I want to delete every row that doesn't contain "." in my textfile. I have tried different ways but i can't get it to work!This is my code!

Writing is not problem , The problem is reading, to display line by line on textbox , we use "
" in normal windows form c sharp , but in asp it is not working. also is there anything instead of System.Environment.NewLine when writing. And is there any converter between NORMAL WINDOWS FORM csharp to ASP .NET C SHARP.

I have a text file that I want to read line by line from into a string variable. On each click of a button I want to read the next line.Solutions I find reading from a textfile do it all at once though (in a while loop), displaying all lines on screen, but I don't want that. I want to fill one variable with the subsequent lines in the textfile, one at a time, everytime by a click on a button.How can I 'loop' through a textfile in this manner, without 'file already in use' errors etc.?

I have a gridview connected to my objectdatasource, i wrote a class for the database queries.Now when i do an update of record i get the id form the grid, when i click on delete i don't get the id, its 0.Is there an option to set the id? i can't find it in the gridview.

I have 3 gridviews in one of my web page. I have simplified the system structure in the image below(further description will be stated below the image): As shown in the image above, the web site(presentation layer) will work closely with the Business Logic layer(BLL) and Data Access Layer(DLL). ObjectDataSource control will be the middle man to select, update, insert and delete the data in the gridviews. During Select, returned data from the database at DAL will be stored in a datatable and return to BLL and then the website itself.
The data in the returned datatable will be filetered by type using RowFilter method and stored into the 3 dataviews. Each dataview will act as the datasource for the 3 GridViews respectively, and therefore I specified the datasource programatically instead of setting the datasourceid for each gridview.

dataview1.RowFilter = "Type='1'"
GridView1.DataSource = dataview1

I couldn't figure out why, hope that someone who have come across the same problem couldn't provide some guidance.

I tried to pass datetime from a textfile to the form and using it to get the classes from web service.
the site has 4 countries. based on the country value from session , i load the text file.
It works perfectly for 3 countries without any issues. but not for the fourth country.

I can open the modalpopup, can close the popup, but if i click the "edit" button to edit any of rows, the popup closes automatically. If I click again, the "Update" and "Cancel" buttons shows, and after clicking one of those, popup closes again. The above code works, if i use gridview the insert, edit or delete the data, does not close automatically. What may be the cause of this problem.

How do I reference the delete button to add the delete confirmation box when I have both the Edit and Delete buttons as the last two columns in the Gridview control. The following code works fine without any issues when I have the delete button only:

Using "Enable Delete" from Gridview control, I can delete (besides, update, sort, paging, etc) data from the database (this is done automatically). However, how can I delete the actual image that resides in my image folder (i.e. from "pix" folder )? What is the best way to delete image? If using code behind, how? Please write a full code for me. I am using VS 2008 SP1. My also have included CSS Friendly adapter [URL] in my project ( I mentioned this because my GridView Empty data template is not showing when using GridView's CCS Friendly adapter). I have a GridView and a DetailsView. When a record in GridView is selected its details information is shown in the Details View. Type of Data source I am using is ObjectDataSource. I need you assistance, Dynamic Delete LinkButton with CommandName=Delete gives me an error: Delete can only be called on a valid data item. nfact I am designing a Complex Grid using .Net 3.5 ListView Control with Scrollbar and Fixed Toolbar: This grid consist of 3 Tables:

ListView give us only one ItemPlaceHolder to Bind Data as per LayoutTemplate, so I cannot able to manupulate my Toolbar Controls with ItemTemplate :(, therefore I decide to use ItemDataBound to add ImageButtons Dynamically using Init Page Event and I am able to get the result as you saw above:
ImageButton with funnel icon is with CommandName="Filter"
ImageButton with magnifier icon is with CommandName="View"
ImageButton with stop icon is with CommandName="Delete"
