Is there a way to create a navigation bar in aspx using images? I know how to implement images into aspx but not very sure of how to code a drop down navigation in aspx. I just need a head start on this.

What I want is when I hover over a particular menu link a drop-down of additional links is available. Do I need to use some type of javascript for this or can asp provide this functionality?

View 2 RepliesI have a drop down list embedded in a menu panel in my master page. This ddl fetches it's list items from my SQL Server. They are:
1. Select a type --appended during page load
2. Green type -- fetched from SQL server via a datasource
3. Red type -- fetched from SQL server via a datasource
4. User Manual -- appended during page load
For the sake of simplicity my website has 4 pages. When the 'Select a type' list item is selected - the user should be taken to a general 'Introduction' page. When the 'Green type' - the user should be taken to a 'Green' page - and etc.
I have a menu navigation bar with drop down menu in asp.net project.i have done this with jquery.To get into this page i have 5 hyperlinks in previous page. when i click on one of the hyperlink and enter the navigation bar page,i need to make dropdown visible to false. i dont have any idea related to this.

I am working on a website for a Non-profit, and I am currently using Jquery and CSS to create a dynamic dropdown navigation bar. The code + examples can be found here: [URL]
The Nav menu works great, however when the elements expand, the new content forces the rest of the content on the page to move down and it messes up the entire formatting of the site. Most websites usually just have the Nav bar elements expand OVER the rest of the page without modifying locations...

I'm trying to create an ASP.NET MVC master page so the site navigation on it will look like this:
Main Menu:Home | About | News
Sub Menu: Home_Page1 | Home_Page2
The Sub Menu section should always show sub-menu for the currently selected Main Menu page (on the example above 'Home' page is selected) unless a user hovers the mouse on another Main Menu item (then it shows that item's sub-menu instead).

I'm trying to create a custom control that has a dropdown list and a required field validator in it.I've got as a far as being able to set the error message if the control fails to validate, but I can't actually get it to validate, not can I figure out how to call a .Validate method server side. This is driving me nuts!
To create my control, I followed the article here I ran the text box example through, and I can get that to validate without any problems, so I then went through and created a new set of class files relating to a drop down list.Anyone got any thoughts, or hints as to what might be wrong, or where I should start looking?
I have the following code, i add code for required validator, but when you make selection from dropdown to create the table, the page generates an error. Should the logic be somewhere else to add it to the table? i mean, dont they have to be there so when you submit the form, it fires the validation?
