i am using entity framework for all functions which has been created in my project and now i dont want to create a separate unit test function for each function.just one function should do the job based on different parameters...

Apr 15, 2010I am having a problem with disabling DropDownList based on the chice of 1st DropDownList, there is no post back occuring, and it is a template based web app here is the current code:

Sep 18, 2010I am making an application that deals with vehicles. I need two DropDownLists:
Makes: All Vehicle Makes
Models: Models that belong to the selected value of the Make DropDownList
How is this done in MVC2? My Idea: Do I use an ajax call when my first list is selected and then pull back the Models to bind to the Model DDL? How would model binding come into play that way? UPDATE I posted what I ended up doing as an answer. It is super simple and works great. You can use a get too if you feel so inclined, but you have to specify that you want to like so... return Json(citiesList, JsonRequestBehavior.AllowGet);

May 7, 2010Here's what I want to accomplish: I have two .aspx pages, the first page with a ddl to select a vendor (SelectVendor.aspx), and one to add a vendor (NewVendor.aspx), if it's not in the first one. If a user adds a new vendor on the NewVendor.aspx page I want the page to automatically redirect back to SelectVendor.aspx and have the ddl automatically select the new vendor that was just added. Here's where I'm at so far: If a vendor is not listed in the ddl on SelectVendor.aspx, a user can click a button to navigate to a page to add a new vendor (NewVendor.aspx). On NewVendor.aspx the user types the name of the new vendor in a textbox and clicks an insert button to add the new vendor, then the page is automatically redirected back to SelectVendor.aspx with the new vendor name added to the QueryString. For example, let's say a user adds a vendor name "Best Vendor": The page is redirected back to SelectVendor.aspx as "SelectVendor.aspx ?vendor=Best Vendor"Now all I need from here is to have the ddl programmatically select the new vendor by the text value in the QueryString.

Dec 23, 2010Bringing back to life an old post that I dont believe ever got solved: http://forums.asp.net/t/1562245.aspxThis may be an old thread .... but no answer was ever given ... and I too have a radio button list and DDL and am stuck in the EXACT same place. If I check one of the two data bound radio buttons, the DDL should repopulate with a different set of results. This works just fine EXCEPT .... the DDL cannot be databound. If I set SELECTEDVALUE of the control to a bind I get this error:Databinding methods such as Eval(), XPath(), and Bind() can only be used in the context of a databound control.I have followed the advice on this page from various users, all to no avail....surely this can be done, and I assume quite simply. Anyone know the answer?

Oct 5, 2010I have code that another member assisted with and is working great. Now that the page is working more and more like it should with the remaining requirments. I have something else i would like to implement.
Since the code i have automatically creates / generates a table with textboxes and labels based on a drop down selection. I would like to know how to clear the textboxes if they chose 0 from the dropdown. Or if they select "No" on the radiobutton, then that means they have nothing to provide, so i dont want to capture something that they may have entered before changing their mind.
Here is the code the generates the tables and textboxes, i just need to setup, so that if they select "NO" from the radiobutton or if they select "0" from the dropdown that the textbox values, if any, are cleared so that we dont get inconsistant data captured.

May 17, 2013I have a dropdownlist ,three text boxes and a submit button.The three text boxes are disabled and enabled based on the condition in dropdownlist.I have provided required field validators in three text boxes.When I click on condition "self" then three text boxees are disabled and submit button click wont enter the values since required field validators prevent that.I have set causes validation property to false.But it wont work for the second condition where i need to enable all the textboxes,If i didnt provide any values it will enter nulll values to db.

Example, if my dataset only returns 1 item, the value of that item needs to be 0
