Web Forms :: Split One Of Gridview Values Into 3 Parts (00:00:00)?

I have a gridview that is displaying a time format like so 00:00:00 I need to split that into 3 seperate values so i can set my dropdowns to those values.
what can i search on to accomplish this.. im taking 3 drop downs and combining them into 1 value before the page is submitted.. but at a later time if you want to resubmit the form, you can pick from a list of values you have already used. so i need to take that value and split it to set the dropdowns.
I am trying to split a collection into multiple collections while maintaining a sort I have on the collection. I have tried using the following extension method, but it breaks them incorrectly. Basically, if I was to look at the items in the collection, the order should be the same when compared to the broken up collections joined. Here is the code I am using that doesn't work:

I am developing web application using csharp and MS SQL as database. There is a column in table that is storing values which as numbers and letters. Letters are in front like JK26262, JK26263,JK26263.
Now I want to select numbers only from a table column and leave letters. In other words I want an select statement that will select values as follows:
suppose i've created my own user control, and it has a textbox and a property for the textbox so that if i use the user control from within the aspx file, i can give the property a value. for example:

is it possible to also set the property to be seen via the desing mode , just as it works for other (built in) controls? maybe a different method to implement the same scenario?
if you still didn't understand what i mean : after setting the value of DefaultNum1 via the code i've written here, i expect the textbox associated with this property to be updated as well to '1' via the design mode (and split mode). of course it won't work using the current method, since VS cannot guess what is going on with the property and understand that all of its purpose is to assign an initialization value for the textbox.
I am using Visual Studio 2010 where I have a gridview that displays many columns and because of that the user has to scroll horizontally in order to view the rest of the columns. Is there a way to split the columns so that each row will contain some columns and some columns underneath them? For example, I have 10 columns where each row will show 5 columns with their headers and the other 5 columns below with their headers.
is there a way of putting a horrizontal split in a gridview, so say you have a client column on the left hand side, everytime the client changes there is a blank row or there is a split in the girdview?I am using c#by the way
I need to display data in gridview like this. here Budget01...budget12 : Year1 Budget13...budget24 : Year2 Budget25...budget36 : Year3 Budget37...budget48 : Year4 Budget49...budget60 : Year5
In one grid there is only one column and entries are 100+, all entries are hyperlink entries, but the gridview does not look nice with one column and 100+entries, is there any way I can split that entries in 3-4 coluns to look even.
I am getting int values from the stored procedure. But when i bind this datasource with the gridview i am seeing the values being converted into float. i am using Text='<% # Bind("Quantity") %' I wanna that to be displayed as int, with out zero'seg: let the value be 233, when i bind that its getting displayed as 233.00

This is my first time working with web parts. Was wondering if anyone can show me how to create a new webpart project in VS2008. I don't see any options for creating a "web part template" when I go to create a new project.
I am having trouble with ASP.NET and trying to use web parts. I am receiving and error. I am using VS 2008, with ASP.NET 2.0. I create a new project and add the webpart manager and then the webpartzone. I build and run the project and receive the error: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)

SQLExpress database file auto-creation error:
The connection string specifies a local Sql Server Express instance using a database location within the applications App_Data directory. The provider attempted to automatically create the application services database because the provider determined that the database does not exist. The following configuration requirements are necessary to successfully check for existence of the application services database and automatically create the application services database:
If the applications App_Data directory does not already exist, the web server account must have read and write access to the applications directory. This is necessary because the web server account will automatically create the App_Data directory if it does not already exist. If the applications App_Data directory already exists, the web server account only requires read and write access to the applications App_Data directory. This is necessary because the web server account will attempt to verify that the Sql Server Express database already exists within the applications App_Data directory. Revoking read access on the App_Data directory from the web server account will prevent the provider from correctly determining if the Sql Server Express database already exists. Now i need to Bind it to gridview, the gridview columns should be
Date,IN,OUT,IN,OUT
In punched time the first one should be IN and second OUT. A employee would have punched several time a day. Based on that I should take maximum punches and bring that of columns as IN and OUT in gridvew dynamically. How to achieve this?
I have form and i'm using web parts for asp.net.I want the first web part the stretch the entire width and on the second row I have 2 small web parts to on the second row

I am using web parts in my web page( ASP.NET 2.0 and C#).
The contents of these web parts vary in size. For example, one web part has calendar control, another web part has the File Upload control.
I have added the web parts under "td" tag. So the web parts are of different sizes now, I want to make the webparts to be of same height and width, regardless of the content available.
How to set the height and width to be same for all web parts regardless of the content available in the webparts.
Also, when I web page is running, I am able to "WebPartZone1" which is the Id in the page. How to hide that name from appearing.
I would like to know if it's possible not to use ASPNETDB.MDF file for the web parts.I don't want to store any data in ASPNETDB.MDF, I would like to remove that file, I tried delete it, but every time I compile my project, ASPNETDB.MDF creates it self automatically.
