Web Forms :: Get File Path Into Application Where File Is Located In Another Application?

i have two application suppose wwwroot/one and wwwroot/two.
there is one .aspx page on "one" application into which i want to get file(.xml) from application "two" and do some work on that file like save,edit,delete etc..
and than save that file into "two" application.
like
wwwroot/one/MyFile.aspx --> this is file into which i want to access aaa.xml file from application two/File where File is a folder. all file operation is here.
wwwroot/two/File/aaa.xml --> this is xml file which is reside in another application
I have a simple windows form app that I need to get the file path for. I am placing a config file in the same directory and I need to be able to get the path to that file.
I have used Application.CommonAppDataPath but that returns the path with 1.0.0.0 at the end.
and Applicaiton.StartupPath but that returns the path with indebug at the end
Is there anyway to get the path to just the main file directory without anything appended to the end?
I am running an exe file located at Server named Wget (Command line Web Crawler) using aps.net application.
When I run it from Visual Studio Development environment it run properly and gives required results.
But when I run it from the IIS Server its process run properly but terminated immediately and doesn't give required results and there is no any kind of exception.
I have a VS 2008 web application that I need to capture the full file path (directories and file name) from the selected file. So user selects a file and then clicks on one of the buttons which transfers control to my code for processing. So how do I get the file path? I can get the file name, but not the path.
i know that in window application how to give the path for executable file that started the application (if (!System.IO.File.Exists(Application.StartupPath + "gsdll32.dll")))
but i dont know how to give that path in web application using c#

I have a folder called GUI. Inside GUI thers another folder called PDF and inside this folder, there are some PDF files. This folder (GUI) is uploaded to the server too. Then I have a WebForm with some ImageButtons. When I click one of these ImageButtons, I want the file to open in a new tab. I tried with the following code:

As you can see, I build the path using the tooltips of the different ImageButtons. The ToolTip = File Name I want to open. When I try this in debug mode, it works. It opens the pdf file in a new tab. However when I publish my website and upload it to the server... it doesn't work... when I click an ImageButton I get the following exception: No application is associated with the specified file for this operation

I am using HTML file control and HTML image control in .aspx page (for uploading image and showing on web page). It is working fine. But I am unable to get that uploaded image file path and file name in .aspx.cs page. And also tell me how to save selected image in MS ACCESS database.

I have an iframe in one of my aspx files which is located in folder1.

The filename.aspx file is in folder2, so the above line throws an error..... Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.Requested URL: /folder1/filename.aspxso, its basically looking for the filename.aspx only in folder1, how can I make it point to the other folder. I tried iframe1.Attributes.Add("src","folder2/filename.aspx"), but its of no use.
When debugging my application, I m getting an application level error in global.asax file. The Server.GetLastError() reads "File does not exist." but thats it. No more details on the filename or the location where the code is trying to find a file. I commented out the application_error method, with a hope that the exception would be thrown when the debug the application, but no errors were thrown. How do i find the source of the error, cos I want to resolve this issue by either putting the file that the application is looking for or by completely removing the code that is referencing the file.
Am currently work on web application..sometime i need to run my project files from diffrent computers. everytime i run my application in different computers i have to set up data source connection. how can i avoid it? can i run the project from anywhere without set connection to database?how to make it?

I have a custom ASP.NET application that I utilize for several clients that I host. Each client has a separate domain and the application is normally a child application under the root domain [URL]. The application files are the same (aspx, ascx, style sheets, images, etc.). The only thing different is the web.config file for each client. As development of the application continues to evolve, I have to update the application for each directory and this obviously becoming tedious. I am trying to come up with a method keep the application up to date. My first though is placing the application into a single physical path and creating multiple applications pointing to that path (the problem with this method is I can't have different web.config files). I am curious as to what solution others are using in this scenario...
I'm trying to figure out how to save my XML file in the outside location.
I have a Main web app that uses an XML file as a datasource for one of it's pages. This XML file is generated manually by accessing a utuility page in the same app. I created a utility app that resides outside of the Main app ( it's on my C:/Inetpub/wwwroot) but it should save an XML file in the directory of the Main applicatoin. My utility works fine if I need to save to C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/XMLFiles) but I when I try to access the file at the Main application something like that:
It gives me an error: System.Web.HttpException: Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory. If I just type full URL it says that URI cannot be resolved.. How can I access that Tests.xml file to update it?
i hosted asp.net application in iis 7.. i can browse everything fine.. But while browsing in between i getting 404 error (file not found) even though the file
