I am in search to find a control that supports Flash (.swf - files).. Important is that the control is supported in moste Browsers
and important is also that it will be possible to click on this control to open up a new Browser with an URL attached.
What is commonly used for this purpose ?

Unfortunatelly I can't find any documentation on how to do this on the web and even Dino Esposito in his ASP.NET 2.0 Advanced Topics only handles one-way databinding (also the contact form on his blog isn't working). Can anyone provide me with documentation or samples on how to do this?

i need to know what control in asp .net 2.0 to use to get this layout:
i need to display 8 videos at a time using 2 rows with 4 columns, but the control should also have paging (to display 8 items per page).
i've thought of using a formview but the paging for formview is per one article content / datarow only.
i'm also thinking of using gridview but i am not so sure if i can get this layout.
I wanted to make a simple data-entry web application, thinking Dynamic Data would save me time.
But it turns out that the GridView doesn't even support basic user interface scenarios such as inserting a new row.
Since the project I'm building will incorporate this scenario a lot, I'm considering creating my own grid-view control that does exactly what I need.
Is it difficult to develop a web control that supports dynamic data? Are there a lot of complicated hooks that rely on closed-source functionality in the .NET framework?
Or is it as simple as making the control data-bindable and having a DataSourceObject property?
I am a student and i want to make online gaming website as a part of my academic project.
Now the problem that i am facing is that as it is an academic project i have to use downloaded swf games into my project . now i want to fetch the highest score for an individual for a particular game and i want to store that data into my database so that i can populate the list of high scorers for any particular game on my webpage.
I'm trying to add Embeded flash in aspx page running on iis 7.5 windows server 2008. When i'm adding the Embeded code src=/mylocation/test.swf it works fine. But when I'm adding fileserver location src="file:\c: est.swf the page doesn't load.
The code works fine in normal html file on my desktop.
I have done an multiple upload with uplodify jquery, but when i check it in a system with no flash player installed a blank area is present in the region of the uplodify flash button, how can i show the user some missing plug-in like in other sites to install latest flash player plug-in... or suggest some option to make upload possible in a button click (single/multiple) even when user don't have flash installed.

I'm trying to write a bit of code that will format all the numeric values in lables in my gridview. here's what i am doing right now:On the RowDataBound Event, i create a row object for the row that is currently being bound.then i go use the FindControl method to grab each label by name.Problem is there's too many columns in this table and i really dont wnat to have to type it all out. Can i use myRow.Controls to grab a list of all the controls and then somehow get a list of all labels in the collection and then use a for loop to go through and format each label?

I'm using the new Aurigma Image Uploader Flash control, and creating sample pages works great. However, when I drop this control onto an existing page on my existing site, it doesn't work. I can only suspect something in the masterpage or something else on the page is messing with it.

I have a flash on my page and I need to popup an ajax window, I use ModalPopupExtender. The problem is that ajax popup window always shows behind the flash in Internet explorer and Google Chrome. In firefox there are no such problem.

On the postback, I would like to use these textbox control ids to access the gridview row which contains them. Is there an efficient way to search a gridview on a child control id? I have a ListView control with a PlaceHolder control in its ItemTemplate. OnItemdataBound for the ListView control I am adding a custom UserControl to the Controls collection of the Placeholder control. It all renders fine. My problem is when I try to find my user controls in the Placeholder. I just can't get it back. My code is below.

I have a custom listbox control intern it has "hidden input server control".and i want assign values to that hidden control.That custom control is in table which runs at server.When i try to find hidden control using Page.Findcontrol and <tblserver>.findcontrol it is returing with null.Can you please help on this.
