i'm looking for a way to implement a simple ail merge with iTextSharp library.
I have data stored in database (addresses) and a pdf template.
I need to create a single pdf file where each page contains one address.
How can i do this?
I have all the data in excel/or some of database which has forexample to and from email addresses,names etc. I need to Mail Merge data into Word Document and this word document should be editable for any additions or modifications. Need to have the ability to type in the text or attach an attachment. should be filled with all the To,CC,subject fields from database/excel sheet and send an email. I need all this on a web page so i can distribute this webpage url to the user and he can get all this.
Is there any way to do this and if some one provide me some links to work on this or send me some code for this. I really donot have any idea and need to start from starch on how to accomplish this task.
I want to implemet mail merge with my on going project, I know well how send news letters to authorized clients, but need to do it with mail merge like the email from this forum.
View 1 RepliesWhat is the best way to do this. I dont have access to the database since it is firewalled. It needs to be done throught the web interface. I can generate a csv file and plug it into the word document, but it seems cumbersome to me. Is there any better way to do this?

Some of the image urls are not directly to an image, but rather direct you to a .aspx page which displays the image. (includes a parameter with the id, and when you view the url in a browser you can see the image.) When I run the below code, I get an error that the image url in not a recognized image format.

Currently I have set up .dot template files with bookmarks and then use COM to open these files pass the data and save. I can then stream the file to the users desktop. The issue i have is that to get this working when i release it is by installing Wrord on the server which I would prefer not to do.

I am looking at the twitter api page http://apiwiki.twitter.com/ and I noticed that they have already built libraries that are wrappers against the twitter api. So I am thinking this is the best way to go but I am unsure which C# library I should use.
What I am trying to do is make some simple service or cmd line application that will help me automate retweeting.
So I am looking for a library that will allow me to get posts from other twitter accounts and then retweet them from another account.
I am not sure if the library can do this or not. Otherwise I was thinking of getting the RSS feed from the twiter account I want to get the twitters from parse out the new ones and use a library to retweet them on my own account.
I have not used twitter much so I am hopping someone can shed some light on this.

If I configure their email id to "from" MailAddress and send the mail, it will fail to do so if the ID is from popular mail domains like gmail or hotmail but would work with other unpopular or non existent domains like me@abcxyzmail.om without any credentials provided!
It worked with gmail after I configured SMTP and network credentials properly. I don't know if it has to be with my application but the thing is that I created a registration form, when the user registers an automatic mail from my mail account at my hosting site is send to the mail account the user input.
The code is working I have tested it with a Hotmail and Yahoo account but Gmail is not receiving.
It is important to say that Hotmail and Yahoo receive the email at the junk mail folder, but Gmail not receives it in any folder. I check my mail account for bouncebacks but there is no problem.
If I change the code to send mails from my gmail account no matter what mail account the user inputs it will receive the mail. I've already contacted my hosting site support but they say they can't find any problem.
I've already waited 48 hours because maybe gmail account would take longer to receive the email but I haven't received it.

I've built several websites on my local machine and have successfully tested sending mail from within the application, but suddenly the mail won't go anywhere! I have a try-catch routine, and I'm getting the message that the mail has been sent successfully but it's not going anywhere.
