I'm working on a web form that submits data to a database. I'm using C# as my code behind language and am using LINQ to SQL with a LINQ data source. I'm working in the code-behind page to format/concatenate the user's data before going into the database.
Everything looks like it's formatted and aligned correctly. I am not receiving any errors or warnings, but on submission none of my data gets entered into the database.
My question is... how should I troubleshoot or go about finding out what's keeping my data from being entered into the db.

i have two textboxes and 1 button and label1 in my asp.net webform. when i enter Sumit in textbox1 and 23 in textbox2 then it validates the database to check whether then value entered in textbox1 is present in Name column of database and 23 is present in Age column of database....then it redirect to ~.Default2.aspx else shows error message in label.

Jul 5, 2010I have a table called 'Customer' that contains customer information. One of the fields is named "CustomerType". Each record in the 'Customer' table will contain the value of either "C", "I", or "O".
I have a form that contains a "check box list" named "Type". There are 3 values in the "check box list". The values are "C", "I", and "O". The user can select one or more of these values. I have a button on the form named "btnRunQuery.
When the user clicks on the button "btnRunQuery" I want to exectute a query that selects the records contained in the "Customer" table where the value in the field "CustomerType" equal the values the user selected in the "check box list". Example: If the user selected "C" and "O", then I want the select query to select all records that contain either "C" or "O" in the field "CustomerType".
I assume that what I need to do is to capture the values that the user selected in the "check box list" and put them in a variable. Then I need to format the "Where" statement in the query and add a "Parameters.AddWithValue" command.

Now what i want is when user input the value it should check the FACEVALUE and see if the entered value is not above the FACEVALUE and then need to Input value - FACEVALUE and result should be displayed in REMAINING field which is also a template field as label control.

Nov 17, 2010I am working on a page where the user first selects a state from a drop down, then a city from a checkbox list (eventually able to select multiple cities, but have to figure out how to do one first). The checkbox list is dependent upon the state selected. I would like the selected value of the checkbox to be submitted into the ListingLocation table of the database. In the code I have written I have included a label that displays the id value of the selected box when submitted just to make sure that the checkbox is providing the correct value. For some reason when I select a state and then check a city and click submit, no value is written into the database. The label text changes to the number I want entered into the database, so it is generating the correct number, but not submitting. I have included my code below.

Jun 11, 2010I have a checkbox column in a Gridview that I would like to use to insert the value of one cell in the row into an access database. There will be a maximun of five cells allowed to be selected so there can be one value written to one field in the database up to the maximum of the five fields. The access database has five columns: Selection1 ,Selection2, Selection3 ,Selection4 and Selection5
When the checkbox is checked, the value of one cell (PliD) should be written to each field in the database. Ie: checkbox in row 1 should write PliD value to Selection1, checkbox in row 2 should write PliD value to Selection2, checkbox in row 3 should write PliD value to Selection3 and on depending on which checkbox has been checked. I am not sure how to get the value of the checkbox and write it into the corresponding fields in the database.
