Apr 26, 2010I'am developing a commercial website using visual studio.net 2005 and sql server 2005, where i have to import contacts from microsoft outlook 2003 into my web application, so i have searched a code, but it is a console application where it displays the contacts in the command prompt, but i have to retrieve it to my database application in an asp.net application becoz im working in asp.net2.0

Feb 18, 2011The application should let them send an html-email containing a survey, that people who have contacted the servicedesk with a problem could fill out to improve service. The email must of course contain form tags to be able to send it back to the application to treat the answers of the survey. The problem as i understand it is that outlook 2007 can't handle form-tags in html-emails, is there a workaround for this or is it a lost cause. I know i could always send an email containing a link to a webpage with the survey and let the user fill it out in their browser, but as people are lazy the response rate tend to get very low if the user has to click a link to open a webpage and then fill out the survey. If we managed to get the survey directly in the mail we think that the reponse rate should go up (at least a bit )

Web Forms :: Form Is Only Partially Visible When In Design View?
Apr 18, 2010When I try to look at my masterpage/form in design view it's only partially visible. It's shifted so far to the left that i can only see the right half of it. I don't understand why. I'm using negative margins to center the form at runtime, which is working great. It appears to be shifted to left about half of it's width, which would equal the negative margin.

Is this a deficiency with the rendering in Design view? Is it a discrepancy between the way a browser would interpret the styles and the was the Design view interprets them?

I have started to use Masterpages, and normally you can code in the Source view and also you can switch to the Design view and watch everything you did, but, when I´ve introduced master-pages, I can see only the master page design view but I cannot see the Content form design!!! :S

Mar 13, 2011I installed the AJAX Toolkit (for .NET4) onto a new Toolbox tab in Visual Studio 2010. However, when I try to drag any of these controls onto my Web form in design mode, they won't stick. My mouse pointer changes to 'disabled' (a circle with a diagonal line thru the middle) as soon as it hovers anywhere over my target form. Is there some additional action I need to take to make VS "recognize" these AJAX Toolkit controls?

What should I know to prevent my browser from showing "Confirm Form Resubmission"? I've found an interesting resource here, the problem described in terms of browser caching, if the page is cached than it won't make a post at all, now it is interesting how to make my page cachable by default.
