How To Show The Search Control On Clicking Of Menu
May 29, 2010my project is related to tour and travels, i have created menus which are on masterpage, it contains, Home | hotel| bus| car etc... menus when i move pointer to hotel it will show me submenus like, add new hotel, modify hotel ,delete hotel etc... but one thing i want to do when i click on hotel menu it should display me the searchscreen for hotel searching i have created usercontrol for hotel searching, i have register that control on index.aspx page of masterpage. but the problem is that when i run that project before showing menus it shows error "Object expected" after clicking on ok button it displays menus, then i move pointer on any menu it will not show me the submenu while if i haven't register the search usercontrol and run the website it will show me submenus properly and one more thing if i select the search criteria and click on save button it again shows me same error "object expected" why it gives me error?

Jan 7, 2010I am attempting to create a vertical menu (currently using the asp.menu control with membership) on 1 masterpage. This all works great, but I want the submenu items to display statically under the main topic AFTER the page is posted back. Meaning, if I have main items A,B, and C, when I click on item B, it goes to the B page and shows all the subtopics under B. The subtopics should be statically displayed and phsically located under the selected topic. I have tried the css friendly adapters, jquery examples, accordion samples, and a jquery tree menu. None worked very good, and I don't know enough javascript/jquery to create it by hand. The closest I could get was the jquery treeview, but it didn''t work very well. This has been a frustrating search and I have learned how difficult custom menu navigation is in asp.net.

Mar 17, 2010We have to develop an application which has a Vertical left pane menu control which displays all the web pages (A,B,C say). Now if user is in page A and filled some data and clicks on menu control to go to page B, all the data in page A needs to be saved. Also if all the required field in page A are not filled and user navigated to page B, there will be one ! sign after the menu so that user can understand that there some some more fields need to be filled up.
We are planning to place the menu control in the Mater page. Please give me some direction to do this. My question is:

Sep 2, 2010I am doing a rework on one of my sites and I am attempting to use the asp:menu control.
I am using images in the static and dynamic menus. Hard coded at this point.
On my local machine it works fine but when I upload to the server, the image on the dynamci menus do not appear.
Instead I just get white space where the images should be.

Jul 28, 2010I know that the code depicted below will not work but I am including it to convey the idea of what I wish to accomplish. I want to use a different SiteMap to construct the menu on the displayed page for each of three different classes of service (COS).
I set a session variable named "COS" at the login and want to test its value prior to rendering each page. I want to display a menu based upon the appropriate COS. Here is my first stab at it but I know that I cannot include <asp:...> controls within the "case" statements. Can anyone suggest methods of doing this? I know C# and can use that but I do not know how to select the proper sitemap within the <menu> control. I am also using a CSS in my production version.
