View 3 Repliesi am using this code to reset all my textboxes and Dropdowmlists after the button is clicked:
void resetField(object myObj)
{
//RadioButton rl;
string temp = myObj.GetType().ToString();
switch (myObj.GetType().ToString())
{
case "System.Web.UI.WebControls.TextBox":
((TextBox)myObj).Text = "";
break;
case "System.Web.UI.WebControls.DropDownList":
((DropDownList)myObj).SelectedValue = "N/A";
break;
default:
break;
}
}
i have tested this code and it works great separately .. the only difference is on my project i have DIV, tables, TABs and ContentPlaceHolder. not sure if this can make this code not working.. i am not getting any error..but nothing is happening.
How can I achieve the desired effect?
Here's the code:
<% if(!String.IsNullOrEmpty(%><%#Eval(Container.DataItem,"OrderXml");%><%)){ %>
etc., which is placed inside of an ItemTemplate inside of a TemplateColumn. In the CodeBehind page I will bind a value to the OrderXml field, which occasionally is NULL.
Unfortunately I get compilation errors.
I uploaded asp.net website in filezilla when I am trying to access that it is displaying code instead of page..
View 1 RepliesI have this code in my html:
<asp:Image runat="server" ID="imgProduct" src='<%# "images/ads/" + Eval("key1") + "/" + Eval("image1_path") %>' alt='<%# Eval("title") %>' />
Field "image1_path" has value "myPic.jpg". If possible, I need to parse this field within the html so that I can add "_3" to the name of the file, and then add the extension. The new string would be "myPic_3.jpg".
I don't want to touch the codebehind or the database.
Is this possible?
I receive a potentially dangerous request.form value was detected from the client when trying to submit text box with html code inside it I turn ValidationRequest="false" in the page and in the web config file also I put this settings <httpRuntime requestValidationMode="2.0"> but I still get the error, I'm using ASP.Net 4 with Visual Studio 2010.

I have a question about asp.net
I have this table with checkbox for each row:
[URL]
table code inside the ASPX page:
[URL]
So I'm trying to implement the delete selected button.. How exactly do i point to the specific checkbox for a particular row from codebehind when all 3 have the same name chkSelected? I know how to do it with a gridview, but not quite sure how if we do it with a for loop..
Can I do something like this inside btnDelete_Click?
[Code]....
I am trying to display contents of a folder in a hyperlink. I am using masterpage also. The hyperlinks are not shown into the content page. what to do for that?
I know in windows forms we can use like TextBox.Location=new Point(100,100);
But how to do in web page..
my coding in page_load is
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
DirectoryInfo di = new DirectoryInfo(Server.MapPath("~/ProjectsUpload"));
int i = 0;
foreach (FileInfo fi in di.GetFiles())
{
HyperLink HL = new HyperLink();
HL.ID = "HyperLink" + i++;
HL.Text = fi.Name;
HL.NavigateUrl = "downloading.aspx?file=" + fi.Name;
Page.Controls.Add(HL);
Page.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("<br/>"));
}
}
way to write a comment at particular place in HTML from C#? For example, after a particular label? I can write a comment as follows:
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Response.Write("<!-- " + ... " -->");
}
but this appears before the DOCTYPE. I'd like to write it at a particular place, or at least in the "body".Thinking about it, I guess I could create a comment label at the beginning of the body and write it there:
Label1.Text = "<!-- " + ... " -->";
Is there a way to make sure it is in the body if I do not have a Label already defined for the purpose.
Can I place a asp:datalist inside a repeater control and databind it for each time its repeated? Using VB.NET btw..

I am working with a pretty complicated .aspx page that is full of controls (Telerik, Ajax, etc.) that all expand, collapse, show, hide, etc. when the page is loaded. Since this rendering happens on the client-side and can take different lengths of time based on the users machine specs, is there a way to detect when all (or some) rendering has taken place (jQuery?) so I can then act on specific elements, knowing they are fully rendered?

StringBuilder strHTMLContent = new StringBuilder();
trHTMLContent.Append("<table style='font-family:Times New Roman; font-size:18px;'>".ToString());

I am getting a serialization error trying to use Session State Server instead of InProd. However, I can't figure out what is causing the error in session. I was given some code to add to the page to loop through the session object and figure out if each item in it is serializable. My problem is I don't know where to place the code in the ASP.NET page. In tracing through the code, the error just appears after steping through objects outside of the page and not when setting session. There must be some place that I can place the code on the page that is after all session objects are set but before the page will error. Where would that be?

I want to find a place to put my Google Analytics code in my ASP.NET web application. I would like to place it somewhere once and not have to copy and paste the code into multiple files. Is there somewhere that I could inject it that I would only have to include it once and all pages would be effected? I am not using MasterPages unfortunately.
