I run my page for the first time everything runs perfect. I move to other pages of the grid still perfect. Then i move to other aspx page and then come back. The page loads perfect with the old page number there still perfect. Now if i press any image button then the text change event fires which should not fire.
Note: i need the text change event as i user randomly enters something in the text box then i have to handle that.
Example:
When i return from the other aspx page then the value in the Page Number text box is lets say 4. Then i press the Back image button and a post back happens. The Value in Text box is still the same 4. Then y the event is firing ???
I am not understanding that why this event is firing. On the page load, i retrieve the values from hash table (The hash table is stored in session in base page) and from the hash table i get the pageNo and assign it to the page No text box.

View 4 RepliesI am using a generic handler (indicator.ashx) to create a graphic that is overlayed from information from a table (called LIVE) from our SQL database. This is working very well and I am very happy with the results.
However I am having an undesirable issue where the query string that is used for this is also being accessed by another page (called ReceiveLive.aspx) which is populating our LIVE table with data when we don't want this. I have been able to track this issue down to our generic handler that seems to populate this table with data whenever the handler is accessed.
The query string that is used to access our graphic through our generic handler is
http://mydomain.com/indicator.ashx?ID=ABC001.
Our other page that writes data to our LIVE database used the query string
http://mydomain.com/live.aspx?ID=ABC001 which is normally only accessed by a small piece of software that sits on the users PC and sends the data when necessary.
My question is this: How do I prevent data from being written to our LIVE table via the Live.aspx page everytime a query string is processed by my indicator.ashx is accessed?

SetEditDataFlag() -- it is a javascript function. When I browse the application in chrome then this function is not called when i changed some value on the textbox.Its working properly in IE.
I am using ajax CascadingDropDown with DropDown List, I am having 2 Dropdown list based on that selection Gridview is displayed. It work perfectly
The problem is when i change the 2nd Dropdown list then both Dropdown list blinks and again load the values.

Now i am learning mvc3 razor. I create a razor mvc project and set a vitural webapp in IIS7 for it , as "localhost/mvc3/". When i do some changes on .cshtml trying to check effects I just find that corresponding page doesn't change even refresh browser. I am not quit familar with the rule & principle on this.
BTW : this post page seems have severe problem because I cannot use the message editor in Chrome / IE9beta : they just leave a stubborn blank area for me.

how to change the background color of a selected menu item? The background color changes on the word of the dropdown menu but not the entire row section of the menu item. Each menu item has a different word length but I want the background
