I've added textbox in one culumn.In this textbox the user enters a nubmer and then clicks the link in the same row to add that item to his shopping card.the number in the textbox shows the number of the item he wants. now the bloblems are:

I have a label lblCountCharacter with text "4000" and a textbox txtAddNote where users can enter text.
On entering one character in txtAddNote, the label text is decreased by one.
write a function for this in asp.net using C#.
On my current form I have it validating a Canadian Postal Address (xxx xxx). The space is optional but if the user does not use a space, then once the validation passes it will insert one. How can I count the first 3 characters of the textbox, insert a space, then add the rest of the characters?

As you can see i have some bound fields and one template field called "txtValue" which is the only input in gridview. Now what i want is when user input the value it should check the FACEVALUE and see if the entered value is not above the FACEVALUE and then need to Input value - FACEVALUE and result should be displayed in REMAINING field which is also a template field as label control.

How can I set a asp.net text box to accept up to 20 characters? I was trying the range validator and I set it up to 0 min value and 20 max value. The prolem is that if I write 12933, the range validator errors appear saying "only 20 characters allowed" so I think it is adding the values.
