Web Forms :: Validation Expression Or Any Other Way To Check A Birthdate Entered To Ensure The Date
Feb 6, 2010
Is there a validation expression or any other way to check a birthdate entered to ensure the date entered makes the person "at least xx years of age" as of the current date? We have a registration form that asks the birthdate and we need to have a date validation that 'error messages' the user if they are under the minimum age.
send me regular expression for this format (DD/MM/YYYY).E.g.--23/12/2009,1/12/2009,1/1/2009.It should accept all the 3 formats..I want regular ex. code only.No other solution.
The following reguular expression doesn't trigger a message if a user only puts in just spaces. It will trigger if a person starts with a space and puts in another character. How can I modifiy it?
in my application i have to entrer the date into a textbox. and i'm using a Ajax Tool Kit Calendar control to select the date and is put into a Text Box.the date format should be MM/dd/yyyy i have the regular expression for dd/MM/yyyy format.
I am using Regular Expression validator for a text box. The below is working fine.It is not performing validation when I enter values like 0000..001.How can I modify validation expression? But it would allow values like 100,...5000 i.e zeros after a number.
<asp:RegularExpressionValidator ID="reg2" runat="server" ControlToValidate="rng2" ValidationExpression="^[0-9]+" ErrorMessage="*Please Enter a Valid Number for Second Range." ForeColor="Red" Font-Bold="True"></asp:RegularExpressionValidator>
I'm having trouble accomplishing the above. Below is all the mark up and code. I'm not getting error messages, but the validate image function is not working (fileupload portion is working ok).
In my attempt below---not sure if it's the simplest or best validation approach anyway---the "UserId" parameter appears during rendering to be empty---but in most methods I have it successfully containing or referring to the logged-in user's identification.
Following is the control that refers to the image field (page = advertisement.aspx):
This one is probably snap for one for you gurus. I have a SQL table that needs to have every previous date accounted for. The user is not required to submit an entry daily, but is allowed to go back and submit when they have extra time to do so. I would like to display the next day from last date recorded in the SQL Table as a session variable, so when they go to the form to submit, the last necessary date is shown and the user knows where they left off.
When a user enters a value I want to check against the other values in the database before allowing the record to be inserted.
It is a nvarchar type column.
Is it best to use a unique constraint (if so, how) or what would be the way to programatically check to make sure this name does not exist. It is not a username, just a name value that will be used in routing.
In the registration page of my project i want to check whether the enterd userid is available in database or not without sendig the whole page to server and i made userid as a primery key.
I need some help in regular expression.I am validating the textbox text when updating the records. When i click the update button, the first 5 letters should be equal to CM000 or cm000.How to validate this using regular expression in asp.net. does anyone know validationexpression for this.
I am developing a page where i have a grid in content page (inherited from master page) which i am populating using DATASET in code behind like this here is the aspx.

As you can see i have some bound fields and one template field called "txtValue" which is the only input in gridview. Now what i want is when user input the value it should check the FACEVALUE and see if the entered value is not above the FACEVALUE and then need to Input value - FACEVALUE and result should be displayed in REMAINING field which is also a template field as label control.
Here is what I'm trying to achieve: The user enters in the textbox a date. It can be: 20.04.2010 or 20/04/2010 or 01Apr2010 or Apr 01 2010...
Any other formats should be forbidden. When the user leaves the textbox then the date should be displayed as 01-Apr-2009. I already tried but I got only when am entering the numbers only like (21-04-2010) but I want to entering the string like apr, jan, nov .
I have one text box for accepting date. I want to store date column inĀ database is null when the text box value is null and how to bind the this null value to text box when i retrieve.
I have a detailsview with an update button one of the update fields is a checkbox which when is checked I want to automatically update a date field of when the checkbox was checked, am I going the right way with this code....... as I am getting a number of errors
Dim i As Integer For i = 0 To detailsview2.Rows.Count - 1 Step i + 1 Dim row As GridViewRow = GridView1.Rows(i) [code]....
i used below code for date time picker validation but it's not working.
Actually I want a date time picker which date dd/mm/yyyy format date. With validation for start and end date. Also for manual entry it should take only no. and for date rest like / or, will be auto formatted.means user should not be able to enter it.
i have two textboxes and 1 button and label1 in my asp.net webform. when i enter Sumit in textbox1 and 23 in textbox2 then it validates the database to check whether then value entered in textbox1 is present in Name column of database and 23 is present in Age column of database....then it redirect to ~.Default2.aspx else shows error message in label.
In the new user registration page, how to check whether the email id entered by a user is valid? I want to check the entered email id actually exists before the user submits his information. do not give code for checking email id string using regular expression, I want to check whether the entered email id actually exists.
Is there a way to check a textbox by using a regular expression without using the <asp:RegularExpressionValidator> ? I have a few buttons on my page, and any onclick is causing the regular expression to execute. I want it to work only for the final submission button. Can I check with C#?
