I've defined node styles for my TreeView instance in markup (using <LevelStyles> for example). Everything renders correctly in IE7/8 but, when rendering in Chrome, Safari or FireFox, the styles are not being applied. From looking at the source code for the page, I can see that the various runtime css classes are being injected into the top of the page, but the class attributes on the <a> tags (within the generated TreeView HTML) are empty (class=""). In IE, the class attributes contain references to the classes that were injected into the page.
Can anyone explain why this is happening? I can see no logical explanation for this, and it's a big issue - My client primarily uses Safari, as they're Mac based.

Using C# in the ASPX file, I define a grid:
<asp:GridView ID="GridView1" runat="server" AutoGenerateColumns="False"
OnRowDataBound="OnRowDataBound"
BorderStyle="Double" Caption="Club's Dashboard"
CaptionAlign="Top" Width="292px" EnableTheming="False"
HorizontalAlign="Left" CellPadding="5">
<HeaderStyle BackColor="Fuchsia" Wrap="False" />
<RowStyle HorizontalAlign="Center" Wrap="False" />
<columns>
<asp:boundfield datafield="B2" headertext="." htmlencode="false"/>
<asp:boundfield datafield="PRPT" headertext="TestA<br/>TestB" htmlencode="false"/> ........ Notice the .<.b.r././.> TAG between "TestA" and "TestB"
</columns>
</asp:GridView>
In the ASPX.CS file I define a datasouce and manually populate it.
DataColumn MDC = new DataColumn();
MDC.AllowDBNull = false;
MDC.AutoIncrement = true;
MDC.AutoIncrementSeed = 1;
MDC.AutoIncrementStep = 1;
MDC.ColumnName = "B2";
MDC.DataType = System.Type.GetType("System.String");
MDC.Unique = false;
MDT.Columns.Add(MDC);
MDC = new DataColumn();
MDC.ColumnName = "PRPT";
MDC.DataType = System.Type.GetType("System.String");
MDT.Columns.Add(MDC);
I then manually fill each row:
DR = MDT.NewRow();
DR["B2"] = "Test1<br/>Test2";
DR["PRPT"] ="Test3<br/>Test4";
MDT.Rows.Add(DR);
When the Grid is viewed using IE - both the Header and the data rows properly display the cells with multiple lines. When displayed using Firefox or Safari - only the Header utilizes multiple lines - the data rows are on a single line ---- "Test1Test2" what needs to be done to display multiple lines in all three browsers.

I am using a bunch of SliderExtenders to morph the ASP Textbox into a Slider control. This has worked great. However, I noticed that 1/20 times, occasionally, the sliderextender fails to morph the textbox. So the textbox actually appears during initial page_load. However, you can still drag the slider around because it is also rendered beneath the textbox.
A subsequent page refresh fixes this problem until some other time.
Second thing, this also frequently comes out more when switching between a javascript tab and an updatepanel.

I have tried searching for the answer but have failed to get any insight into this problem. Look at the following two examples. [URL] (JQuery modal dialog without <input> element) Above pages have very simple JQuery modal dialog, whihc displays correctly in IE, Chrome, Safari and Opera. Unfortunately, Firefox does not display the modal dialog with <input> correctly. It displays the other one correctly. I have tried the following without resolution to this peculiar problem:
- Changed doctype
- Used <table> to enclose <input>
- Used <div> to enclose <input>
- Used all possible CSS display attributes for <input>

I am trying to import a csv file but unable to split the line string correctly.
DIM fields() as String = line.split(",")
Where the sample data is as below
1,"khdaf",2,"hello,world,hi","2154",5412
1,"khdaf",3,"hello,hi","2154",5412
Issue is that when i split first line it gives me array of eight(08) whereas actual columns are six (06)

I have read some articles about the new enitity framework and I think it looks very cool from a development perspective.
considering a production environment loaded with data. How does one apply changes to the model? You cannot regenerate the model and in most large organizations, database changes are executed by DBS's and not developers. In such situaitons, it is the role of the developer to develop delta-scripts that the dba can execute.
My experiense with Hibernate (Java) and the like is that you have to pay double when using such frameworks.

