Web Forms :: Show Popup Over The Requesting Page When Called From Commercial App?

I use a commercial web application that has the ability to use web triggers in order to do additional validation prior to saving its forms. The commercial web application simply makes a request out to whatever asp, php, etc. code that you've written... and in the case of asp.net I've validated forms by pulling variables off of the page.request object and then passed back a success/fail message to the commercial app using JSON.
I would like to use asp.net to display a modal popup control when called, in order to display some options. Because I would be triggering this code from a commercial web app, I'm wondering how I can display the popup control on top of the requesting page? The code I've currently written displays a blank page with my popup control on it. Is it possible for me to display ONLY the popup control when called from another website?

i have a requirement to show javascript Ok/Cancel option on page load. So, when the user is redirected from the previous page to this page, based on some logic in the query string, we have to display javascript OK/Cancel (page is not yet rendered here). Once the user clicks, we have to load different type of data (server side execution) based on OK/Cancel. what is the best way of accomplishing this task?

I have inherited a site that was developed with a very over architedcted Content Management System. I am having problems now with the redirection functionality built into it.
This is on a dedicated Windows 2003 server running ASP.NET 3.5 sp 1. The redirects are stored in the database, and I have confirmed that the correct redirect is in place in the database. Finally, the file extension .html has been mapped in IIS to the ASP.NET ISAPI. And there is an HttpHandler created to redirect the .html requests. The default documents on the server, in order, are:
default.aspx
index.aspx
default.asp
index.asp
default.html
index.html
for this example, we have two redirects both pointing to the same content page. /example and /example.html.when requesting /example.html it correctly finds the appropriate redirect in the database and does its magic. Bueno. When requesting /example it gives a 404 page. Its not even the asp.net yellowish 404 generic error page. Its the standrad vanilla IIS 404 response so it appears that asp.net is not intercepting these requests.

i want to show a popup of client announcements on the home page dependant on whether the logged in user has seen the announcements.
so if user last logged in date is less than the announcements created date these will appear in a popup for the user to view.

I want in my web application that when user opens the website, the very first screen should be a login modal pop up in the centre of the page and every thing around should be transparently black. I made a custom MembershipProvider to work with Oracle and my own database schema. I also have my own layout of controls and am not using the built in ASP log in controls. I don't even want to use it templatized. Reason being is that I don't want to show all those controls on one page.I want on the top of every page on the siteUsername textbox Password textbox Sign In button Register buttonI created a register form as the first step of trying out my provider. Everything has landed in the database correctly.Now my problem is that when a user clicks the Register button from any page, I need to note what page is requesting the registration form and then send them back when registration is complete. The built in controls seem to automate this behavior, but I do not know how to do it myself.So question is: How can I program the site to remember what page a user came from when clicking a register button, then send the user back when registration is completed?

I wish to write a modal dialog box for my project, similar to this http://obout.com/editor_new/howto_sc.aspx.Which is very simple:When a user click on a button,the page will make a call to a web service and when it is done,a Movable Modal Dialog box will show and populated with my data, along with buttons and scripts for those buttons.It seems that the panel and popup extender can show the popup but it is not movable.Should I do it with AJAX tool kit or using pure Javascript, I see a few sample on the web, but it is kind OF complicated.

i use modal popup extender to show my details in another separate window it is a panel contains some controls the problem is ::
when i click on my button which contains::
the Show() method the parent page just frozen and no popup appears at all on the other side i have a grid view when i click on the last button on it the popup appears where the other buttons on the grid view make the same behavior of my first button , i donot know what is the problem my panel visibility = true and no setting in my behind code..i view the source and i find the panel with its contents then why the popup window doesnot appear.

Over the past two weeks or so, I've been getting feedback from users on my site that a popup box is interferring with their use of my search page. From the research I've done, it appears only Firefox users are having this problem. I haven't changed my site, so I can't figure out why this is happening. Has anyone successfully corrected this problem. It's costing me traffic, so I have to figure this out. My site is based on the classified starterkit.

I am getting an error while calling a javascript from a dropdownlist which is placed inside a modal pop-up panel. if i am ebeding a small script like onchange="javascript:alert('hello');", it works fine. But if i m using <script> </script> for embeding a javascript its showing 'object doesn't support this property' error. when i debugged it the compiler does not get into the javascript function.

I'm in a Unique position where I have to display one popup above another popup. Problem is that popup B's background does not show above popup A's content and as such you ae still able to click on buttons, ect. on popup A.
I tried to rather disable the Tab Control on popup A with javascript once popup B is displayed, but it only disables textboxes and labels and nothing else.
getting popup B's background to display above popup A or help with disabling all controls (Contained in Tab Control) on popup A?

I have created one user control for changing the theme of the page where i have several buttons and on click of each button i am applying the theme of clicked buttons color and for that i have created several css files like red.css, blue.css , green.css etc.
now i want to apply this theme to the page but i am not able to do that from the user control as because i am not getting the stylesheet property in the page and thus i am not able to work further.
can anyone tell me how can i apply the theming from user control to the page its being called.?

I'm developing a Asp.Net website that will be used for a lot users. Would you recomend the use of Ajax Control Toolkit on these kind of website?I'm trying to imagine the worse scenario.
