I have some problem with the Localization in ASP.net. I have generated the resources and binding the text property by an variable. In the source file.

After checking the asp.net version on the web server it seems only the version 2.0 is available and so when I browse to the site i.e. http://servername/site
then I get this error below. Should I put something in the web.config file to solve this issue?It seems the error is to do with the reportviewer control I am using.

I have a ASP Web App that has been fine when deployed but now I've introduced Crystal Reports to it and is fine when testing.
On my Web Setup Project Ive right clicked, Add, Assembly and included:-
CrystalDecisions.Reportsource.dll
CrystalDecisions.Shared.dll
CrystalDecisions.web.dll
Ive run the setup on an pc away from the development environment but when connecting I get:-

I try to add a new web api to my .net application and place it on Azure (where all my APIs are).
The new API is getNumbers:

I'm having a problem with a multilanguage application in MVC. On my model I'm using the following:

This takes care of validation... However the messages are always in the default language. Meaning that the setting of the culture of my thread is occuring too late (I'm currently setting it in my base controller 'OnActionExecuting'). Where could I patch in to change the culture accordingly before validation takes place?

I have a webservice which works 100% fine on my developer machine. I have denied anonymous access to the entire application using the following Web.Config setting:

Then, for various paths, I have allowed anonymous access using Web.Config settings such as this:

I'd like to be able to determine during the processing of a given request whether the requested URL is to path that allows anonymous users or whether the request is to a path that denies anonymous users.

We have a Web Application (WebApplication A) which is in place and serving fine, we are working on another WebApplication which will use the Engine of Existing Web Application (WebApplication B) to some extent.
Problem: WebApplication A responds when a http request is made for a resource, like LatestPost.aspx, which passes it down to relevant class / Module like FrontManager.cs. I want to know how can we access that Module / class (FrontManager.cs) from WebApplication B, without requesting a Web Page ?

I have a very simple ASP.NET web application created under Visual Studio 2008 (SP1), targeting .NET 3.5.
Startup page is a dumbed down ASPX page with 4 text boxes, a button, and two JScript functions:
An OnLoad handler for the body. This function just sets the values of the text boxes to certain dates and times for testing.An OnClick handler for the button. This handler invokes the Localization web service and displays the results thereof.
Localization is a web service. Its job is to get the user's region and country information, create a CultureInfo object, and parse the date and time information so that it can verify that the start date is prior to the end date. It's the only reliable way to do this without reams of JScript code that essentially reinvents the wheel. The result is returned as a JSON string.
Everything seemed to be working just fine, until I started getting these weird error messages from the debugger. The debugger will break on this line :

Now, this is baffling, and research has usually recommended ensuring that Java was installed. I scoffed at first, thinking that I, with my vast and clearly superior intellect, could not possibly have made so foolish a mistake and that everyone knew the difference between Java and JavaScript. So, when no one was looking, I tried it. It made no difference.
I have no idea what is causing this to occur. The stack trace reveals that it's the only call on the stack. There aren't even any local variables to work with. And the file that it occurs in is a generated dynamic script resource. The function, however, is the _onReadyStateChange function of the Sys.Net.XMLHttpExecutor object. So I can at least say it's occurring consistently in the AJAX code.
Has anyone else seen this? If you did, what was its cause and how did you resolve it?

I have a web application which is using IUSR_machineName, anonymous OFF, integrated windows authentication ON which will call a web service. The web service failed to be called if anonymous in web service is turned OFF. I was thinking to assign Credential programmatically from my web application via "DefaultCredential". But how could I know if IUSR_machineName has the permission to call the web service?

We set up a paypal gateway on our site using paypal NVP API: Our IIS web server is set up for SSL, though I just created a cert on the locally machine. When we load HTTPS the browser gives a warning about security before the page will load. I know a local cert won't cut it for SSL, so I think we need a verisign cert? [URL] Is this correct? How can I know that the cert I am getting will get along with paypal and elimante any security warnings for the user.

I just finished setting up the environment for an ASP based web app on a Windows Server 2003 machine, IIS 6.0, ASP.NET 4.0., with custom service account.This is not a domain based setup, so I have created mirrored logins on both servers (WEB server and SQL Server 2005). Everything works just fine except the fact that every time I try to browse the main page, a login pop-up window will request login password confirmation. I tried many things so far. Making sure IIS is in NTLM Authentication mode, checking access rights for the local login I created, workarounds I found on MSDN, etc.
This happens only if I change the Directory Security to not allow anonymous access (Authenticated Access - Integrated Windows authentication only). If I keep both, or only anonymous, everything works fine.Is this the intended behavior? Am I doing something wrong here?I already tried everything I found on MSDN regarding these types of errors. If I do not enter a password for three times in a row, the error says "HTTP Error 401.1 - Unauthorized - Access is denied due to invalid credential."

I'm submitting a request to a web service, but I'm receiving some errors. They've asked to see an example of the xml request and response. I used Visual Studio to consume the web service, so I'm just calling a method in my code - I don't actually see any xml. Is there a way to grab the XML request and response as XML or at least a text string?

I've got this application that works locally and when deployed and using a .mdf SQL Express database file (which I usually use for testing purposes). However, when I change it to work with our SQL Server 2008 the app works but the service doesn't. For example if in my code behind of a page I have a button that adds data to a table such as this it works fine:
