View 1 RepliesIt looks like WebControls do not work correctly in Google Chrome. I've researched this issue and found solution here but it does not work in my case. Maybe because our server is on .NET 4. Does anybody know how to make WebControls work in Chrome/Safari? Unfortunately changing WebControls to something else currently is not an option so I must find a work-around.
View 2 RepliesI have an application uploaded on a server which only supports Microsoft Report Viewer 8. my Application has been written with .Net framework 3.5. The Question is :
Is there a way for me to generate my reports using Microsoft Report Viewer 8 with my current application being with framework 3.5?
i downloaded Microsoft Report Viewer 2010 Redistributable Package and used in asp.net page and it works fine without post back all the page BUT, when i created costume web part including report viewer , default page shows javascript error and the report papers as disabled , and when i click viwer the whole page getting post back
View 2 RepliesHave some reports that currently generate Html and function well across Chrome, IE(s), and Firefox.Need to generate PDFs and export to excel so Report viewer looked an easy choice to start.First report went easy and works fine with IE(s) and Firefox but for Chrome I am getting a a scrunchedup narrow, left aligned menu and table with no paging and basically a mess and unusable.I do not want to turn off Chrome and am at a loss as to how to proceed.
View 2 RepliesI apply rss in my website, it is looking fine in firefox but not in chrome. It look like xml in chrome...
View 1 RepliesI am using report server 2008 and i have a background image on the report which is made hidden based on condition. When ever image is hidden, report in the report viewer is fine. But if the image is visible, background image it self is taking the 1st page and the data that should be on the image is going to second page. This is repeatble only for Reprt server 2008 and not for 2005.
View 4 RepliesI was hoping someone could shine some light on this subject. I am wondering if the Microsoft Report Viewer could show a full listing of all the records/rows displayed in addition to it's default pagination viewing. I am using MS VS 2008 with ASP.NET 3.0.
View 1 RepliesI need to create a template for a Report to show the appointment letter. When teachers are approved student choices, It will auto generate a report gathering all the necessary information.
I know how to create a basic report using the ms report wizard but what if I want to redesign it, because I want each page per students.
I'm having a problem with Microsoft Report Viewer reports in local mode...
A little background info:
I have a flat data file which I load into memory (split into fields in a dataset) and need displayed in a report. The data structure of this file is hierarchical with about 4 levels: File, Batch, Entry, and AdditionalInfo. The amount and names of the fields in the Entry records change depending on a field in their parent's Batch record (lets call this field BatchType). So while I'm reading Batches i need to look at this BatchType field to know how to read/display the child Entries.
Problem:
Since my Entry sections in my report will be different depending on the BatchType field in the Batch record, I researched a bit and found out that the only way to do this was to do subreports. I figured I'd have to have a different subreport for each Entry type. However, I've been unable to find a way to change the ReportName parameter in the subreport object during runtime. I dont even know if it's possible to change a subreport's ReportName on the fly.
We use grouping to display master-detail report. If there are only nulls in a corresponding part of a report data source flat table, how can I not show empty records?
View 1 RepliesI am wondering if the Microsoft Report Viewer control allows for display changes. Say for instance a user wants would like to see all the data requested then another time would like to toggle thru the pages of infomation. So does anyone know if the control allows for display changes from complete view to paginated viewing. I am using MS VS 2008 with ASP.NET 3.0.
View 6 RepliesI am trying to create a rdlc report.
View 2 RepliesCurrently, I need to use this Microsoft Report Viewer to create several reports.
The problem I'm having is that within the Microsoft Report Viewer, there are 2 functions. The 2 functions are the print function and also the export function.
I'm connected to the local host only for this project.
I have an application including an Asp:menu. This renders perfectly in both IE and Firefox, see screenshot gf1.jpg.
Running in Chrome the rendering is bad. There is added wide space in the top menu, so the area is much wider, and thereby not correct. See gf2.jpg.
I have tried using this workaround found by surfing, but it is still the same. Can I add some additional code, that will prevent this?
Code:
If Request.UserAgent.IndexOf("Chrome") > 0 Then
If Request.Browser.Adapters.Count > 0 Then
Request.Browser.Adapters.Clear()
Response.Redirect(Page.Request.Url.AbsoluteUri)
End If
End If
I want it to be displayed equally in IE, Firefox and Chrome....

That's my C# code but i the "ReportViewer1.LocalReport.Render("PDF", null, out mimeType, out encoding, out filenameExtension, out streamids, out warnings);" came in error everytime i try to generate the report. Can you show me the way so i can view the pdf from the browser or save the pdf from the browser?

I used javascript code to open popup window.Popup window "Maximize" button is in
disable state.But in Chrome it is in enable state.I want to make browser maximize button disable.
Below is my javascript code
function Call_PopUp(event, URL) {
window.open(URL, 'CustomPopUp', 'width=990, height=540, menubar=no,scrollbars =yes, resizable=no, top=50,left=50,toolbar=no,dialog=yes,minimizable=yes,maximizable=no');
}
I am testing my website in numerous browers and have discovered (amazingly) that the asp:menu
control does not render properly in both the above browsers! Given that these browsers must account for
a large part of internet traffic it is curious that microsoft have not fixed this. I have looked at CSS Friendly but
if looks like a lot of work and change for my websites just for the one control that does not work.
I got a code from internet for creating Crystal reports in Visual studio 2008 .net. It shows on how to pass parameters from web form to Crystal reports. Everything is ok, except the report crystal report viewer. How can I declare and assign report crystal report viewer manually in Visual studio .net?.
[Code]....
Is it possible to show 3 "Crystal Report" in single "Report Viewer Control" page??My current code for 1 Crystal Report and 1 Report Viewer control Page is below:Below code Page name is "JpsCrystalReport.aspx"
using CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine; //for crystal report
using CrystalDecisions.ReportSource;
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection(ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["SQLConnectionString"].ConnectionString);
[code]...
I want that when i click on button it redirects to "JpsCrystalReport.aspx" page as per condition given. Then on "JpsCrystalReport.aspx" page it should execute the 3 crystal reports as per conditions given on button click.Or I had to create 3 different "JpsCrystalReport.aspx" pages (that contains Report Viewer control) to show 3 Different Crystal Reports as per condition on button click?
I have an ASP.Net (.Net 2.0) application that creates Crystal Reports (version 11.5) and shows them with CrystalReportViewer control. For some reason the control isn't showing the logo image in the header of the report. It renders the following html
<img width="320" height="76" alt="Imagem" src="CrystalImageHandler.aspx?dynamicimage=cr_tmp_image_e47fba99-96fc-471b-ab11-06fd2212bbdd.png" border="0"/>
I already included the aspnet_client folder in my Virtual Directory in IIS.