I set the line in code for debug and while running it does not stop there. So I use System.Diagnostics.Debugger.Break(). Sometimes it stops and sometimes the debugger shows a blank screen. All use the same inputs.

When I auto format cshtml files (Ctrl+K, Ctrl+D), the {} of an if/foreach/for don't line up under the @if correctly
[Code]....
instead of
[Code]....
Is this being fixed? Just a note that in my small example, it isn't bad. But if the @if is really indented, the braces are way far to the left.

In my case, I want to suppress Save dialog box and save the file on other location using c# coding. I mean I want to save a PDF file behind the scene.

I've never had this problem before, I'm at a total loss.
I have a SQL Server 2008 database with ASP.NET Forms Authentication, profiles and roles created and is functional on the development workstation. I can login using the created users without problem.
I back up the database on the development computer and restore it on the production server. I xcopy the DLLs and ASP.NET files to the server. I make the necessary changes in the web.config, changing the SQL connection strings to point to the production server database and upload it.
I've made sure to generate a machine key and it is the same on both the development web.config and the production web.config.
And yet, when I try to login on the production server, the same user that I'm able to login successfully with on the development computer, fails on the production server.
There is other content in the database, the schema generated by FluentNHibernate. This content is able to be queried successfully on both development and production servers.

In my Visual Studio 2008 web site, I created a new folder named Reporting. Then one of my web pages creates an xml file in this new folder when the user clicks a button. The user then clicks another button and the xml file displays in the browser. This all works fine on my development PC. But if I publish this web site to my production server, it does not work. I get an error when I click the first button to create my xml file. The error reads: Could not find part of the path 'c:windowssystem32inetsrvReportingabc.xml' What must I do so that this works on my development PC and also my production server?

I have a vertical menu placed on top of (z-Index) a background image. The background appears nicely on my development server but does not appear on the production server. I have deleted all folders and file from the appropriate directory on the production server and copied all files and folders from the dev server to the production server to no avail. I figure that there must be a setting blocking this functionality on the production server or perhaps that older version (Server 2003) does not support this function.Oh, I have been attempting to add 2 PNG images to this post but cannot succeed.

I have created my site using ASP.NET Personal Starter Kits 3.5. I use Visual Studio 2008 only . .with its built-in SQL Server (2005 Express) ... my database in App_Data is ASPNETDB.MDF ...
I have created some of my tables also ....in ASPNETDB ..
In my local PC the site was running fine ...
But when I publish my site on production server it doesn't work and shows the following error
<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>
Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.
<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>

<add name="ConnectionString" connectionString="Data Source=69.16.253.19;Initial Catalog=usa_data;Persist Security Info=True;User Id=user;Password=pass" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"/>
My hosting provider gave me the connection string to connect to the SQL Server 2005 but it doesn't work...
I don't understand why my site was running fine using the production SQL Server 2005 in my local PC when I include ASPNETDB.MDF file in App_Data in my local pc only ..if I remove file ASPNETDB.MDF from App_Data of my local pc ... the site stops working ...
Can anybody tell em how to fix this ... !! I am very tensed since last 3-4 days

I am working on the migration of the server. Our new server is Windows server 2008 with IIS7.0 I have a great difficulty in browsing the pages hosted in virtual directories. I have followed the proper steps of creating a virtual directories and converting them into applications. But when i try to browsing the pages of the virtual directory, i get the 404 error. Note: The .Net Framework 4.0 is installed on the server and the web applications which i am trying to configure in the virtual directories are developed in Visual Studio 3.0. Even the http://localhost also don't work.

I am having issues debugging locally within Visual Studio 2010 on Server 2008 R2 (x64) for a new ASP.Net MVC application. I am able to debug using the VS Development Server (Cassini) but when I change to use the Local IIS Web Server and Create Virtual Directory, I am unable to debug. I get the standard VS message:
"Unable to start debugging on the web server. The web server is not configured correctly. ..."
Everything looks standard in IIS. The Default Web Site is running under the ASP.NET v4.0 application pool. The virtual directory that Visual Studio created is running under the same app pool. I am running Visual Studio as the Administrator account. It feels like some security setting or something is preventing this to work but I'm at a loss to what it could be.
