Web Forms :: Using One ControlValidator To Manage Multiple RadioButton Lists?

I have a set of 4 separate RadioButton lists that all have different ID names. I know how to set each one up with a required Validation Control to check to make sure at least one button is selected in a particular list. However, what I want to do is have one control validator that is able to check all 4 lists, and make sure that at least one button is selected, no matter from what list.
In other words, when the submit button I have is selected, it looks at all 4 lists. If no radio buttons are selected from any of the 4 lists, it pops up with the required field control validator message. If at least one button out of the 4 lists is selected, it submits just fine.

I am using a dataset control and I have 5 dropdown lists in which their content depends on what item is selected in each dropdown list.
I know I can populate the lists with 5 different queries taking the variables from each list but I am thinking there must be a better way.
Is there a way to populate each list with one query that takes the distinct items from each column returned without looping through the entire recordset?

I am creating a web service in asp.net. I not getting which one is better way to manage multiple classes with web service.
Two way in my mind but i am not getting which one is better.
1) Call all classes in single .asmx file.
2) Create different .asmx file for all classes.

I have a gridview which can be filtered from one or more values in a querystring. That all works great: e.g. "?subject=Maths&authorName=Bond_James&type=Magazine"
The values passed to the query string come from 3 drop down lists: Subject, Author, Type. What I'd like is when the user presses "Filter" it will take the selected values from the drop down lists and pass them to the querystring - it could be 1 value, 2, or all 3 (like above).
The drop down lists have an item called "All Subjects" / "All Author" / "All Type" each with a value of -1. The idea being that if the user leaves these items selected then the Filter button just ignores them.

Also, one more thing. How do I get the drop down lists to have the filters selected when the page re loads?
EDIT: I changed the default values of the drop down lists to "" - this leaves the URL looking messy though ?author=&subject=&type= This works, is it the best way?

I want to deploy multiple asp.net applications on same hosting with subdomains. How it should be manged ?
I just created a subdomain and deploy application in its folder; when I tried to access application with subdomain it shows the following error:
An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

#Newbie alert# Only 8 months experience with school education back in 2002.
I'm using VS 2008, C# 3.5 to develop my own login system for our company website.
Originally we have a "simple" design which only had a login and order page.
That order page needs to be opened for 10-12 hours at the time while our stores are opened without having to relog into the system for each query.
We also have a requirement that some users need to access 2 different compagnies (separate inventories) which require 2 different logins.
I solved that "cross over" session problem by moving all the values into viewstate with my own viewstate manager class right after the login.
Now my problem is that we are adding more and more pages and I don't want to be stuck with the problem to resave the viewstate to session and then back on viewstate for every menu items and buttons.
Is there a way to create some sort of items list of all the sessions opened by the user and only transmit that from pages to pages?

I have an aspx page which has 18 (yes 18) dropdown lists and 18 text boxes. Each dropdown needs to be selected and each textbox needs to be filled. Dragging and dropping required field validators on these 36 controls and maintaining them is a painful task and does not seem to be the logical option as all I need is for the user to select a value from the dropdown.
Is there anyway I can loop through all these dropdown controls and textbox controls, check if they are empty and display warnings to users accordingly? Client-side validation solution or server side validation solution is fine with me.

I am trying to get the drop down list to only include table1 entries where table3.int1 is the current selection in another drop down list (table2.id). Example:
Table1: id, string1, int
Table2: id, string1, string2, dec
Table3: id, int1 (ref table2.id), int2 (ref table1.id)
Both drop down lists are inside of a FormView object for a asp.net page. My current select command(s) are having the DropDownList for Table1 display all Table3 entries, instead of just the ones Tied to Table2 id from the other DropDownList.

I'm having trouble doing a left outer join with multiple generic lists tables. I've been researching for hours and there isn't a whole lot out there on this subject and VB (at least what I found).
I have the following Linq query:

.dataField2 = c.dataField2, _

S1 has a count of 30. V1 has a count of 20. C1 has a count of 10. This query joins the three but ends up with a count of only 10 based on the datakey ID and, of course, only shows those 10 in the gridview.
I would like to show all 30 from S1 in the gridview with blank fields wherever V1 and C1 do not have data. From what I've read I need to do a left outer join. However, all examples I've found are with two datasets.
I've tried multiple times expanding on what I've found by changing it to a group join and also adding the .DefaultIfEmpty() property in the query, but nothing is working.
How can I change the above query to a left outer join with these multiple tables?

I have a view which takes two objects: booking and list of reasons for canceling that booking.I have two classes: clsBooking, clsBookingCancelationReason I can read both objects in my view - no problems there. After I read the objects, I display the booking details and I generate a list of cancelation reasons in the following way:

I am populating 4 drop down lists. The dropdownlists within the For loop work fine and I will ignore these for the rest of this post. Reading the code below should add 2 values to the dropdownlist ddlPost and should add 2 values to the dropdownlist ddlTailLength. Both values should be A and B. Both of these drop lists should show 2 values (A and B), but are showing 4 values each (A, B, A, B). The only loop on these pages is the one displayed below.

I don't want to link my dropdownlists with a database like most of tutorials and forums show. I just want to link 2 dropdownlists, for instance if one says "Food" I want to show only the food producs in the other DropDownList. All this items are not from a database, I just inserted them in the DropDownList control.

I have until now always stored my lists definitions for labels and values for dropdownboxes in my own defined Xml files. These lists labels I then match with a language file (.resx) ..... so far so good but now I am starting a new project. Should I continue with my old habbits or is there a better way of storing label constants for my dropdown boxes throughout my application?
I would be happy skipping my read and write rutines for my onw structure if there is a better dedicated one for the purpose.

in all browers this works but in IE the dropdown list items in my modal pop up extender vanish when I make a selection. I even have a ddl in ajax panel and the same thing happens. it seems like a bug.

I want to know how to make up dropdown lists with numbers in them and and the end of the page as you selected the numbers they add themselfs up and you see a total at bottom the page
drop down list one 50
drop down list two 55
drop down list three 35
TOTAL IS _____140 _______
(and the end of the page when you select one number in each dropdown list) it adds it up for you and shows your total on the same page

I have an ASP.NET web application that is using forms authentication. Everything is configured and working correctly. However, i'm dealing with the issue of creating and maintaining users and role membership.
I know that I can roll my own solution but I'm wondering if there is an alternative solution?
Does iis7 provide screens for managing forms authentication users? Is there a reliable, free solution that someone would recommend?
