealers.aspx/California.

Sep 29, 2010I've got two DropDownLists that are filled using a couple of SqlDataSources, like so:

The third DataSource, dsCriterias, is used to present a set of dynamically added DropDownLists depening on what's selected in the second DropDownList, subcategories. The set of dynamic DropDownLists are presented using this code:

The code works but there's little thing that's bugging me. When the page is first loaded the criterias belonging to the subcategory is not presented. I expect it to show the criterias but ther won't show until I make a choice in the categories-DropDownList meaning if I wan't the first subcategories criterias I have to choose different subcategory and then go back to the first one. It's a bit hard to explain.
An example: When the page is first loaded I get a category presented, eg. Vehicles. In the subcategories I get the alternatives "Bicycles", "Cars" and "Motorcycles". "Bicycles" will be the one presented when the page loads since the stored procedure used by dsSubcategories sorts the data by the subcategory names. The problem is that I don't get the criterias for the "Bicycles" subcategory at page load. To get them I first need to select "Cars" or "Motorcycles" and then choose "Bicycles".
I've tried putting a subcategories.SelectedIndex = 0 in in the OnLoad but nothing seems to do the trick.

Mar 12, 2010Basically I have a dropdownlist (ddlSystem) and an AJAX update panel. Inside the update panel I have an asp:GridView (gvSystemSpecs) and an asp:Image (imgLoad).
For triggers on the update panel I have:

When the user changes ddlSystem it makes a service call to pull back a bunch of data and populate the gridview.
I want to be able to show a loading image (imgLoad) when ddlSystem is changed. Once the function to pull data and populate the gridview is complete I need to hide the loading image.
I think I'll need to use some JavaScript, but what ever I try doesn't work and I don't know if the update panel has anything to do with it...

I have a class which has a value named "position", the class is displayed inside the GridView and is ordered by position.
