I have a log-in panel that when a user is logged in will show a Log Out button. Only problem is when I go to debug I get the error message:
"error BC30506: Handles clause requires a WithEvents variable defined in the containing type or one of its base types."
This is my back-end code:
[Code]....
And this is the front-end:
[Code]....
The log-in button works fine and I was just wondering if any of you could spot what is wrong as it looks like it should work perfectly as it is the same as the log in button.

I put a server side button on the header page. The website is running fine. I use the same source and put it on IIS, it's also working fine but the problem is, i couldn't compile it anymore using my VS studio. It's showing no error so when I go and check the output (after scrolling down a bit and found one line says error). it says
C:InetpubwwwrootAmFraserIntranetheader.master.vb(31,0): error BC30506: Handles clause requires a WithEvents variable defined in the containing type or one of its base types.
C:InetpubwwwrootAmFraserIntranetheader.master.vb(32,0): error BC30451: Name 'keyword' is not declared.
keyword is the textbox on the header page. I also played around with AutoEventWireUp (true/false) and defining onclick event on the server tag but it is still not solving the problem.

Could you teach me how to make girdview pass my object (with all it properties) to my ObjectDataSource delete method please?So far the object received by the delete method has only the datakey value, other properties are null.From this article indicates that this is default behaviour - ttp://www.manuelabadia.com/blog/PermaLink,guid,c72852ae-1fdd-4934-a715-f565ceaf21cc.aspxBut i need the other properties pass to the delete method too so i can do other thing before I actually delete the record.

We are using ASP security on the site, i found months back a tutorial on implementing a pretty simple management page that allows you to create, edit, delete and add roles as well as adding users to roles from 1 page..
It has been working fine, but we added our own security matrix to the site, everything that has to do with the ASP side of the security works as expected and no issues or concerns.. but with our matrix in place, i need to tie the 2 together for 1 thing.. the deleting of a user..
The delete function works great.. but i would like to add my delete to that function so that the users security matrix is deleted as well when their account is done.
Within the class that is handling all the membership functionality, there is this portion tha handles the deleting, i would like to add a call to my class that has the delete method so that when you click delete, the membership account as well as the matrix record is deleted. Since the delete is already setup within my 2nd class, how can i call it to execute it from within the first class?

I am trying to render a hyperlink to html. ( etc)
When the page loads it works fine. (and lots 10 links) on the update panel it hits the same function and tries to get another 10 links. I set the navigationURL to something like
"../Folder/Mypage.aspx?498592ghjgfosdfgo"
It is set identically both times(load and updatepanel postback) but when i try to render it to html the second time (on the update panel) it adds "../" to the front so i end up with
"../../Folder/Mypage.aspx?498592ghjgfosdfgo"
The function where it changes here
Public Shared Function RenderControl(ByVal c As Control) As String
Dim sw As New IO.StringWriter
Dim htmlw As New HtmlTextWriter(sw)
c.RenderControl(htmlw)
Return sw.ToString
End Function
c is the hyperlink which has the propertry navigationurl (this never gets changed) but the sw which ends up looking like this on load
<a id="lnkView" href="../Folder/mypage.aspx?AnTfh0ZsFP9NCxiBpM+Zd11cI+AUOF93HZQtumPgzMKky0PejGrda9I6kCFn070dOsIfq0M2AgI=">View</a>}
and this on panel update
<a id="lnkView" href="../../Folder/mypage.aspx?AnTfh0ZsFP9NCxiBpM+Zd11cI+AUOF93HZQtumPgzMKky0PejGrda9I6kCFn070dOsIfq0M2AgI=">View</a>}

I have the following statement:
List<string> tracks = new List<string> { "ABC", "DEF" };
var items = (from i in Agenda.AgendaSessions
select i).Where(p => p.Tracks.Any(s => tracks.Contains(s.Code)));
this returns all sessions which track contains either ABC or DEF, now when I rewrite the statement like the following, it returns All sessions regardless, as if the clause always yeilds into true,
var items = from i in Agenda.AgendaSessions
where i.Tracks.Any(s=> tracks.Contains(s.Code))
select i;
Update
if there are other clauses within the where, does that affect the results?

