Web Forms :: Trying To Submit Text Box With Html Code Inside It?
Jul 12, 2010
I receive a potentially dangerous request.form value was detected from the client when trying to submit text box with html code inside it I turn ValidationRequest="false" in the page and in the web config file also I put this settings <httpRuntime requestValidationMode="2.0"> but I still get the error, I'm using ASP.Net 4 with Visual Studio 2010.
I am having problem retrieving html text value within FCKeditor upon submit form. My submit mvc model alway null value.Do anyone how retrieve html text value withing FCKeditor and put into mvc model upon form submit?
Field "image1_path" has value "myPic.jpg". If possible, I need to parse this field within the html so that I can add "_3" to the name of the file, and then add the extension. The new string would be "myPic_3.jpg".
I don't want to touch the codebehind or the database.
I have several text boxes on a page that need to be filled out. When users fill out those boxes they need the ability to enter in bold, italics, superscripts, and trademarks. It has been recommended to use a WYSIWYG. The problem with a WYSIWYG is that it is all tied to 1 large text box. I just need a panel on the side that can hold Bold, Italics buttons to transform whatever text the user has selected to be Bolded/Italicized and then I need to be able to add in predetermined Superscripts and Trademarks where the cursor is as defined by the user. Now this would work with a WYSIWYG but I need this to apply to several (sometimes up to 10 fields on a page) text boxes on a page.
So I'm trying to implement the delete selected button.. How exactly do i point to the specific checkbox for a particular row from codebehind when all 3 have the same name chkSelected? I know how to do it with a gridview, but not quite sure how if we do it with a for loop..
Can I do something like this inside btnDelete_Click?
But I can't figure out the way to write back to the same display from code behind. In other words, I need to send a message back to the textbox from code behind. Because I did not defined the tbdisplay to runat="server", I can't see the control tbdisplay. Also, I can't run the tbdisplay at server because the keyboard doesn't work.
I know that I can htmlencode and decode server side with ASP.Net, but i've run into an issue if I want to work with some of my forms that should allow html tags when working out side of my companies network. The issue is with my companies firewall tests for cross site scripting attacks. So, now I need to encode/decode my text on the client side it would seem. What does the rest of the world use and/or do to overcome issues like this?
i have a issue that i can't get it to work i have a first page of a website and the page have several button (login, search, newsletterdignup) next to each button there is a textbox to write the data i want to be able to assign each button to the correct box when i press "enter" key in my keyboard for exmple if i type something in search box and press "enter" on my ketboard (what most pepole do when they search something ) i want it to triger the search button onclick event or if i am typing the user name and the password and click "enter" key in my keyboard i want to trigger the onclick event under the login button.
I have a web application where users are permitted to submit their resumes. When the form is submitted, the data is inserted into a new record in an SQL table. One of the fields in the form allows them to copy and paste their entire resume text into a TextBox control, which is inside the InsertItemTemplate of a FormView. This particular control is bound to a column in the SQL table that's of datatype nvarchar(MAX). It works, but there are no line breaks and when viewed the resume is just one long continuous block of text. How can I change this so that line breaks are preserved? Do I need to use something like a "cute editor" control? And finally, how do I protect against malicious code? The insert query is parameterized, and the FormView refers to an insert method in a TableAdapter in my dataset.
I have a form that I am using with jquery for an application... everything is working fine but I have one issue....I do not want the form to submit when the user presses the enter key... if they press the enter key it will reset the whole sequence and I am running through an array that is placed in the system memory of the client(client-side javascript)is there a way to capture this event properly? Are there other ways that could submit the form?
I've got a little problem with trimming my textboxes. I know how to loop throw all textboxes but i dont know how i get the text trimmed when user klick on submit-button,cause i dont know how to get the name of the respective textbox.
i have a textBox and i set it to MultiLine.i want to know is there some way to get the text inside of text box with a format like, user will type some text in it and mack some brack in text and i want to get the text as like as inside of textBox with those bracks.normaly all with textBox1.Text i get the text in one line
depending on the No. of the photos the code will be duplicated in the loop
Then I will display the result of the loop in label or in a textarea to let the user copy it any where
The problem is that while compiling my code it considers the HTML code as a part of the behind file and gives errors on the single quote, the double quote and on the parentheses
I need to collect the data entered by user for a quote and send all the data with labels to an email address. SMTP server is set up in web.config file, but I need to know the code behind for the submit button click event for the form. I do not need to store any data in a data base just need to send each label, field, radiobutton, etc. user responses to email address. All of the code I have been able to find has not applied to my situation.
I can't write in english well, but I must try to have an answer for my problem.I have a problem that I have not found a solution, regarding the integration of C # code in the HTML code .aspxI want to do a loop on the
<ajaxToolkit:TabPanel of <ajaxToolkit:TabContainer to have several tabs by a few existing data in a DB table.
Here is a moceau of my code:
[Code]....
This code gave me this error:
Message d'erreur de l'analyseur: 'TabPanel_<%= idMagasin %>' n'est pas un identificateur valide.Translation: Message parser error: 'TabPanel_ <% = idMagasin%>' is not a valid identifier.I removed idmagasin like this:
Translation: System.ArgumentException: An entry with the same key already existsThe result is that I found a great problem to insert a C # code in the HTML code .aspx unlike others languages like PHP.
We are having a problem with the educators clicking the wrong submit button. On one of the buttons we wanted to underline and set the font to bold on the words "Do Not". This is the code I have so far.
<%MsgButton = "Click here if you "%> <strong><u> <% MsgButton = MsgButton & " Do Not "%> ' I am sure the problem is on this line, but I do not know the syntax </strong></u> <% MsgButton = MsgButton & "Attend Anthony or Canutillo High School!"%> <Input Type="Submit" Name="BV1" Value="<%=MsgButton%>"
The words Do Not are not underlined or shown as Bold. Is this possible to do?
I have 5 questions to rate a product. These questions are in the database and I disply these questions to the customer in a GRIDVIEw. In order to make the rating easy, I give a tool like this- This tools is part of GridView in a TEMPLATE Field. A set of 5 stars will be available against each question. The user can rate each question by selecting the stars. Now, when the user clicks on the SUBMIT button, I want to receive the 'CURRENT RATING'. At present I am giving- Rating1.CurrentRating But, this doesn't give me any value because the rating tool is inside GRIDVIEW1. So, what changes should I make in Rating1.CurrentRating to receive the current rating value.
I think I need to drop in some escape characters, but I'm not quite sure where. Here is the javascript function I'm attempting to call:
function setData(associateValue, reviewDateValue) { var associate = document.getElementById("Associate"); var reviewDate = document.getElementById("ReviewDate"); associate.value = associateValue; reviewDate.value = reviewDateValue; }
Here is the asp .net mvc line where I'm attempting to create a Radio button with a click event that calls the above function and passes data from the model as javascript parameter values.
<%= Html.RadioButton("Selected", item.Selected, new { onClick="setData('<%=item.Associate%>','<%=item.ReviewDate%>' )" } )%>
The above throws a bunch of compile issues and doesn't work. A call such as the following does call the javascript, but doesn't get the data from the model.
