i'm jquery ajax for cascading dropdown operations is works well.but my problem is whenever the button the clicked the second dropdown values is lost .......
note : i have placed two dropdownlist one for binding the class bind from server side code and second dropdown is for binding the division from client side using jquery ajax...
I work with dynamic webuser controls. Depending on a choice in a dropdownlist, I load the webuser controls from my database. In the Page_Load event, I load the controls. When the controls are loaded and a button is pressed, the values that are filled in,in the webuser controls' textboxes, must be saved in the database. when I click the button, the values of the textboxes are empty again. Here's my code:

Here when i click on button it insert all data into table but it didn't insert my selected item from dropdownlist it insert select city that i define in page_load

And when i delete this code from page load it insert in table first row of my table it didn't insert my selected item from dropdown list.
I having a problem with select values in DropDownList in button event, basically I have a Client form, one button will check of the Login user, case have the registry in data base it's go to load all client informations in the form, in this form I have one DropDownList which contain one coletion of brazilian states, in the event button it's go to stay selected in the correct field, how to select one field in button event onclick or load page event?

i have a asp.net application in which i an allocating memory to a class variable inside a button click.
When the function ends(button click) , that memory is deallocated automatically. Why this is happening

View 2 RepliesI have a form with a field which could be populated manually (by typing in it) or through a window.open popup window. The user just have to select the value in the window and it's written in the field of the parent window (all in javascript).
When I enter the value manually, all is fine. However, when I do it through the popup window the value is correctly written in the parent window and the popup is closed, but the click event of the submit button is not raised when i submit the form. The Page Load event is raised and the IsPostBack is set to false.
I have a Drodownlist , hich is being filled with data from tables at Page Load with the check that Postback is false. Now I want to insert the selected value of dropdownlist to the table, but after pressing the Submit button, its numeric value is getting lost and is substituted with a "" (blank). How do i persist its value.

Functionality works fine when entering a value in the textbox, tabbing out of the textbox and clicking on the save button. But issue comes up when entering a value in the textbox and directly clicking on the save button without tabbing out of the text box. In the second scenario, only textchanged event fires and save click event dosen't fire. What I was expecting was after exection of textchanged event, save click event should also fire. But this is not happening.

View 1 RepliesI have one Button (Refresh Button), One ComboBox (containing DEV and UAT as its items) and a GridView on my asp page.
I am filling up my Grid with values from database on the ComboBox's 'TextChanged' event and Buttons's 'Click' event.
First time when page is loaded, there is no information in the grid, but when i choose DEV/UAT from the ComboBox 'TextChanged' event is fired, the grid is filled with the relevant data. That is what i want.
When i click the Refresh Button to refresh the data again, first comboBox's 'TextChanged' event and then 'btn_Click' event is fired.
I want then when a button id pressed only 'Click' event to be fired and not the ComboBox's 'TextChanged' event.

It has it's own little "framework" and conventions for developers to follow when extending/customizing its functionality. I am currently extending some of it's administrative functionality, to which the framework provides a contract to enforce implementation of the GetAdministrationInterface() method, which returns System.Web.UI.Control. This method is called during the Page_Load() method of the page hosting the GUI interface.
Problem: I have three buttons in my GUI, each of which have been assigned an Event Handler. My administration GUI loads up perfectly fine, but clicking any of the buttons doesn't do what I expect them to do. However, when I click them a second time, the buttons work.
I placed breakpoints at the beginning of each event handler method and stepped through my code. On the first click, none of the event handlers were triggered. On the second click, they fired.
