I need to validate a digital signature which consists of thumb impression,signature and tokenid which is in pendrive with a columns of a table in sqlserver2008 database. I am using capicom.dll in asp.net 3.5 using c#.

I am going to start to work with electronic signatures for a website for my company. Whats best practices and/or implementations. Note, I am not asking for anyone to spoon feed me code. I would like to be able to use a usb signature pad and submit the signature to the website with it.

Now, my issue is how do I handle the next On_click event requesting for items under subproducts which will inturn calls the same onselectednodechanged method and how do I write condition to skip above steps to occur, since I need to build a different request on click of subproducts asking for items.

i just made an onmouseover and onmouseout event using javascript and called the functions from the asp image tag like <contol.....onmouseover="thissss()" /> my question is why do i need to write javescrit for this? have heard so much praise of asp.net and c#! is there a way that is code to handle these events for all types of object using the .cs file (c#) directly?? i would assume the code will be under the page load event.

View 3 RepliesI'm developing IP Blacklisting HttpModule in asp .net application and I found one very annoying thing. Each request to the asp net page generates tens of "subrequests" to application resources like images, client side scripts, styles etc.
Now in my application I'm listing to the BeginRequest event and when it is fired I'm loading Dictionary with blacklisted IPs from application cache and check user's IP against it. I've made a simple log of what is actualy happening during each page view, here are the results:

As you see, one request to Login page causes BeginRequest to fire 18 times, there is 18 dictionary loads, 18 lookups etc. That's not the way I want it to be.
Is there any other event that is raised only once per each request? Where do you place the blacklisting mechanism in your applications? I know I can do it through ISAPI filter, but the catch is, this site is on the shared hosting and I'm not sure I can use it on their IIS. Also I'm not sure if ISAPI filter can access some piece of cache with this blacklist (I don't want to load it from DB on each request, that's obvious).
I've created an array of buttons like static Button[] myButtons = new Button[3];
and then creating and adding buttons to my panel like myButtons[i] = new Button();
myPanel.Controls.Add(myButtons[i]);
in my code behind.
How can I handle the events that occurs when a user clicks these buttons, like using OnClick="myMethod" with regular buttons?

View 2 RepliesI have a user control that is dynamically added to a placeholder control inside an update panel in my main page. The user control has a linkbutton where I try to handle its Command event. The first time the link button is clicked after the user control loads, the form posts back but the command event handler does not execute, although the user control is still on the screen. The second and subsequent times the link button is clicked it works perfectly. When the user control first loads and I mouse over the link button, the browser status bar says: javascript: __doPostBack('ctl08$lbTest',''). After the first click, when I mouseover the link button the browser status bar shows javascript:__doPostBack('ctl07$lbTest',''). Why the changed in id, I can't figure but it must be why it is not hitting the event handler the first time it's clicked. Here is the cs code that loads the user control:

I have GridView control and assosiated DetailView control.
When the record form GridView is seleted, I am showing the details on DetailView.
I have set the Auto generated delete button to true. And now I want to delete the record when someone clicks the Delete button from DetailView control.

View 4 RepliesIn my View, there is a HTML button; I would like to execute a function from Controller when user clicks on that button. I need to pass a value from HTML textbox as parameters. My function will do some calculating and return the result back to the same View.
Let's make a simple example.
I would like to input "1" in my textbox, press the button, pass "1" to controller, and in the function, I will do something like 1+1. At the end, I will pass the result, which is "2" back to the View.