I'm getting an error out of WC3's HTML validator.
This is the error:
Line 102, Column 346: there is no attribute "border"
..., "", true, "", "", false, false))" border="0" />
You have used the attribute named above in your document, but the document type you are using does not support that attribute for this element. This error is often caused by incorrect use of the "Strict" document type with a document that uses frames (e.g. you must use the "Transitional" document type to get the "target" attribute), or by using vendor proprietary extensions such as "marginheight" (this is usually fixed by using CSS to achieve the desired effect instead).
This error may also result if the element itself is not supported in the document type you are using, as an undefined element will have no supported attributes; in this case, see the element-undefined error message for further information.
My client wants my pages to validate.
This is my markup:
<asp:ImageButton
ID="cmdTabMyPlanner"
CssClass="NavigationTab"
ImageUrl="images/nav-2.jpg"
runat="server"
/>
And this is the HTML it produces:
<input type="image" name="ctl00$cphMenu$cmdTabMyPlanner" id="ctl00_cphMenu_cmdTabMyPlanner" class="NavigationTab" src="images/nav-2.jpg" onclick="javascript:WebForm_DoPostBackWithOptions(new WebForm_PostBackOptions("ctl00$cphMenu$cmdTabMyPlanner",
"", true, "", "", false, false))" border="0" />

I have a ajax combobox in my page, when i try to select an item from it i can select by typing in text and its selectedindexchanged event fires, but when that event is complete and when i try to select another item from the combobox it produces the following error:
could not complete operation due to error 800a025e,and an alert asks me if i want to debug it.If I press yes then i get this page:
// Name: AjaxControlToolkit.ComboBox.ComboBox.debug.js
// Assembly: AjaxControlToolkit
// Version: 3.0.30930.28736
// FileVersion: 3.0.30930.0
/// <reference name="MicrosoftAjax.js"/>
htmlfile: Could not complete the operation due to error 800a025e.
_setTextSelectionRange: function(textBox, selectionStart, selectionEnd) {
// set the selection range on the text box[code]....
The Weird thing about this is that the error does not occur on the development machine but only on the server.

How do I reference the delete button to add the delete confirmation box when I have both the Edit and Delete buttons as the last two columns in the Gridview control. The following code works fine without any issues when I have the delete button only:
protected void GridView1_RowDataBound(object sender, GridViewRowEventArgs e)
{
if (e.Row.RowType != DataControlRowType.DataRow) return;
int lastCellIndex = e.Row.Cells.Count - 1;
Button db = (Button)e.Row.Cells[lastCellIndex].Controls[0];
db.OnClientClick = "if (!window.confirm('Are you sure you want to delete this record?')) return false;";
}
But, when I have both the Edit and the Delete buttons, I get the following error when I click the edit button while the delete button works fine.
Specified argument was out of the range of valid values. Parameter name: index
How do I reference the delete button so the edit button is not affected in this case?

Using "Enable Delete" from Gridview control, I can delete (besides, update, sort, paging, etc) data from the database (this is done automatically). However, how can I delete the actual image that resides in my image folder (i.e. from "pix" folder )? What is the best way to delete image? If using code behind, how? Please write a full code for me. Here is my source code.
<asp:GridView ID="GridView1" runat="server" AutoGenerateColumns="False" DataKeyNames="photoID"

I have a grid contol that allows delete what I would like to have is someway to say Are you sure you want to delete?I found this code online, and tried it but it did not work, Do I need something more some behind code maybe?Here is what I found online:Adding 'Delete Protection' to controls If you use a control set up to allow Delete, the Delete button gives a straight delete without any warning, which can be dangerous.To give a warning dialog box, add an OnClientClick event to the Delete button, as follows.
<asp:LinkButton
ID="DeleteButton"
runat="server" CausesValidation="False"
CommandName="Delete"
OnClientClick="return confirm('Are you sure you want to delete this record?');"
Text="Delete">
</asp:LinkButton>
Here is my code: You can see where I added the code from above.

I am using Sharepoint Designer and trying to insert a Delete button into a gridview. I added this to the top of my ASPX:
<%@ Register Tagprefix="SharePoint" Namespace="Microsoft.SharePoint.WebControls"
Assembly="Microsoft.SharePoint, Version=11.0.0.0, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c" %>
and I added this as a Gridview column:
<SharePoint:DeleteItemButton
runat="server"
ID="CustomFormDeleteItemButton"
ControlMode="Edit"
/>
and this is the error I get:
An error occurred during the processing of . System.Web.UI.WebControls.DataControlFieldCollection must have items of type 'System.Web.UI.WebControls.DataControlField'. 'SharePoint:DeleteItemButton' is of type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.WebControls.DeleteItemButton'.
