Mar 9, 2010I have a Gridview that has a button at the left hand side representing the row number. The Gridview has two textboxes and a dropdown listbox as templates. I would like to enable or disable the textboxes and the dropdown listbox if the row is not selected. I also need to enable or disable the templates depending on what the value is of one of the cells. When the templates are changed, I need to save the changes.
I have been able to get this working in the RowDataBound Sub but not in the RowCommand Sub when the row is selected. provide an example in VB.My current RowDataBoundSub, which does no work is below:

Forms Data Controls :: Repeater Textboxes - Unable To Fetch The Values Of Textboxes
Aug 11, 2010I have a repeater which is binded using a Collection of Entity Data Framework.
Once the repeater is binded using the datasource, the user can control the no of rows present in the repeater using a Dropdown list on the page. For ex: if datasource has 2 rows, user want to add 3 more rows, user selects 5 from dropdown, which adds 3 additional rows to the Repeater. I am able to do this.
The repeater has textbox controls in each row. Now once the user enter the values in this textbox of the newly generated rows, the user can save the values entered with the no of rows specified.
I have a button which is outside the repeater and on click of this i need to validate all the textbox values and save them into dB accordingly.

Jan 4, 2010I have a datalist and it contains a checkbox bound to a boolean value. I need to be able to scroll through the list, click on the appropriate checkboxes, and then update all using the button control. The only value in the sql table that needs updating is the checkbox, although other values are displayed. What is the simpliest way to do this. My code behind is C#. This is what I have now and it all works except for the actual update method being called correctly.

Jan 29, 2010I have a set of data that has been displayed as just a simple GridView with the item name being a hyperlink to view details. I'm attempting to update this scenario so certain fields (sortOrder and isApproved) are editable from the main page and do not require visiting each item in the grid. I have converted the GridView to a DataGrid and have included a TemplateColumn for the columns in question. I have them hooked up to display the values appropriately. At this point, I'm trying to find a way to peek into the DataGrid and it's related data source to determine if the values have changed on the click event of a button. At that point, I could persist those changes back to the respective SharePoint list.
I'm not very familiar with the DataGrid, or GridView for that matter. Can anyone point me in the correct direction on how I could gain access to the data source at an item/row level during a button click event where the button exists outside the context of the DataGrid?

Then I create two resource files under App_GlobalResources folder: web.sitemap.resx, web.sitemap.zh-cn.resx. In two resource files, I have filled corresponding value. Then I drag a TreeView and SiteMapDataSource control, then bind it. I try to switch different culture from DropDownlist value to show different treeview. But it always show default culture's data even if I switch to a chinese culture, I don't know why. I switch different culuture in InitializeCulture event.

What I wonder is how it will be possible to let this ImageButton change Picture between "Pic1" and "Pic2" that I also have in this folder with one second interval.
So it will be: "Pic1","Pic2","Pic1","Pic2" and so on...
If this is possible using C#, that would be an interesting solution ?

Web Forms :: Visibility Of Panels And UserControls?
Mar 9, 2010First off - has any recent .NET / Windows Service Pack / Windows Update changed the behaviour around the Visibility of Panels / User Controls? An area of our site has all of a sudden stopped working. The most recent change that I made was a few weeks ago, I've backed out the change from my development environment, but the issue is still happening.
I'll explain what is happening. I have a couple of forms where the same behaviour is happening, but they follow the same pattern:
On the form there is let's say 2 ASP:Panel controls. In each of these there is a separate ASP:UserControl. When the User first visits the page, they are shown the first Panel and User Control. On this control they complete a couple of steps and click Next. This fires an event on the main page, which hides the first panel and shows the second panel, at least that is what is supposed to happen - and if I debug and step into the code this is what is happening as normal. Except on screen, the first panel is no longer being hidden, so it would appear clicking the Next button does nothing.
I'm at a loss as to what has happening - nothing has changed, and stepping through the code it's working correctly, but the screen is not reflecting what is happening in the code.
My next step is to create an isolated set of test pages to recreate the issue. Will attach when done and investigated, hopefully this will solve it
