Now the problem is:
As this is registration form, I want server side validation of existing email id .If user entered email id already exist in DB I want to reopen the above modal dialog (automatically) with an error massage Email ID already exist.
I m not able to reopen that dialog box.
I want to make a page for registeration form. It will have name, address, gender, contact_no and email. User will key in data in the TextBox and all the data will save into the database after they click Submit button. I know how to design the UI and create database and table. But I didn't know how to save the value in the TextBox into the database.

I want to create a user registration form, I used the CreateUserWizard control, and i intend to add more filed with the wizard interface, the fields were firstname,lastname, telephone all these with the textBox control and sex-male or female with a radioButton control, and upload photo with the FileUpload control.
After a successfull submit to the sql database, i should be able to retrieve all this informtion inluding the photo uploaded in another aspx page using any of the data control in y toolbox and resizein the photo to be 100/100 pixel size. pls could you write out the code (step by step details) to follow to implement all this in my asp.net 3.5 c# website. I have already created a table in my database, using userId as my ForeignKey.
I try to construct a membership system using Walkthrough: Creating a Web Site with Membership and User Login. The membership system is going to be added to umbraco cms. I should admit that I am still in the learning process and need your guidance for my question.On my registration page other than standard fields which comes with CreateUserWizard, I need to add some extra fields in addition to that and those fields should be saved to database along with standard fields. I am working in a school and we recently installed a new server running WinServer 2008R2. I want to be able to point people to a URL on our intranet and have them fill out a simple registration form and have this data written to a database. It would also be nice to have some data auto-populate (such as their name).
Is it overkill to set up a sharepoint server and try to do this with Access Webforms? Could I use something like dotnetnuke and find a module that works? Or how about options for writing custom forms?
I want to send a confirmation email to the user after they register to my website. I am using CreateUserWizard of .NET and I use C#.
My idea is after users register they get an email with a link. If they click the link, they will come to an activation page. I have done this so far:

I am very confused and not sure what to do. I understand that i need to email an url with the userID to user's email upon registration, but how to do this, and when user clicks that url in that email, how that url will automatically come to activation page?

I have to create the custom pages/ templates. User has to specify the fields and controls from UI and then we have to display the specified controls on an aspx page. We have mutiple users that are adding their custom fields and controls. How we can manage this data in database? Do we have to create different database for each user or we have to create different tables for each user in a single database? Also, I can go with any other option (XML, Sharepoint etc) so that all the data will be managed in a simpler form.

View 3 RepliesI am trying to create dataset (.xsd) and link it with stored procedure in MySQL database. the problem is when i connect it it's changing the schema name. like if I have this stored procedure name or table name or whatever :

def.News.tbNews. MySql version 5.5.8, MySqlConnector 6.3.4 I searched for a solution for this problem and one of the answers was to change the MySqlConnector from 6.3.4 to 6.3.6 !!! I download the new connector 6.3.6 but it's giving me Error while installing it.
