I need to pull a SubString from a Linq Datasource, but can't use INTs per .SubString(int, int) I have strings such as xxxx.xxxx.xxxxx.AAAA.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxx and I need to pull AAAA out. the preceeding x's will be varying lengths, so I can't use a static int. What I do know is that there will be a static number of periods (.) leading up to the AAAA. I can't figure out how to use the SubSting with characters rather than indexs. This is what I have so far:
I want to validate complete Email address. I am not asking to match using pericular string. but suppose someone enter email id a@bnm.com then first the bnm should be validated and if such domain found then also it should check for such a@bnm.com is available or invalid.???
I have a web application (done in ASP/C#) that has regex validation on a text box. Initially the regex works perfectly fine. But then I also provide a button click event (clear) that allows the user the clear text box and change their input for a new query. At this point (page post back) the regex takes control and maintains control of the text box so a new query can't be run. Can anyone tell me what to do so that the regex doesn't fire on page postback and allows new input for validation?
i'm trying to find all the anchor tags and appending the href value with a variable. for example
<a href="/page.aspx">link</a> will become <a href="/page.aspx?id=2"> <A hRef='http://www.google.com'><img src='pic.jpg'></a> will become <A hRef='http://www.google.com?id=2'><img src='pic.jpg'></a>
I'm able to match all the anchor tags and href values using regex, then i manually replace the values using string.replace, however i dont think its the efficient way to do this.Is there a solution where i can use something like regex.replace(html,newurlvalue)
On my page load I want to find out the subdomain of the currently visited site, I got my [URL] into a string, now how can I use RegEx to just retreive "sub" out of the whole string? note that www may and may not be there every time.
When validating an email address with the regex validation component, an additional RequiredFieldValidator must be added to ensure there is a value present.
I've mostly taken care of this with a CustomFieldValidator, and taking care of this with Javascript.
I have a table Books with columns BookID, BookSummary, BookAuthor.
What I have stupidly done was to add a link to another url at the end of the BookSummary. Assuming the text is something like this:
This is a book about a love story in World War 2 in Europe. The book is written by Elliot James.
I have added
<a href='http=://XXXXXX'>Buy Book</a> at the end of the text making the final content of BookSummary to be like:
This is a book about a love story in World War 2 in Europe. The book is written by Elliot James.
<a href='http=://XXXXXX'>Buy Book</a>
I now need to write a code (via regex?) to read through each BookSummary, find the <a href='http://XXXXX'>Buy Book</a> and delete it. But the problem is the content in XXX could be anything and I cannot use typical string functions. Can anyone guide me to achieve this using Regex?
I am sending an email for forgot password to the user. i have formatted the body text of Email but when i have checked that email, it is coming without any formatting.
here is the formatting code which i am sending as a string.....
i need to display large amount of text on web page. I want the text to conform to the width of div column it is in and extend to the height based on the amount of text ...if text is too long then i want something like 'more' button,at the bottom of teh text and clicking that shows the rest of the text,kind of like newspaper column.
I have part of a project whereby I need to send 1 to up to 2000 emails from a webpage. One open source bug tracker used a Thread to send emails but it was riddled with bugs. So just want to know if anyone has any ideas of how I can create a procedure that send up to 2000 emails a go?
I was told by one of my colleagues to leave it as one process (normal routine sending one email at a time) as it won't take long to process all the emails anyway. Doesn't seem right and I want to use threading... maybe I like complex routines?
[Extra] I have something like: foreach(string email in emailAddresses) { MailMessage mailMessage = new MailMessage(); mailMessage.To.Add(...) ... SmtpClient client = new SmtpClient(); client.Send(mailMessage); }
string pattern = "<(.| )+?>"; System.Text.RegularExpressions.Regex regEx = new System.Text.RegularExpressions.Reg(pattern); string result = ""; result = regEx.Replace(htmlText, "");
In this "htmlText" will have some html code which also contains break tags. Right now its replacing all the html tags, but I want to leave break tag and replace the rest.
